Saw the Lego Batman movie last night. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would but you couldn't pay me to sit through it again. The new Resident Evil film is in the same boat. Not much danger of them winning Oscars like. I saw 3096 Days the other night. Nae a new film but I'd never seen it before. Pretty weird/harrowing film but it just about held my interest. Sounds like I need to see Manchester By The Sea.
  2. None of you pay much attention to the Eye-talians eh? They ken how to do it best. When I make spag bol it's much simpler than all of that. Decent mince, garlic, oregano, basil, bay leaves, passata, tomato puree, salt, pepper and maybe a beef stock cube. That's it. I love bacon, don't get me wrong, but if you're adding bacon and other stuff it'll eventually cease to be spag bol. Folk that pile in celery and carrots etc and what have you aren't making proper authentic spag bol. Carbonara is another dish commonly bastardised beyond recognition. 4 or 5 ingredients tops should be all you need for the whole dish.
  3. This. I don't think the big wheels at the top of the club would've concerned themselves too much with the thoughts of some of us neanderthal football fans.
  4. Simmie.
  5. Wonder what the buy out clause is. Wouldn't be surprised if it's quite low. Hopefully not less than a million.

I thoroughly enjoyed T2. Having not seen the 1st one since the 90s I didn't have it fresh in my mind but I don't remember it being anywhere near as good as the 2nd one? I may need to re-watch admittedly. I thought the glimpses back to the 1st one were well done. I liked all the characters but the way Spud and Begbie are does make them stand out more. Begbie's son looked like Craig Gordon and Kevin Bridges had a kid together. I didn't realise that Diane was also Margaret from Boardwalk Empire!

I enjoy the big two rugby tournaments usually. Dunno fuck all about it though. Are Scotland nae shite anymore? My prediction is the wooden spoon, getting "humbled" by Italy and another glorious defeat against England but signs that we're "making progress".
  8. Celtic could go the rest of the season without dropping a point if that's how one their closest competitors plays against them. Impotent performance. We deserved nothing. They badly missed Rogic and Dembele and were a long way from unbeatable but we played with fear and our midfield was missing. We struggled to string two passes together and a lapse in concentration cost us a goal. I thought defensively we mostly looked pretty good. Jack for me was easily our MOTM the match. Best performance I've seen from him in ages. I'd go as far as to say that was a proper captain's performance. When we did get into their final third we hoofed the ball back to Gordon or just out of play. Very frustrating night. I don't mind getting beat when we have a go and fight but I didn't see much of that. Special mention to the referee of last night's match Scott Brown. Cunt.
  9. With them missing the Thumb, Rogic and their £40m man Dembele I'm a little bit worried that it's going to be too easy for us tonight.
  10. Agreed. I prefer to think that he's moving into a bigger hoose becauuse he's settled and about to sign a new contract.
  11. I want to play Cardiff. If we win we get £2m for Hayes. If they win they can have him for £600k. I reckon we'd beat them.
  12. I heard that Hayes has agreed terms with Cardiff on a £20k a week deal but the clubs have still to agree a fee and apparently Cardiff have offered £800k. Not sure about the structure of that offer. Hayes apparently didn't think he'd still be here for the Dundee game. McGinn supposedly emptied his flat before he went on holiday so he apparently doesn't plan on staying. Stevie May was at Pittodrie for the Stranraer game so looks like he's our remaining target.
  13. If he canna break into our team he probably won't break into their team. But good luck to him. He's nae as good as he thinks he is though.
  14. No one in Scotland can afford him but aye possibly championship at a push. He's too susceptible to not bothering his arse for my liking. But when he's up for it he's an asset right enough.
  15. Would be delighted if they fucked off with their so called "interest". £600k doesn't strike me as genuine interest. Pricks. Even £1m is less than what he's worth to us. Less concerned about Jack leaving tbh be honest. Who'd take him?
  16. I think a guard of honour will suffice.
  17. I have no problem with onions in a blended soup (although I still prefer not to know they're there). Mushrooms were a food that I disliked but I really like them now. Love them sauteed or grilled. More or less in any form. Cheers for the vote of confidence, Al. But I'm a couple of years into my 30s now and still no real progress on the onion front! I love tomatoes in an Italian sauce or a pizza sauce. But not in their natural from or in ketchup. Gads.
  18. 11456 is Donsdaft is going. 11455 is he's nae.
  19. He said we had players who were technically good but still weren't "men". Alluded to mental and physical toughness (or lack thereof) being an issue.
  20. Derek McInnes basically said the other night that we don't have good young players coming through. He's in a results based business so he can't play youngsters that are clearly not good enough for the sake of it unfortunately.

    Andy Murray

I disagree with you re Nishikori. His chance at winning a slam has been and gone. I believe he lost to Cilic at Flushing Meadows a few years back. I don't think he'll get a better chance. He's always been a solid player but there are now and will be again (in my opinion) too many better players still on the go for him to win a slam. And at 27 years of age he's unlikely to develop much further. My money for the Aus Open is on Raonic. I've said a few times that I thought Federer was done but he just keeps on going. The business end of the Australian Open will shine a spotlight on where he's at with his game and body right now.

What made you think that, Al? It certainly came as a shock to me.
  23. Onions.. a food that I wish I liked (because they're in just about everything) but I don't think I ever will!
  24. Only time I've ever seen it is on those Aberdeen buy/sell Facebook pages when folk are desperately trying to shift it for mental money because they think it's valuable because it's got an AFC logo on it. Can't say I've ever seen it anywhere else.
  25. Aye but they need the money...
