  1. My blockbuster holiday this year is a distant memory now. But I think I'm nipping over to Holland for 2 or 3 days in July to surprise my half sister for her 50th. And hopefully a wee trip somewhere later in the year.
  2. Apple and mango or orange and passionfruit?
  3. Tyrant

    Dig this !

I reckon that would be pretty cool of you could play old school (Mastersystem/Megadrive/NES/SNES) games on it!
  4. Get rid. Money that could be far better spent elsewhere.
  5. You're nae going to fit in then! This place is hoachin' wi dicks. Only kidding. Enjoy yer stay.
  6. Worth a look?
  7. As much as I'd like to win this for the umpteenth time I'd prefer it if MBT got the glory.
  8. Nah min. Let's be having it I say. If we want to be in contention to win the league we have to play and beat the same teams as them. We don't deserve to win anything if we go through almost a whole season being unable to beat Dundee! Let's beat the Arabs on Saturday and then try and win every game until we play the Tims. If we do they might even shit themselves. I know the chances aren't huge but it's great to be in with a shout. :ultras: :ultras:
  9. In. 2-1 Dons. Taylor.
  10. 3rd last is it not?
  11. I'd bin sports like Football from the Olympics. Basically any sport that sees the Olympics as a relatively minor event. Tennis is a grey area because if they upped the ranking points available the importance would increase and by all accounts all the top players really want to win.
  12. I went for Rooney, Hayes and McGinn.
  13. For me it has to be Rooney. But it shows how well the squad has done when there are other people who are arguably also deserving.
  14. Agree completely regarding the goalkeepers and McGinn. And regarding Shinnie. Although tbh be honest this is the first I'm hearing of Shinnie fitting in at anywhere other than LB back!
  15. A CB who's best days are behind him you might get away with. A full back? Nope. I'm hopeful we get another season out of Russell. He wants to play on next season so fingers crossed he can stay injurey free and help the team I'm not convinced re Robson. Fantastic player and pro in his day but despite his good performance on Wednesday he's still a liability because of his habit of getting caught on the ball (which he also did at least once on Wednesday) and too many of his passes go astray. Although DM has my full trust so will leave the matter to him.
  16. Good news. Our defensive frailties have cost us this season and it's clear that Taylor and Reynolds have both missed him. Reynolds especially. Also they'll know that there's a little bit more competition for positions now so this news can only be good.
  17. Boy's piling on the beef like.
  18. I suspect there's some truth to what you alluded to, Rocket. There's no money in a planet full of healthy people. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if cures for various diseases were being repressed in the same way that technologies that release us from dependence on oil were repressed. But I've been a cynic for as long as I've been able to think for myself. Fuck sake.
  19. I was aboot to have a moan at the fact that I'm nae retired but then I read your 3rd line and changed my mind! The weather at the game last night was excellent and again today. But you generally only hear about our weather when folk are whinging about the rain. What most folk are unaware of is that the east/north east of Scotland generally gets the most sunshine out of the entire UK. Here's to a speedy recovery for Phoenix and many more sunny days to lounge about in the garden.
  20. Decent game. Another that should've been a lot more comfortable. Missed a few chances in the second half. There are a few candidates for MOTM the match but I would have given it to either Robson or Hayes.
  21. Aye there was.. but they're not interested in other fans (that they see as beneath them, and not just literally) joining hem. They sang their own songs that 99% of other fans wouldn't know so couldn't really join in even if they wanted to. And they moaned that the club put them in the RDU but then they go to the furthest back possibile part instead of trying to incorporate other fans. If I didn't know any better (and I do) I'd say they were just in it for themselves. :o :o :o They certainly made a noise though.
  22. Welcome to the world of being a Coldplay fan.
  23. The way I see it it's a decision made by your parents. As far as I'm concerned I never had a choice. My mother took me to a Dons game in the early 90s and that was that. I loved it and from that point on I was a Don. Some kids might try and deviate (to the Old Firm obviously ) so then it would be your responsibility as a parent to beat that phase out of them.
  24. Manc's right, Andrew. Just a wee joke aimed at your habit of posting some less than coherent points when possibly intoxicated. No offence intended. You are indeed a valued member of our wee community. By the way I can't help but notice the time at which you posted that....
