I'm as annoyed as the next fan that yet another deal is likely to fall through but to suggest that if Mark McGhee kept his mouth shut about who he does or doesn't have on trial when its fucking public knowledge anyway is absolutely comical. What difference does it make in an open market? Are we somehow to ensure that a strange looking black guy photographed in the P&J and BBC Sport playing in an AFC shirt in Austria doesn't attract any attention?

I think I remember the reports from the 1st game that was played in incredible heat, so much so that the referee allowed a five minute break in each half so both teams could take on some water! But still!

I've read it again, and I don't think thats how it reads at all. What I meant was that for each win, the bonus is almost the same if we are in the 6th position at the time, or 2nd chasing the title at the time. So its not where we finish in the league (although that may be subject to a separate bonus), but where we are following each win.

Aye, I see that BB. Although theres not much of an incentive there between being in 6th position or in 1st, the difference only being £200! There is the stick too I guess - no bonus payments if we're 7th or lower, or for a draw.

Doesn't say which club though, is it for AFC? All that is mentioned is bonuses for matches against the OF...

As we've known for some time now, the football training facilities in the North East of Scotland are largely piss poor. Why any other side would come here when we don't even want to stay ourselves is beyond me. As long as the pre-season preparation is adequate for the fitness of the players and they are ready for the first game of the season then I don't care where we play.

I don't. We're going to get the comparisons with the Calderwood era regardless. And the Paterson era, and old uncle Ebbe... etc. The point is that such comparisons don't tell us anything about anything. Different players, different tactics, different opposition teams. There is nothing to gain from it. In reality, with the departures that we've had and the lack of bodies coming back in return of course quality will have suffered, but I think it'll have suffered across the board in the SPL. What is for sure is that we're in for another season of largely shite football, interspersed with probably moments of joy....I think this would have been the case even if we still had JC. Not to say I'd rather have him as that debate has been done to death. (I don't and we've moved on now).

Bought mine a month or so back before the super-early-doors-cheapo deadline. I'm needing to move my seat though, further back to make sure its a covered section! Not really bothered about the options for Europe tickets unless we get through this next round, I'm away for both of the ties.
