Did it have a lead on it?
-
The 3-1 scoreline certainly flattered Celtic. But I don't think we can complain to much about the defeat based on the second half performance. We played very well in the first half and I just can't help but think that if we'd held gone into HT in the lead that it would have been a very different result today. That goal was so important for their confidence and so detrimental to ours that was the difference. From my view, I couldn't clearly see Celtics first goal so didn't realise it was a Considine OG. Up until the end I thought he was coping quite well under considerable pressure, it was just frustrating that McDonald's goals looked so easy. Severin is not a captain. No motivation, no interest, no passion. Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out. Other than that, there wasn't really much amiss with the rest of the team. We generally played well, looked threatening on occasion and coped better than I expected given the players that we had available. Tommy Wright and Maguire partnered well and I was particularly impressed by Maguire in the first half. Industrious performances from Kerr and Foster. Duff and Aluko were fairly ineffective, with Aluko once again flattering to deceive. Sponsors MOTM? WTF? Paton and Pawlett didn't do much wrong, but I don't think there were going to make much of an impact on the game anyway. Langfield made some very good saves, and I can't really bring myself to award him MOTM as he did concede three goals, albeit defensive errors. So its probably Kerr for me. Highlight: high five from Angus the Bull. Lowlight: The stench of the OF

1-1 Fletcher.

I didn't think he did much wrong in the first half that warranted substitution at half time!

I thought Considine handled himself well for most of the first half against a physical Celtic attack, just those laspses at the end which cost us dear. It shows that we clearly miss Diamond in the middle of the defence there and that position is not best suited to Considine on his own. I like Considine's attitude, work rate and effort but I think there are certain parts of his game to improve which could make him a very good defender in the coming years. I was disapointed with Considine towards the end today but the real villain was Severin. That's where I think the criticism should be focused. What a fucking imposter. Please leave now. Cunt.

Well taken by O'Shea. Almunia has been tested a few times already.

I'd say that we should be judging our ticket prices by that of our peers, namely Hibs and Dundee United. Hearts FC are not a club upon which to use as an example of a good business model! It will be interesting to see how the other club prices compare to last season. I don't think many clubs have particularly excelled in the last season - so I don't think increases will be justified. -

Are those Caley/Hibs season ticket prices this seasons or next? -

An increase in season ticket prices would have been the last straw for many supporters, and probably the tipping point for those who were considering not renewing. I think given the current economic conditions, and the performances over the last few seasons we're going to see a reduction in ST numbers but hopefully nothing too dramatic. Corporate hospitality and gate receipts has usually been a 50-50 split in terms of revenue for the club. I can see the hospitality stream sufferring this year as companies in the NE look to cut unnecessary items from their expenses. Personally, I'd like to see more thought into the targeting of young fans to put bums on seats. After all, these kids will hopefully continue to watch AFC as they grow up so it's more of a long term view thats needed here. -
Pretty unentertaining stuff so far!

Great entertainment but I'd imagine that neither set of fans will be particularly delighted about their teams conceding 4 goals each. Almost all of the goals were very well taken, although the very poor defending led to each one. I can't help think that if this were a SPL match we'd start getting ridiculed about having a 'mickey mouse league' (which on further thought it pretty much is!)

Great goal from Arshavin to make it 2-2. Game on.
-
Yeah, thats the one. I think he transferred south from Montrose RNLI. Always knew he'd be a sailor.
-
I'm sure the lad who was on that last week with the RNLI went to my school. Surprised he had a girlfriend though.

Just watched the Inbetweeners from last week. I'd forgotten how funny the first series was. Peep show is due for a 6th series this summer so looking forward to that too, one of my favourite comedys on TV. Also watching Oil Riggers (Wednesdays Ch5), which is along the same lines as Deadliest Catch/Ice Road truckers. It follows three competing drill crews in West Texas - unbelievable some of the stuff they get away with!

Yeah I watched this too last night. Can't say I have any sympathy for these guys who are effectively 'imprisoned' after they have served their sentences. The more rehabilitation they get the better, and the facility is by far the safest place to keep these people. For the prisoners and children. The ones who accept the treatment are the ones who deserve to get released, although its understandable that society is unable to forgive their crimes once they are back out. Although I'd hope that they get similar psychological treatment in prison. (As well as a fucking good beating).
