    Summer

Impressive. A summer of that should see you pretty ripped. I've got a lads adventure holiday break in June. I also need to take a week off to go an buy a new car, so think spending will be a bit tight. Spending pretty much the rest of the summer either offshore or on work courses, so not particularly excited about that. Planning to go off to Canada in the Autumn.
  2. I hope this talk of protests can now be put to bed. What a load of ill-thought out, unneccessary, ineffective bollocks.
  3. Wrong. These protestors were calling for Jimmy to be sacked. Many AFC fans will agree that we are not as good as we should be. This was a protest for Jimmy to be sacked. Well done for fuck all.
  4. Just another day at the AFC office. Rather uninspiring stuff but three points nonetheless. I would say that we didn't look as hopeless as we have in recent games. Langfield was solid at the back, and Caley didn't do much to give the defence any real problems throughout the game. Severin at CB was the right choice for this game given the cicrumstances and whilst not outstanding he marshalled well. Foster looked resourceful and passed well, the midfield look rather lighweight and we missed Kerr and Diamond big time today. Aluko was busy, but didn't pose any real threat. I was very disappiointed by Jamie Smith today. It looked like he had lost all ability to even pass the ball to a team mate! Lee had a quiet game, but held the ball well and Maguire didn't have much to work with. I though the game had 0-0 written all over it! Glad to see McDonald on the scoresheet, particularly as I had a fiver on him to score at 16-1. 3pts well deserved.
  5. A lad who I was with today lost three friends in the tragedy. Real lump in the throat stuff. The silence was impeccably observed. From the main stand:
  6. I came out of the main stand hospitality after the game and asked one of the JMG mob if he was our taxi driver such was the small amount of muppets there. I swear there was more taxi drivers than JMGers!
  7. I'll settle for 5-1 Barca. See how Ze Germans like them apples.
  8. 3-0 Its getting Messi. 1-1 Liverpool Chelsea too. Ivanovic.
  9. It makes me sad to hear this. As someone who has a lot of experience of strokes in my family, the after effects of even the mildest of strokes can be devastating. Watching someone you know and love being 'robbed' of their personality after a surviving a stroke is heartwrenching. I hope Eoin makes a full recovery.
  10. I see there is a Banner for him in the away end.
  11. Man u certainly dominating the possession now and playing a fluent, passing game thats great to watch. However, Porto look very threatening on the break.

  13. Yes! I love Total Wipeout, one of my favourite programmes on TV at the moment!
  14. Langfield seems to be one of our most consistent performers this season. Great to hear he had a good game. I'll wait until the highlights before I make comment about the game but it seemed from the radio commentary at half time that we were all over the place in the 1st half and that Motherwell thouroughly deserved their lead. A point from this match definately feels like a point well earned given our current form, but what disappoints me is the manner in which we went about it. Of all the teams that still have something to play for (Europa cup spot or top 6: Motherwell, Hibernian, Hearts, Dundee Utd and Aberdeen) we were the only team that didn't seem to 'go for it'.
  15. The two events aren't even related, and thats the way it should remain.
  16. Just started watching The Wire sice it has recently started on BBC2 so I think it'll take a bit of time to get into it, but so far so good. It will be have to be great if I'm going to go to the effort of catching up to 5 seasons or so worth! Does anyone know if there are plans to repeat broadcasts of Generation Kill on FX? I think I missed a couple of episodes, I didn't realise there were only a handful of them.
  17. I'm indifferent to whether he stays or goes, and that worries me. I'm pretty apathetic towards anything to do with the club at the moment and while I'm not screaming for JCs head at the moment, I'm not very happy with his management of the team at all...I just don't care either way and I'm switching off because of it. I just hope that this is not the way that many others are feeling too, because there will come a time that as much as I love AFC and going to the football that I'll go the way of hundreds (possibly thousands) of others and find something else to do on a Saturday afternoon.
  18. Hmmm. So AFC have released no more information that we already knew about the proposed community stadium at a time when the manager and club is under as much pressure as they've seen since the departure of Steve Paterson....just when there is talk of protests against the manager?
  19. F1 stinks. I'm not sure you can even call it a 'sport' anymore such is the level of corruption and unsporting behaviour on show. I'm not surprised though with scumbags like Ecclestone and Mosley in charge!
  20. Perhaps a legally binding issue, although I'd suggest that in good faith BP as operator and Bond should be funding this between them without much of a thought.
  21. I think its just the fleet of super pumas that have been grounded. Do bond also fly Sikorskys?
  22. Just watch the rest of the media back 'our lewis' to the hilt though!
