  1. Only one person trying to be the keyboard hardman here, and it ain't me. You're clearly incapable of any sort of debate whatsoever. I don't have a problem with fans sticking up for themselves. Getting in a taxi to go to an arranged fight at a city centre hotel is hardly what I'd call sticking up for yourself.
  2. Aye ok. No point in even engaging in conversation with you. Jager, I admit that the police attitude and government policy towards football fans is a disgrace. I've said as much already. I just don't think that is the whole reason that we are treated they way we are. No where did I say that rugby fans are all good. But experience of violence at football compared to that of rugby speaks for itself. Of course there are isolated incidents at both sports...but organised violence isn't an isolated incident. Sorry to hear of your experiences, but I hope the cunts were caught and punished accordingly. Bans, fines the lot. Disproportionate? They've been banned from the football for a few years and fined. One was already a repeat offender for a similar offence. You'd have thought they were jailed by the reaction of some. Still here? Have you not fucked off yet?
  3. Well I said 'one' of the reasons, but just glaze over that part and dismiss it outright, eh? I agree that policing and stewarding is well over the top on occasion and that football fans are an easy target for the police. However, guys like those in the story do the rest of us no favours whatsoever...they are partly responsible for the way that football matches are policed in the UK. If they continue to act like this while representing Aberdeen FC - it'll be the rest of the support and our club who will suffer because of it. Rugby fans, eh? We'll I've been to the rugby plenty of times and I've not seen any of the behaviour that I've witnessed at football matches. Drunk, yeah probably. But have I seen rugby fans launch assault fellow fans? Have I seen rugby fans, walk the streets in gangs after a match looking for a fight with opposition? Or harrass other folk on trains or on buses, throw bottles, assault bar staff etc.? I've seen all of this at the football, and with Aberdeen FC. In my experiences, I have seen far worse fan behaviour at the football than I'm ever likely to see watching egg-chasers. These guys may be Aberdeen fans. Many of them probably are not - I couldn't really give a monkeys. The fact is that they have been convicted of violent offences and punished accordingly...and quite rightly in my opinion.
  4. Folks like these are one reason the rest of us are treated like criminals by police and stewards at football matches in the first place.
  5. Glad these cretins have been caught and punished. Silly young lads and hopefully this will have taught them a lesson. Keep out of it or keep the fuck away from our club. Dicks.
  6. Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire
  7. MGMT - Electric Feel
  8. I hope you went mental when Mackie scored!
  9. A very admirable thing that the club does each and every year. Well done AFC.
  10. I agree that its pointless getting hot and bothered about it. Happy 1000 by the way boboisared.
  11. Don't think she's really making a point there. Thats just what it says on the website.
  12. Fuck it. Going to the rubgay instead (again!).
  13. Not going. Pieing it for the Rubgay instead...

    ^ Oh for god sake.
  15. Wot about them Muslims eh? Don't sit next to them on buses!
  16. Leave that pish to the real bigots, eh?
  17. I was the other voter for Hodgkiss although there was a decent effort from a few others yesterday.
  18. Correct. However, there is investment from the industry towards AFC and we are quite heavily sponsored by it...just look around the advertising boards at Pittodrie. I'm not sure how much revenue that generates, but the support is there. Matchday sponsors, corporate entertainment, season tickets for staff....it all adds up. The majors are huge multinational corporations who would gain nothing from involvement with AFC. Just because they have a regional HQ here, doesn't mean they should have any allegiance towards us. It would be nice though! The only real involvement is usually in community projects, youth development or charity events...all good local PR for relatively little investment for majors.
  19. You've got to see the irony of a manager asking the fans not to berate the players for their "individual", "sloppy" mistakes, when he does the exact same thing from the sidelines after 5 minutes of play. If you've ever sat near him and heard him from the main stand then you'll know all about his form of 'encouragement'.
  20. Because the Tombola says so. Do not question its reasoning, it is an inanimate object.
  21. He's the best of a bad bunch.
  22. After the start we've had to the season and the run of games that we have to come, tonights game was HUGE for the club. JC failed to see this, due to his own arrogance. He's not a mangager, he's not a tactician, he's not a coach, he's not a motivator...etc.
  23. I guess his talking speaks volumes!
  24. Not really, but I'd imagine he is answerable to shareholders and to a certain extent the fans. Don't worry he has a human shield though...
