  1. For some reason the odds on betfair were 1.5 for -3 and 1.64 for -2.5. I'm not sure what the diff between asian handicap and regular handicap is but i took the -2.5. I'm thinking 4-0 anyway.
  2. The intelligence level of dirt is unanalyzable due to its lack of sentience. The comparison is therefore purely figurative and requires no source or experience. Stupid - stu?pid ??/?stup?d, ?styu?/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [stoo-pid, styoo?] Show IPA adjective, -er, -est, noun Use stupid in a Sentence See web results for stupid See images of stupid –adjective 1. lacking ordinary quickness and keenness of mind; dull. 2. characterized by or proceeding from mental dullness; foolish; senseless: a stupid question. 3. tediously dull, esp. due to lack of meaning or sense; inane; pointless: a stupid party. 4. annoying or irritating; troublesome: Turn off that stupid radio. 5. in a state of stupor; stupefied: stupid from fatigue. 6. Slang. excellent; terrific. I think this thread demonstrates the 'experience' that Foster is as excellent and terrific as dirt...which again, is a qualitatively unanalyzable term when describing dirt.
  3. Aye. Been very unimpressed with Foster the past few seasons but think he's grown up this season. He's been one of very few consistent performers which is exactly what is needed when largely the same group of players are being asked to adapt to a new regime.
  4. As much as I want to contribute a pun of my own. "waft of changes" oh dear unnamed journo. The phrase is 'raft of changes' Pedantic I know...I'll get my (second) coat.
  5. Qots v Ross being more of a draw as a promotion match rather than of no consequence is valid certainly. Also though, I think that would be somewhat due to the ticket price for such a 1st div game being less than for that spl game. If attendences and turnover at the end of a season are needed then maybe they should discount tickets for the lower mid-table type games. Or even offer a rewards scheme where if you attended x number of home games you get significant discounts for the last game or two. It would be nice to see clubs do more to promote an away following in a similar way by subsidising their own allocation of tickets for the fans who pay through the club. (EDIT - obviously there isn't much incentive for the away club to subsidize their own fans' tickets since i don't think (?) they get any of the profit from gate receipts. But I suppose there's some incentive for the home club to subsidize the tickets for their opposition's fans if it makes them more money over all.) Obviously I'm not a financial whizz though so how much discount can be given without diminishing the profit I dunno. What I do know however is that the availability of student discounts is a significant factor for me and one reason why going to tic park in the league is not something I tend to do. £25 for that pish? fuck no. And of course the lack of meaningful fixtures is to do with lack of euro places to fight for. A bit off the wall maybe but how about something along the lines of what happens in many rugby tournaments where, say there's 16 teams and the top 4 are euro places, bottom 2 relegation, 3rd 4th bottom relegation play off but the teams 5th - 8th enter a knock out competition and so do the teams 9th - 12th. In rugby it's usually something like the 'vase' and the 'bowl'. Not exactly stellar competitions but better to win them than lose them. That way at least there is seeding to play for throughought the league for as long as you can mathematically catch or be caught by someone.
  6. I don't believe so.
  7. Are Caley paying his wages while on loan? If so then I guess letting him stay out on loan is good for us as it allows us to put the money elsewhere. If not then probably best getting him back if the only alternative is season long loan (paid for by us). The tone of Butcher's comments make me think that Caley are paying but potentially can only afford to deal in month to month loan. In which case, it's fine while they can pay but fuck em if they're wanting to get some months for free.
  8. ha! I loled at your observation.
  9. I do worry about the 'nothing at stake' games but like dave says, it could free teams up to put on a more entertaining, attacking display since there's no added pressure. The other thing about the end of the season is that it's also a motivation to get along and enjoy it while you can since the summer is dull without any games.
  10. Wouldn't the smaller teams see their folowing grow though? I'd think the reason their crowds are insignificant is that they are bored of watching each team 4 times a year. In the case of small clubs that means a smaller proportion of games they are likely to win and so the fickle fans see an excuse not to go. Aberdeen might be less of an attractive place to visit twice, but a good trip once a season. So whereas person A opts of out Pitt game 1 and person B opts out of game 2, with only 1 trip to Pitt the two are more likely to attend. I'm not saying attendences would double or reach the OF twice a season level but I think it would increase as time goes on. Also more teams means more rivalries. Ness and Ross would potentially take as many people to Pitt as Hibs no?
  11. Irvine was absolutely shit hot in a good team. Ando carried a shit team beyond its means. Can't really take one or the other when we'd kill for either!
  12. hmmm 1st. ok. that's just mean! 2nd. Do what makes you happy. 3rd. Well that was a little bit incoherent. Please name me any one person or group who cost AFC as much money as the Ultras did! I tried to like the ultras but they made it abundantly clear that they didn't need 'respect'. So they went bust. c'est la vie. why the worries? Cry me a river! A guy died at the game this week but these juveniles are getting more attention than that...! MMG!!!!
  13. a) I didn't realise my negative karma was from the rocket-stalker. I'd not have reposted if I knew. b)kow. that I don't know. I'd imagine the club were aiming to shift the blame to those who deserved it...hence the sudden demise of the ultras. only a guess.

    lycra is not your friend!
  15. My point is did the ultras raise more money for the club than they cost the club? i think not but please prove me wrong... Sigma (and The Utd game alone yet to be proved...or never to be proved since the 'club' disbanded) seem to have been costly beyond anything a tin-rattling fund couldve raised...did they even have a tin-rattling fund? maybe...but did it match the thousands of pounds they cost the club? how about donstalk set up a a donation fund? we'll make more than those "honour& respect" weirdos would ever make. how about we support the club instead of acknowedging these nobodies? EDIT - instead of 'booing' me for this, do like I asked, prove that I'm wrong in suggesting the ultras cost Aberdeen FC more money than they made.

Lassie on beeb going on and on about the terrible snow. Newsreader Baldini (with the best eyes ever) mentions snow chains... ..."oh but how often do we get this type of weather???" erm well pretty coincidently every time you feel like complaining about it! half hour to change all four tyres or four weeks to pretend you're a victim of nature! What we need is Islam4UK!!! they'll sort this shit out! ha!
  20. bit of both?
  21. And the Sigma flares? A self-congratulatory group of nobodies who cost the club money without giving anything appreciable back. RIP Thoughts with your families... p.s. on a more serious note... those banners like in the above pic are great but why do you need to be in a club to produce them? i didn't think the ultras made a ton of cash. the ultras went on ad nausium about how afc wanted rid of them. the banners weren't produced by more than a couple of people so why can't these people do it on behalf of afc instead of "oh look at me i'm like a central european in ne scotland" back the club or fuck off. your not special just because you think you're different.
  22. Aww. Operation Orr getting too close?

  24. What an unbelievable amount of shite this guy speaks!
  25. Hate to go over old ground but I don't think it's who has the reigns that is making people quick to judge, it's whether Mcghee would be getting arguably harshly judged so quickly if he'd been appointed at a less financially ridiculous time, while we are all depressingly used to the lack of investment in playing staff. Until it is evident that we have progressed at all, let alone in a way that Calderwood couldn't have if he'd been supported, this will probably continue.
