  1. Zander cleared to start training again. Must be awfy unfit by now though.
  2. Can I be the first one to add, Paul Hegarty, I'm gonnae smash yer fuckin face in ya jute loving cunt! And as for 'Nicnac' I'll break his fuckin legs.
  3. I missed the bloody train this morn so didn't make it but alls well that ends well. must be due a fine from the sfa for all these reds. ach well.
  4. Agree completely. I really liked Touzani (what I saw of him) and think we'd have been much better with him last season, let alone this year!
  5. Worst Aberdeen Player of the Decade: Dan Smith Worst homegrown player: Tiernan Worst signing: McNamara Worst goalkeeper: Souter Worst defender: Smith Worst midfielder: Tiernan Worst forward: Craig Worst manager: Pele Pick your worst starting XI from the decade: Souter Smith, Whyte, Bus, McNamara Thornley, Tiernan, Winter, Muirhead Craig, Blaha Worst Game of the Decade: QoS Biggest single disappointment of the decade: Lack of ambition and direction
  6. Whoever pays the highest proportion of 5k a week? NEXT! Transfer fee? NEXT!
  7. I think the total obsession Dundee seem to have developed for anything and everything AFC is close to warranting 'the official let's all laugh at scumdee thread'. They're like the ugly rich girl in school who constantly tries to bribe the pretty girls' boyfriends with promises of cash if they go around telling folk they rode her.
  8. I was half expecting a humping before but now I wonder if they're going to have a crisis of confidence. Our team will be close to full strength, their in turmoil and I doubt their caretaker has the nouse to turn that around in so few days so the games there for the taking.
  9. Only a total jakey with no knowledge about football would ever suggest such a thing. Agree with all of this.
  10. While I admire his no nonsense attitude, I question his motivational skills.
  11. Me? Hammered? Never!
  12. Wouldn't be bad if we suddenly found out en route to scumdee that we'd signed him. ...or brought him in on trial again.
  13. In/Out: In Pre-match: Train Match: Shed Post-match: Train them I may find a public house Prediction: Bit of a lottery...maybe 2-2
  14. I'd be keener on him if he does or can play central attacking mid. That's the type of player I think we need (possibly more than any other position). He's a big lad so could have the strength Aluko doesn't. Maybe I was unduly grumpy before but I don't like the Hat style 'agree wi me or you know nothing' arguments. I'm not claiming he's shite but whether the vid is taken to indicate quality or not is subjective not objective. Peace and good will and all that.
  15. Have a look at page 1 of this thread, specifically post 1. Or watch the vid... If he can play centre mid as well though, then obviously that is a further positive in the '1 man in 2 men out' feasibility study.
  16. I'd not be surprised. He must want a game and probably wouldn't want to risk going back to aberdeen and fucking up his status by being crocked and/or worse than when he left. Not the same risk if he goes to a team like the HIVs. As we say when folk leave us to go elsewhere, it's a short career...gotta do what's best for him and his family...yadda yadda.
  17. Good post indicating knowledge instead of blind faith. I don't understand why so many replies to me have brought up points I already made. i.e. If we sign him beyond this season then it will be a good bit of Aluko-esque buisiness if he's good, or a waste of a wage if he loses interest. If we don't sign him then it's a Walker-esque deal with only the scot cup as meaningful games. Hence me saying if he's a good player who we only have til end of the season and don't win the cup then it's an irrelevant deal...unless we're going to qualify for europe through the league... And for those desperate to believe they're watching amazing football, he isn't 'picking out a pass' in general, he's booting it in a loosely defined direction and the defence isn't of a standard to prevent marshall's team mate retreiving the ball, or else the person who he is 'picking out' is in a massive amount of space that even a blind monkey could successfully 'pick out'. As Padre sensibly suggested, none of that reflects how someone will perform in competative games. So why the fuss? Though the video doesn't convince me of his skill, I'm sure he'll ultimately be of similar quality to Aluko, Vidal, Walker (all of whom i liked) but 2 of those players featured in a team aiming fo european qualification and the other actually played in europe. I'd like to believe we're still aiming for that but I can't see us achieving anything apart from the cup. Therefore if we don't win the cup or at least keep him on next season, this deal is meaningless in terms of rebuilding the squad. Thankfully Stewart has pointed out that we seemingly have the agreement that we can sign him on a free if we want. I was under the impression that had to be negotiated and would probably require the same nominal fee that usually scuppers our deals. Would've been good if someone had said that last night instead of just being desperate to believe the hype. edit - yes bobby (just seen yr latest bit of sarcasm) it'll be amazing to see someone in Aluko's position who can pass a ball...which Aluko can also do and who can take a slightly worse free kick than Mulgrew...brilliant. If he's the 1 player in for those 2 leaving then we'd need a shitload of transfer kitty cash for it to be a good bit of business.
  18. It wouldn't just be a signing til the end of the season then would it? I already mentioned that scenario of signing him up longer term in re Aluko or alternatively a waste of a wage.
  19. EXACTLY! ffs fishing? Point is - A good player? Yes he was. Have him back? Yes please. Any chance? No fucking way! At least walker had meaningful games to play in. A loan signing to the end of this season is irrelevant if it doesn't win us the cup. Right. That's my colours nailed to the mast, nailed again...again...again and then once more. I hope I'm wrong.
  20. I can see him lumping the ball forward hoping someone gets onto the end of it and since the defences are static someone does. Same as I can see him hitting the ball towards the keeper and getting a goal because the keeper is soft (after he's hit the woodwork a couple times...not sure why hitting the woodwork qualifies for a best of compilation, unless...). I'm bored of the desperation for a saviour, let alone the expectation that we're going to get one. He may very well be a slight improvement on the people like mark kerr who are not spl standard, but average ability displayed in reserve (at best) games doesn't demonstrate an above average footballing ability. And even if he actually is good, so what? If he helps us win the scottish cup then I'll eat my words but otherwise what's the liklihood he'll be with us beyond the end of a completely meaningless season? There's a chance he'll be the next aluko but there's a chance he'll be the next josh walker...except without the meaningful games to play in, and of course the chance he'll be yet another waste of a wage. Anyway, I haven't meant to piss on anyone's spark of enthusiasm. I just don't like the desperation to build somebody up as if there's reason to believe he won't be yet another let down.
  21. Really? Our midfield has been shit but like I said originally - repeated hoofing up the pitch for the first couple mins doesn't excite me. We'll see what he does for us since he seems inevitably to be coming our way.
  22. Yes the vid is 8mins but it's almost 2mins in before he does anything even decent. As for the, 'if he hadn't...' right yes of course I'd have questioned why a vid was made about a player who rather than doing nothing very special, did nothing whatsoever. I like the way you put out some video evidence for others to form their own opinions about, without any premeditated idea of what the correct opinion is.
  23. That must be it. Not that I had a look and came to the conclusion that since his 'good' play had more to do with bad defending/goalkeeping than his own skill, the video then makes him look nothing special. Not that of course.
  24. Aquillani looks merde right enough. I had that game for a draw. Fucking raging cos I was in a good mood and givin the barmaid a little bit of chat then when the goal went in I just sat growlin into my pint. Then headed home and found out my headphones are bust. Shit day.
