  1. when is it roughly? If I can make it to glasgow then i'd be up for that.
  2. Scotland 4-4 England in the quines' footie. 2-1 to England; 3-2 to Scotland; 4-3 to England; last minute Scottish equaliser. Wouldn't mind seeing some highlights if they're around.
  3. The problem is lack of people getting involved in politics. Scotland has less people elected and less people even standing for elections than pretty much any developed nations. End result is constant diddies in positions of power who are free to go on being diddies because electorate have no choices, no interest and no influence.
  4. "Most people want to sit where most people sit" How much did they spen on this enlightening survey?
  5. it's a boost if there are more numbers and less moany ballbags. that being said, being booed off by thousands of school kids wouldn't be much of a boost
  6. ah mizer you're being hunted down. knew that kim jong un jibe wasn't a good idea!
  7. Shit! I just remembered I don't really hate spurs, i just hate the dickhead spurs fan in work. Can i change my answer to southampton? I HATE southampton.
  8. Watching it on motd2. Jonathan pierce saying we may hear more about the incident where arsenal fans threw a banana at bale when taking a corner. He's not quite understanding what racism is eh? Bale looks like a monkey. Taking the piss out of him for being a monkey boy is not quite the same as chucking bananas at black folk ffs!
  9. I actually quite like Hull. York is really nice. Dundee is different.
  10. thistle romping it at dunfermline. this season shows up the farse of 1 promotion spot. jags and morton both deserve an spl place next season and hearts more than deserve to get relegated.
  11. Chelsea, West Ham and Spurs.
  12. All the positive attributes folk say they want apply to the likes of Solbaaken. He'd probably be a good shout actually, but at the end of the day our choices are journeyman, failure, or young and totslly/relatively untried. Question is, what name do you think will get the crowds back initially, get the team challenging for 2nd, hang around for a meaningful length if time, and ideally lay foundations for continued success. If we can't have that then we're better off operating onca revolving door basis. Like now but without the compensation packages. If we can have that, then I'd be very glad to know who our realistic targets are. I've said before I think Hartley is the most promising young manager around and I'd happily have him. Others aren't so sure. Whatever we do, it's going to need to work this time.
  13. almost as awesome a prize as this http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/motor-racing/red-bulls-vip-trip-budget-airline-hotel-in-the-wrong-country-and-youre-not-a-vip-8512210.html
  14. for a team that can't afford a full set of players we do seem to splash the cash on some monumentally pointless jobs
  15. what really stinks the most about it is the fact that we're emotionally blackmailed. As I said, I find it hard to want to attend any Scottish football games, knowing the system's rigged, but at the same time, that's exactly what the huns want to happen! the authorities in scotland seem to exist solely to drive the fans away from the non-OF teams. I'd guess if that happens, all our kids, or kids' kids will start supporting an OF team. It's like a protectionist racket designed to kill Scottish football as an entity and force the English FA to invite the OF, or an atlantic league to happen. It's senseless. And what's worse, if clubs are now businesses as they so often tell us they are, how is this current model not in violation of competition laws designed to prevent market place monopoly? Fuck football, fuck businessmen, and fuck capitalism.
  16. If Grassi's in as midfielder then Winters should be in as the keeper. I agree with Tyrant re Ifil. The fact no one's mentioned Ricky Foster depresses the shite oota me. He was utter bobbins for all but half a year.
  17. "No competitive advantage was gained on the pitch" Think I'm done with Scottish football. £23 a game in a competition they don't even pretend isn't rigged? Can't justify that anymore.
  18. no, that's why I mentioned that after reasons for paying the expense of punting him early. As I've said before I see no reason to believe we'll be getting a better manager in, but the tide's definitely turned - again - so the only thing that has a chance of getting extra people through the turnstiles is yet another managerial change.
  19. Fully agree. Murrayfield is easily my favourite stadium in Scotland and it's criminally under-used. Hampden is easily my least favourite. Never experienced a good atmosphere in the new hampden, even when full.
  20. The only reasons sacking now would make sense is if they reckon crowds will improve enough to make up for expense. And that any out of contract players we want to keep/bring in aren't going to consider joining while the folk in charge are for the chop. Plus we need to spend the summer strengthening the squad, not scrambling around for new coaches. But even saying that, until it's mathematically impossible to make top six/europe, it's still down to the fans to support the players, if not the coaches. I'm fairly disgusted with how this season's gone for many reasons, but the booing players off after a win and then at half time last night, plus the routine 'langfield get to fuck' chants while still at 0-0, are so brainless it's almost unbelievable. No wonder the players look to have no confidence. They're playing in front of some of the worst fans around.
  21. meat is murder. but so are chicken and cheese
  22. we'll manage to stagger blindly into the top 6, and I'd be surprised if we don't manage to stumble into the European places. Hearts on the other hand will finish 10th and then go bust.
