  1. Even the last couple of wimbledons haven't been as good on bbci as they were at first. I remember them having about 10 matches to choose from, then down to a couple. Will be interesting to see how the coverage on their website compares too, considering they couldn't even keep spl commentary.
  2. Didn't realise Danny Wilson went to hearts on loan. Dicks.
  3. Would be more critical of the sub Turgott for not keeping it in the corner. Amazing that City missed an absolute sitter and also hit the bar. Definitely can't see Lambert having a job come lunch time!
  4. congratulations Rory Mcardle.
  5. holy flurking shnit!
  6. all well and good thinking about next season, but slightly more significant to be addressing the glaring problems we have this season.
  7. The latter stages will be on the beeb too manc. Final definitely, but canny mind if semis too edit - Saturday 26 January Women's singles final, 0825 GMT on BBC Two Sunday 27 January Men's singles final, 0815 GMT on BBC Two
  8. just incredible. gutted for wawrinka because that would've been a career-defining win. djokovic is like one of the big bad bastards at the end of a level on super mario (even if he does look more like the mad green dragony thing).
  9. it is just. so. shite! Mali 1-0 up late on after the Niger keeper drops it at the feet of Keita. Kind of get the feeling African football had a short spell where they produced some real players, but now they're getting old and the younger lot are utter ding.
  10. Shit result, but when the story begins with "Fran Sandaza has finally ended his 5 month goal drought in the Third Division." it's still worthy of a
  11. been doing the rounds today. http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/hey-man-nice-shot-video-of-a-bulgarian-politician-escaping-assassination?fb_action_ids=561750148752&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_source=other_multiline&action_object_map={%22561750148752%22%3A393230264104233}&action_type_map={%22561750148752%22%3A%22og.likes%22}&action_ref_map=
  12. I enjoyed the last two because they had some great attack v pish defence. tbf group A is easily the shittest. Ghana and Ivory Coast are usually watchable.
  13. Off to an absolute stormer! South Africa 0-0 Cape Verde Islands
  14. very poor. if we don't get in any defenders before the end of the month then i'll never again listen to anyone who tries to claim our board have any ambition whatsoever. Why bother having any good players at all if we can't/won't plug the gaps in the squad?
  15. Btw it sounds like pawlett will be coming back. Craigy Broon: "I do not want to discuss if Peter Pawlett will come back until I have discussed the issue further with Peter, his dad, his agent and Steve Lomas. I will have a chat with Steve on Monday or Tuesday. We could just say your coming back but I want everyone to be comfortable with the decision."
  16. that's the thing that's so wrong with it. I'm all for women getting parity with men in terms of their wage. but in this particular sport it's totally unjust because the women play so little tennis in the singles that they can then walk straight back on to the court and play doubles. So they don't get parity, they actually get way more than the men. the simple answer is play the same length of match. equality's means being treated equally and having equal responsibilities.
  17. sensible way of looking at it. and by fuck i'd be nervous about the future of my club if i was a fan of an average L1 team dishing out wages like that on young prospects!
  18. tbh anyone with ties to the netherlands who chooses to live elsewhere is a suspicious character who clearly lacks the right kind of ambition in my book manc.
  19. nae necessarily. should be the surgery improves his overall health so i'm sure he could get back playing if he really wants to
  20. i mean on the outward side of things. the whole 'philosophy' of not spending in the transfer market anymore seems ludicrous when they're dishing out wages like that to zeroalli type players like walcott - unplayable about 3 times a season and very average the rest of the time. also heard it's 115k a week rather than 100k. madness.
  21. not sure why arsenal get so much praise for supposed financial good sense. they just gave walcott a contract for 100k per week plus 3m signing bonus. good have got a few quality youngsters for that.
  22. Yeah it's quite obvious when you look at men's tennis how much better the slams are than the atp matches because the 5 sets allows for momentum to shift.
  23. yeah if you're going with the flow of most dons fans you're fucked. the police don't want to see a load of tanked up dandies shouting and waving their hands around.
  24. definitely jobs for the boys, but that exact same arrangement did get us 600k for Lee Miller. What I can't figure out is what McGee has ever done to return the favours
  25. I can't remember a time when football had it's head this far up its own arse. The way some owners are behaving is a total embarrassment
