I like that tam.
Thing is, make the whole thing socialist and the success of a club will directly feed in to social projects. It's how sport should be. Feed the grassroots and then feed off the grassroots. Anything's better than our current system where vast amounts flow into pockets and aren't retained in the game or passed on to society. Football is basically a tax on the common man for the benefit of the already wealthy. Something has to change.
Overnighter sorted. This fixture will benefit the aberdeen economy by as much as a can spend on beer, food and miscellaneous, and cost the aberdeen economy as much as the added
Policing and prosecution.
Coyr!
Funny, we were told not having rangers games would put tv companies off. Turns out HAVING The rangers games has put em off.
BT are getting right into fitba now, so most likely they'll be a good bet going forward.
Tbf who ever rated kelly 18 months or so ago? 200k is fairly pish and he's no jack grimmer, but he's a player who's not going to improve, so no need to complain. If he's a genuinelygood player, our not being able to pay 200k is a bigger issue
they really aren't. It does make the rest of the season a bit pointless for division 3, but the only ones who would potentially be screwed are the bottom half of div 2. Or the top half of div 2 if you consider not being in the same league as der hun next year as a disadvantage.
Motherwell sign Huddersfield Town forward Kallum Higginbotham on loan until the end of the season. The 23-year old told the club's website: "Things haven't quite worked out as well as I would have liked at Huddersfield but with 18 months left on my deal there, this is a great opportunity to show what I can do at a great club in a strong, competitive league."
Are you listening Master Fraser?
One recurring theme this season is that AFC don't seem to feel they're getting enough support at Pittodrie. We bang on about what the club/league bodies need to change, but fans also need to look at themselves and ask if they're doing enough to encourage folk to turn up.
It's a slightly better version of what we already have imo, nothing radically different. We have to be rid of this farcical split asap though. Different teams having different number of home games and weaker/stronger opposition depending on how the fixtures are drawn is pathetic.
We need a pyramid structure, but one governing body is good. Hopefully this will mark the end of the voting structure that allows two teams to dictate to the rest.
That cove are going ahead without us, and we are definitely not moving to Loirston. Could be wrong but I was under the impression it wasn't the stadium we couldn't get planning for so much as the facilities around it needed for an spl club.
Hopefully Cove will let us train on their nice new pitch.
BBC:
"Both Scottish league bodies have agreed in principle to a restructuring plan that would see the organisations merge in a 12-12-18 structure.
Both sets of clubs have still to vote on the proposals but a major breakthrough was made on Tuesday during a meeting of the main decision-makers in the Scottish Premier League, Scottish Football League and the Scottish Football Association."
I'd like to think this indicates a desire to bring someone in this window, and it's a case of letting any fringe player there's interest in go and free up a spot. Doubt anyone would want Fallon on loan.
