  1. 41 of the dead had a chance of survival if the emergency services had responded anything like professionally. was amazed at how good a job the panel's done. goes to show how important it is for independent people, rather than internal inquiries, to examine the facts around such massive cases.
  2. Avril's record must be as bad as bertie by now surely? Can't remember the number of times I've thought 'surely he has to be sacked for this'. Just seems to be completely untouchable and I genuinely have no idea why. Who do we miss most? Steven Fletcher. It's painfully fucking obvious we're a better team with Fletcher on the pitch and any old random pig fucker in the dug out than we are with Fletcher not on the pitch and this specific old random pig fucker in the dug out.
  3. Wiggins, Murray, Farrah, Ennis, Hoy Diddy competition anyway.
  4. The weed beer and live football in a pub making it ok.
  5. I looked away for 5 mins and suddenly it's 2-1 to ireland in injury time. Jakeys
  6. Accidentally found myself in amsterdam the night of holland v turkey. Wish I'd known in time to get a ticket ffs
  7. Andy Roxburgh standing down from uefa and looking for a manager gig. At a sprightly 69 we could have him in a few years as succesor to Paw Broon.
  8. Dundee got easton on a free. Good signing. Bastards.
  9. we get the team just relegated from the spl while everyone else gets teams who have either not been in the top flight for a bit, or never at all. not great draw but still got to be looking at a comfortable win.
  10. Fucksake
  11. Tbf there are a couple lassies who'd be a better option than a lot of men. Even if not at spl level yet, certainly at sevco level.
  12. Pie and Bovril ?@pieandbov #Aberdeen are the latest #SPL club to confirm there will be no further player movement to or from the club. Sad face.
  13. i have no doubt the scum would try to run riot. their fans have been getting done for various offences pretty much every away game so far this season, and as you can tell from the way referees are treating us this season, rangers fans clearly hold us more responsible for the no spl vote than anyone else. so long as the police are on top of things away from the stadium as well as at it, it would be ok. and if any violence did erupt it might actually remind the twats in aberdeen 'supporting' OF teams what they've bought into. Can't think of many people who'd want to suddenly start smashing up their own home and fighting with their friends, family and colleagues. But the ones I can think of do tend to be huns so...
  14. wouldn't have chosen rhodes to blackburn, but can see it working - if he's good enough. berba to fulham is a great move for both.
  15. i hope the players are less foppish when we play them next than some of you lot. bring the cunts on. i hope we play them and beat them every year. break their spirits. ruin their season. confine them to div 3 for ever (until they go bust again).
  16. the world is skint because muppets were smooth-talked into taking out humungous loans they couldn't pay back. aberdeen would be off it's chump to take out any unnecessary loan. as tam says, the repayments can only come from cut backs in council services, and in this scheme that would go on for many a year. and that is on top of the cuts that are happening and going to continue to happen even without the scheme happening. aberdeen have so far dodged a bullet.
  17. deadline fast approaching. surprised not to see any loan signings considering pawlett's gone. surely we'll add a bit? surely???
  18. oot. Madrid. Madrid. Madrid. 1-0 to the dandies
  19. quadruple the size of the dick donald - make it the single biggest stand in the history of football - and build a gazeebo away end like hamilton, then flats around the other sides. people will travel from all over the world to get pictures of the humungous dick, and we can charge people for the chance to see it. wouldn't really affect match day experience considering everyone's already in the dick donald
  20. thank fuck robertson's back as naysmith is out. other than consi i can't think of anyone who wouldn't shift goals at LB. Really don't like the idea of Anderson or Ozzie at RB though. Ozzie's hamstring last year, Naysmith's this year. Just asking for trouble having them there. always a risk we have to take with naysmith but unlike RB, we have a promising youngster there.
  21. i wasn't aware due diligence was something that could happen more than once. surely that's a contradiction in terms?! Interesting that they'd mention the private landowners. Must have had an offer that sounds viable or surely it'd be pointless to raise.
  22. there's really no debate - playing great football and not winning is both encouraging and a bit of a worry at the same time. we're not going to play well every week, but we actually have players that seem able to play together so plenty reason to think we can keep the form going. and btw. ozzie is as good as any centre mid we've had in a hell of a long time. he's absolutely vital.
  23. Vernon's problem is he's not a lone striker. Needs someone else in the box to move people about and overlap. It might come good with the wingers overlapping but still need another central player. If not a better 2ns striker than we have, then the attacking mid we never had since smith. Don't think Rae's got the legs for that. I want to see Paton up front for a few games before Jan though. Really think he could be a player but has been wasted on the left most times we've seen him.
  24. We seem much better than previously, but we've dropped 5 points already due to individual errors and poor finishing which is worrying.
