  1. Apparently Derek Johnstone in the Times says directors consulting their fans on the newco vote are letting the lunatics take over the asylum. A fairly disgraceful thing to say. Presumably he wouldn't want sevco 5088 fans to have any say in the decisions of their "club". Besides, does he really not understand that Rangers (deceased) were put out of business because of the decisions made by successive directors? Total looney
  2. Club statement: “Jonny Hayes is this afternoon at Pittodrie and subject to the completion of his medical and paperwork he will be unveiled as an Aberdeen player at a press conference this evening at 5.30pm.”
  3. scumbags formerly known as huns are now trying to get him sacked for mocking the memorial statue.
  4. didn't he kill his misses? grace kelly? we are all darren thingy.
  5. Ict, hertz, hibs, us. Who's the 5th who explicitly say no? I know there's a few who surely will, but who else already said?
  6. if the long-called for pyramid structure is to be brought about, then all the more reason for newco to be introduced further down the leagues. Being full-time isn't the issue. A new Gretna could emerge, with hefty financial backing and be full-time for all intents and purposes, but to introduce them at anything other than the bottom rung would be an open admission that success is bought rather than won - as is the case with Rangers. The additional point being that Rangers didn't even have the money to buy that success. They could have afforded to be a full-time club through honest means, yeah, but they didn't operate that way so frankly no punishment is harsh enough. They committed fraud and robbed HMRC of tens or hundreds of millions of pounds and frankly any other club or corporate entity wouldn't even have the option to simply restart all over again at all, let alone with only a token gesture of a demotion.
  7. Green saying that Rangers is still Rangers and the players should be mindful of this. But HMRC are just supposed to not notice presumably.
  8. what would make you believe a single word that comes out that guy's mouth?
  9. certainly couldn't bring myself to contribute money to a rigged 'sport'. That's a very small part of the problem though. Can't avoid OF news. Every day there would be another reminder of this. Going to be very difficult to get over and forget.
  10. gordon smith is on the front page of the sunday post saying the huns should volunteer for relegation. they'll probably come out of this smelling like roses. carve up.
  11. bit harsh, I was only posting the story up...
  12. No idea which of the billion threads the Motherwell vote was discussed, but the bit I wanted to point to was the part that mentioned providing 'estimates' as to the financial implications of a no vote, so as to 'educate' the members. That worried me, and I think I was right to be worried. Total scare-mongering by the board to try and manufacture a yes vote.
  13. So far they've blamed the mess they're in on Scottish football's governing bodies, previous owners (of the defunkt club), the other SPL clubs, and now their own players. The only people left for them to blame are their own fans!
  14. Alasdair Lamont ?@BBCAlLamont For those who were quite reasonably sleeping when the Rhys McCabe story broke http://bit.ly/Mdmk44 Had it confirmed Sone Aluko is the other player to object to transferring to Rangers newco. Update here soon http://bbc.in/Mdmk44 And sally's reaction:
  15. "Regan’s bid to deliver a broad consensus over the way forward also involved discussions over the appellate tribunal’s transfer embargo on Rangers."
  16. wiggy needs to wake up and smell the coffee. he can't possibly go against the wishes of the fans and shareholders or he'll be chased out of town! All his fannying around is doing is pissing people off for no reason whatsoever.
  17. closer by midday than they were at 9am.
  18. Duff & Phelps ordered by Lord Hodge at the Court of Session in Edinburgh to prove there is no conflict of interest over role.
  19. OH MY FUCKING CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!! FUCK OFF. FUCK OFF. FUCK OFF. FUCK OFF
  20. I was too busy having a happy cry wank to notice mate! Can't imagine Milne would stick his neck out if there weren't a safe 5 no votes. I just can't see how there's any provision for that. No new team can be allowed anywhere other than div 3 surely. And even then they should have to bid for the place against any other contendors. Anything else is an unforgivable carve up.
  21. @bbcjimspence: Aberdeen will vote NO to Newco in the SPL. They Join Hearts and Dundee Utd who said yesterday they would vote no.
  22. Still the possibility of a la liga club closer to his family too.
  23. Martin Williams from the Herald also saying this.
  24. Which would presumably be Duncan Frazer and/or whoever is responsible for press communications. We've all long bemoaned the EE's succulent lamb attitude as well as their baseless gibberish. This story shows exactly why companies etc and the media writing about them need the highest professional standards, otherwise everyone ends up looking the cunt.
