Aside from budget, how are they meant to build a squad if they don't know what competition they're building it for, and how can they sign a player when they can't tell them what division they're being signed to play in. Disgraceful, and shows that they have worked on the assumption all along that newco will be in SPL.

if they vote yes to newco i'd plan on going to no more games under the club's current ownership. if they vote no but newco get in anyway then pittodrie only. if they vote no and newco don't get in then business as usual, with the obvious exception of there being no hunnery. i'm not convinced there will be a vote on a newco until a year from now at this rate anyway though

Been my thoughts for a while now too, mainly because it gives a sort of rogue's compromise. They could effectively get away with the lightest punishment we've been speculating about, but next year rather than this. Much as I'd like to think the no to newco protest would be as loud, I doubt there'd be the same vocal outrage a year from now when it's not so fresh in people's minds. Either way, it just seems unrealistic even for the SPL that the newco could be ushered in in time for the season to kick off.
