  1. surprised to see the ny times quoted on here after their defamatory article about the fans they published following the hun game. they repeated a bitter wee dick's false claims that we were singing about the ibrox disaster. cunts.
  2. The speculation fromm bbc sources last night was that the police consciously stood back and let the violence rage on. Apparently the senior officers who would be present at these games were mysteriously absent. Reasoning is that the al-Ahly 'ultras' are responsible for much of the non-football civil disobedience organisation. Following the uprising a year ago where the police were murdering civilians that protested against mubarak (unlike the army who actually protected the civilians from the police quite often) this means that al-Ahly fans have been responsible for protest/violence against the police. This supposedly was to do largely with revenge. What they didn't explain was how port said civilians (assuming that's who was running riot) fit into this. Egypt is said to have problems with football violence generally, but it seemed a bit to well organised an attack on the visiting fans than just to be due to police standing back and letting things happen.
  3. bonus points for remembering myles anderson!
  4. btw did anyone see the sudanese boy's injury in the african cup of nations? only seen one replay but he collided with his keeper and his shin looked like it folded back on itself like a wet piece of cardboard. passed out from the pain. never seen a tournament where an injury like that looked more inevitable, only shock is that it wasn't from a tackle. every game's had an utter shocker!
  5. ok wages sorry. assumed you meant fee tlg. picture on the website is in daylight. Either they take pics before deals are done, so players can go home while the grown ups negotiate the deal, or the club kept us hanging on for confirmation until just over an hour before the deadline to tell us the transfer activity was over, rather than have us wonder if we'd consider SIGNING A FUCKING FULL BACK. Maybe I'm just cynical. either way i'm still relieved we haven't signed the "guinean roberto carlos" although wait..."the next carlos tevez" isn't really much more encouraging! still, welcome aboard! hopefully an adequate replacement for bebo and hopefully him and chalali can compliment crespo well.
  6. no money involved. he's on loan with an option to sign. as in, he's on loan.
  7. he tweeted it at 6.40. but aye stv's telly bosses couldn't give less of a fuck about aberdeen if they tried.
  8. Former Rangers chairman Alistair Johnston has told BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound that "there are more revelations to come" at the club. *rubbing hands together in glee smiley*
  9. I certainly hope you are.
  10. via chris harvey fae stv, uchechi has agreed a deal until summer 2014, but nigerian fa being slow to process it.
  11. Jelena Ristic. Eastern Europe is brilliant.
  12. bollocks.
  13. Hang on, he's still contracted? So we're paying a fee?
  14. sounded like no football was played at all, but a good three points. anyone know where hughes played when he came on? i've always heard him referred to as a defensive central mid until recently folk said he's left sided.
  15. fantastic news about ozzie!
  16. 999 at huns? whaaaaaaaaaa?
  17. Sounds like the new Jack Grimmer.
  18. deal done apparently
  19. This is very true. We, the fans, are basically just fucked. Starting to think our only hope is to club together for a Donstalk lottery syndicate to buy this Milne crook out and start repairing the damage he's done. Anyway, thanks for the 4 minute bounce on Saturday Arnie. Was fucking class!
  20. if people think arnie will win us a cup then i hope you're right, but it seems like a pipe dream to me. heart ruling head. it's a choice between a wee transfer fee or no transfer fee. but it's academic. no one will offer money, so i only hope he doesn't accept a pre-con offer before may, otherwise he'll be more interested in staying injury free than putting himself in the shop window.
  21. well aye me for one. Not in a bitter way, and not benching him. that's twattish. if we said thanks and sold him this week and used the wages on a good loan replacement to the end of the season I can't see how that's bad business. Manc, i understand what you said earlier about the cup run. I'm tempted to agree, but if we don't win a trophy then it'll look like a pointless gamble. I'm not saying anyone's going to offer money now rather than wait til summer, but if they do i'd take it. I just disagree with the point about the squad being deflated if we lose him now. The squad is going to be massively deflated either way. The board have essentially admitted to everyone in the world that if you are a good footballer who can make any kind of a living at the game, then you need to stay away from aberdeen, or get out as fast as you can. Him being there makes anything good that happens on the pitch tinged with the realisation that it may only be because of him. That certainly won't convince anyone else on the books to stay beyond the summer/end of contract. A loan player would be someone I'd view as more replaceable, and the less players under contract at the club at any time who make it known they want to leave the better. long drawn out break ups are worse than just cutting and running. If we don't sell up and move on asap, for the rest of the season we'll be talking about this utterly depressing hoseshit!!!
  22. we HAVE to sell him this week ffs. We're not qualifying for europe with him and not getting relegated without him. Need to cash in.
  23. he hates hivs and jambos? sounds afc through and through.
