YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE
-
thanks but i don't need a fucking roadshow to demonstrate how to stand up.
-
jesus fuck. you were bleating about being unemployed for a year, now you're not being paid enough?? who the fuck do you think you are? sone aluko?
-
only game i've seen is gabon v niger. At least 4 tackles were so bad that I was surprised the player on the receiving end will ever play again. 2 yellow cards in total I think it was.

For some reason this didn't even make BBC sportsday. Would've thought while Mandaric and Redknapp are in court someone would have thought the disgraceful state of Portsmouth a relevant story. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16706372.stm

What I don't understand is how we can have the budget to think about bringing in other people like this Nigerian striker, but we can't choose instead to scrap one target (even a potential deal from now until summer), and use whatever money is allocated for that to increase the offer we're making to Kari. Maybe it's that players are given promises of having no one at the club earning more than them, however I can't think of anyone we have who I wouldn't be willing to punt if they really couldn't accept that Kari is doing a better job for us than they are. Possibly Ozzie and possibly Vernon, however Ozzie is a big injury risk and Vernon does nothing without a good midfielder to supply him. Lose Kari and Vernon becomes more isolated. If Fyvie or Jack are in that bracket then maybe I'd change my mind about breaking the high-earner limit, but surely they can't yet be at their age??

think the germans were still in the rock when i left, and the violence had already finished by the time i reached ibrox so i wouldn't be surprised if they weren't even involved.
-
it seems inevitible. could do worse i suppose.
-
deary me. surely a retrospective ban?
-
he was hopeless. agreed on all other points though.
-
They were fine and I was practising my German. Nice guys. Psychotic but nice.
-
Utterly disgraceful that this cunt is listed in our history as a club captain. Unquestionably the worst 1st team player I have ever seen.
-
Dynamo Berlin fans. Not sure what the connection is but according to wiki Hamburg knocked them out of the European Cup in 82/83 so maybe it's because of the super cup win. Also, they beat us on pens in the 1st round of the EC in 84/85 yaasss! edit - they play in the 5th tier of the German league. Must be a step up from spl anyway!

De Ja Vue but Happy with a Point ?
maverick sheep replied to Elgin Ali G's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Nah but he put in a good shift. Would have liked it if he'd been shifted into the middle because he was the only one willing to run at folk. Him and Momo up front would've turned them inside out. -

Pa Broon's first year report card

I'll tell you on Sunday -
Clyde could've been a top class side then. But they weren't. I'd suggest Clyde are not the team AFC should model ourselves on.

THE OFFICIAL: "LET'S ALL LAUGH AT HEARTS"
maverick sheep replied to glasgow sheep's topic in Football Chat
I'll never forget the jambo in my uni classes. Genuinely couldn't understand my viewpoints on all this pish that has been obvious to anyone with eyes for years. Last I heard he was trying to make it as afootball writer. Sad thing is it's far from being the last club whose fans will choose to believe the kjb promises, then bleat about how they're victims when their club dies. Fuck em all. At least our chairman is a parasite. Milne needs us to exist for him to feed. unless we let this new stadium happen that is. In that case he'll move on to a new host and leave us to die. But yeah, the schaadenfraude is cool for now. -
Might be worth people callin round about colours elsewhere for plan b as the rock's gonna be a nightmare for service pretty quick. Also, if any of those cunts who trashed the bar in scumdee are coming they best be on good behaviour.

Anderson signs back on at club....
maverick sheep replied to Graeme_S's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
To be fair I may be letting 2011 cloud my judgement on that one. He can't be on much of a wage and so long as he's not RB he seems ok. Mawene on the other hand is gash. What's the use of a "fit" player who's decision making is hopeless and is generally a bombscare. Same age as Anderson and surely not earning far, if any, less than Anderson. And has no one noticed that 73 year old David Weir has today, according to BBC, "left rangers to continue his career in England." Are people seriously suggesting that bell end in his 40s was capable, but Anderson won't ever be again?? If people won't at least give Anderson the benefit of the doubt, then who exactly would you? He'll not be as good as he was for such prolonged periods as he was, but even with no knees at all I can't see how he could possibly make us weaker than we have been since he left. Mawene out, Ando with Considine, McArdle and 2x loan/youth CBs. That still means all of arnie's (and I fear sadly ozzie's too) wages are there for FBs. Don't need to spend on midfielders as a priority, unless Folly's dead and Grimmer's gone. Although a left winger would be nice. Fallon and Mackie (and probably Paton too?) out for a stiker to go with Crespo, chalalalalalali... Job's a goodun. Sigma are getting fucking done in 2013 -
even if we are i'd expect the board to be too busy lubing up to remember to ask

Anderson signs back on at club....
maverick sheep replied to Graeme_S's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
why is this an issue? punt mawene and possibly mcardle, replace with anderson and a full back or two. I think this is a fantastic move. Remember, hartley was a big influence on the team, the problem was him being shit on the pitch. even if ando hardly plays, the club has it's leader back. be happy you miserable cunts! -
he was excellent in the eng/scot/wales/N.I. schoolboy tournie a couple years back. Have no idea why he hasn't been given a chance with us. Substantial compo and a huge percentage of future transfer fees is a must.

His name is nacho novo, his name is nacho novo, his name is nacho novo...

RedMatchday Interview: Kari Arnason
maverick sheep replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
We're just pimping this guy out now without a hope of getting a cut of his ill-gotten gains. A few good performances and goal of the season, but he's a small part of the (so far VERY brief) improvement in form. I personally think having a keeper who speaks the same language as the defence is the biggest reason for the improvement, Fyvie's gaining fitness and Vernon having some help up front are also bigger factors imo. I'm not saying I don't want him in the team, I just would worry that building him up to be some sort of demi-god will end up making his seemingly inevitable departure more disruptive than it would otherwise be. edit- BUT i certainly agree with anyone who says the situation is symptomatic of the lack of basic ambition in the AFC board. Good player, fan favourite, contract expiring...aye lets twiddle our fucking thumbs and wait for the next loan/short-term signing next year. Awesome.
