  1. think it was swansea having a look at him. still a long way to go before the transfer window SLAMS SHUT (copyright skysports). kameni the espanyol keeper is also offski.
  2. exactly why i never go near the lesser aberdeen message boards. too much lunatic gibberish to wade through. do think a creative attacker is vital. no idea who it would be but as things are i don't see where our goals are going to come from. maybe paton will have a breakthrough year though.
  3. scotzine.co.uk (or .com canny remember) might still be looking for someone to contribute aberdeen articles (unpaid). They seem to be getting a bit of profile in scottish sports journalism. the guy that runs it is a massive tim though.
  4. can't pick a winner! would be delighted to see bjorn win it though.
  5. Aye that's about what I expected after Brown's comments. Regardless of what it says about our club, an Icelandic international center half would walk into our team. These trials and pre-season games are open to being used by players for keeping up fitness and advertising themselves to bigger paying sides elsewhere.

  8. He's an odeous individual who epitomises a caricacture of the press. There's a misconception that people like him are the rule rather than the exception. They're not. He's was widely discredited within the industry long before the present revelations. This is like a pressure cooker that will destroy Murdoch's empire if it blows, but people are going to get sick of this story before that happens and anyone significant gets punished. All that's happening so far is he is set to save a lot of money. I don't like the way 24 hour news makes this a 24 hour story at the expense of everything else though (like Cameron preparing to sell off EVERY public service in the UK).
  9. Associating them with rangers fans is probably a hate crime against vaginas
  10. All well and good but without a new striker with a bit of movement, Vernon will be limited in the space/chances he gets. Unless this is Mackie's breakthrough season
  11. Apparently the front page tomorrow reads "Thank you & goodbye." An apology would be nice...
  12. sometimes even the mail publish readable articles. Max Hastings is one of the good guys though. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-2012770/MAX-HASTINGS-News-World-shutting-Without-free-Press-poorer.html?ito=feeds-newsxml
  13. Have just been told that is apparently not true. Business closing doesn't equate to liquidation. So Murdoch cannot legally shred documents. I'm sure that'll stop him... Best quote about this all came from Paddy O'flynn of the Express, "James Murdoch - the only surgeon who cuts out all the healthy flesh to save the cancer." http://www.hasrebekahbrooksbeensackedyet.com/
  14. Aye, for a team still looking to bring in a couple more players and convince them to take a shit wage it is spectacularly retarded. I'll echo what Scotfree says an all. Anyone singing bobby sands songs or anything relevantly similar has no place in the dons support.

  17. Tom Watson MP is meeting Aamer Anwar tomorrow to discuss the new evidence that Coulson lied under oath at the Shagger Sheridan perjury trial. Coulson claimed not to be aware of payments being made to police. Watson said he believes the evidence may make shagger's conviction unsound.
  18. it was either going to be him or...well, him.
  19. I don't imagine there will be any proper political fallout. Basically, there is criminality from some journalists, editors, police and politicians. Who can investigate that and reach a balanced conclusion that benefits the public when all sectors are potentially corrupted or in collusion at various points? The only people who can expose these things are responsible, investigative journos. But the finances are currently squeezing such people out of the industry completely. ~The petition for a public inquiry: http://hackinginquiry.org/
  20. I don't get to see channel 4 news as much as i used to, but i caught it tonight. proper journalism! the worst thing that could happen is if news/journalists get tarnished with the same brush as murdoch's editor cunts. I suspect that's exactly what's going to happen though, because those who oppose murdoch and the practices of his companies have known exactly what he's about ever since the sun fabricated stories of liverpool fans pickpocketing the dead and dying at hillsborough. people will be angry about the dowler hacking for a wee while, then forget. In the meantime, murdoch will have bought up more of the industry and sooner rather than later, there will be no honesty or integrity left. just cunts writing what they're told to because it sells papers. the reason it will be allowed to happen is because most people think that's what all journalists already are. when things like this happen, the public allow it to turn into a 'tabloids/hacks are scum' story, rather than 'rich megalomaniacal cunts controlling press and politicians are scum'
  21. the only thing that concerns me is that when st mirren inevitably get relegated this summer, we'll be linked with the twat AGAIN.
