  1. I agree with this, but also with the point that I'm not as excited as I would have been 5 years ago. It's his attitude I'd worry about most but I'd love to have someone with even half his passing ability.
  2. Fuckin Weegies!
  3. Off the top of my head he conceded 3 against Falkirk and 1 against St J. The game against St Johnstone in particular he didn't have a clue how to deal with crosses. The goal was unlucky but he could've conceded a few earlier. Can't remember any other games he played. What did anyone see that indicated he was any good?? Admittedly he must be better than than a st mirren reserve though fucksake.
  4. Each to their own but I thought Nelson was gash. Worse than Langfield on a bad day. But as to the original post, Nelson may have been offered a contract a month or so back, but Bain was allowed to leave only in the last couple days. That strikes me as a blindingly obvious indication that Mcghee is looking for another keeper on his infamous list of 1 and a half billion transfer targets. Seemed a bit like the tone of this thread started off as a weak excuse to have a go at dingus over yet another thing.
  5. But Nelson was one who was leaving already and of the number he said we needed there's still 6+ unaccounted for. I don't see that anything has changed. Depending on what kind of ability and deal is available, I'd rather we got a back up keeper on loan. No point spending the wages on a player as poor as Nelson.
  6. Vassell's wages would be huge. Ability and commitment minute. Would be a deal to make Noel Whelan look like great business. He'd never come anyway thank fuck. The other three would be good, if unlikely.
  7. Best thread in months, if not years, if not ever.
  8. Why do you presume that? Didn't bother keeping Nelson, approved the loan for Bain.
  9. Same was true last season however that is a combination the spl cannot produce.
  10. Good start to the season or else we're in the brown stuff.
  11. All that is is cover though. Not a single defender I'm happy with being 1st choice. Foster had a decent season but there's every chance he'll soon be back to the useless divvy he was the years before last. McArdle no one knows anything about so benefit of the doubt for him, but the others have all proved they're not good enough. Like you say though, if the money gets used to strengthen our midfield/attack then we could get away with the weak back line...but that 'if' is the size of Kelly Brook's tits.
  12. If a club could be a cunt, ours would be a blue waffle.
  13. It surely hasn't taken this long after Reda Johnson to discover this...?
  14. Firstly, most people don't work in industries that require more physical exertion than sitting on there fat arses day after day so the recuperation required isn't as much. Even though I do think the time people are required to work should be much much less anyway. As for the communication - what can they do other than tell us who they're trying to sign? Which is an increasing source of irritation when we inevitably don't sign the people we're linked with. Other than that, what could they have to communicate? "Dorris the canteen lady has today confirmed that in a radical move, macaroni pies have been introduced to the dinner menu on Tuesdays and Thursdays" HOLY SHIT, GET ME A FUCKIN SEASON TICKET NOW!!! Actually, fuck that. Now I fancy a macaroni pie!
  15. Somebody really will need to pit stop to all these puns!
  16. He'll get found out big time at sheff utd. The Maritimo one would be interesting though. He's the type of player who could do well in Portugal.
  17. That's a car crash waiting to happen.
  18. I'm assuming this includes the NI boy. I went for 4. 1 more permanent (free transfer) and 2 more loans.
  19. AFC themselves should at least have mentioned this if it was anything significant. Over a week later though and even the trust themselves haven't published it.
  20. So the answers are known but not yet published and only going to be available to view on their site if you join the AFC trust. Heroic act of communication between fans and club.
  21. But the players are on holiday so NOTHING is going on. Just because lots of football fans, like that Darren, need to grow up and get a life doesn't mean the club should molly coddle them, or players shouldn't be free to post opinions on tv programs on social networking sites.
  22. Now you mention it, I can't recall a single incident of violent behaviour or allegation of sexual assault involving Aluko. Calls himself a footballer?!
  23. Aye. This keyboard hardman stuff does my nut in! Even worse when it could actually be disruptive to the team. stop thinking your spectator's opinion has any more claim on truth than the professionals' involved. Like Sone says, keep the amateur analysis to the pub and websites like this. Sometimes at games when I listen to the OTT personal abuse I wish I could tell certain players that it's only a minority of people with big mouths and no respect, and they don't represent the wider support. Posts like that are a step beyond that match time venting - this is calculated and less likely to be water off a ducks back. The difference between Mulgrew and sone is that charlie was actually disrespectful of the fans, so directly telling him to gtf as his contract runs out isn't going to have the same effect as this stupid shit could. We need sone to perform next season.
  24. So did/does Mackie. Saying that though, Windass flourished later in his career. Once he went to Bradford and Oxford his goal scoring was excellent. I'd have had him back in a second.
  25. Aaaare you mizer in disguise? Aaaare you miiizer in disguise?
