  1. Aren't work permits only not applicable to Economic Area countries rather than simply EU?
  2. I'm going to guess Mr Baggins is referring to Bulgaria.
  3. Just wait till the huns come to Pittodrie... I've been handing out notebooks to 3 year old wheelchair users, in anticipation.
  4. I'm so apoplectic with rage I'm going to send him a picture of his cat with a plaster on it's knee.
  5. Just out of interest who were the immediately previous players to have made the same switch. Stephen Wright and Jim Bett?
  6. I see the British Broadcasting Corporation have given up their live text coverage of deadline day now the English transfer window has closed.
  7. If this story is correct, it stinks of personal differences rather than for the good of the club. We know Foster isn't shy of a confrontation with the manager, there were suggestions last season that Foster didn't like McGhee, he hasn't played since our poor pre-season...
  8. 12pm today, has passed already and as far as I am aware has never been at night. It's a minor mistake but I'm bored on waiting for interesting transfer news.
  9. Spot the mistake... http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20100831/transfer-window-_2212158_2140817
  10. It's a good job we got McGhee in otherwise we would still be under-performing in the league, not winning cups, spunking money away on signing English lower league crocks, not giving our youth system a chance and singling out young players for public criticism. :
  11. Things must be really bad financially, when our players can't afford more than one pair of boots to help prevent themselves getting potentially career ending injuries. Still, it's nice to see Fyvie saving up for his Richard Steadman surgery and all the donkey placenta's he'll need by doing an advert for the start of the new season.
  12. I also agree a £10 million pound player if ever I've seen one.
  13. mmmm... as much as I'd like to agree with you, we are talking about AFC here.
  14. On Dee Street, I'm going to guess it is what what was The Ministry of Sin.
  15. On my holidays I read Robert Harris' Lustrum, Stuart MacBride's Blind Eye (both already covered) and Guillermo Del Torro and Chuck Hogan's The Strain. The Strain, I believe, is the first in a Trilogy and is a take on Vampire mythology. It was a very entertaining read, fast paced from about a third of the way in. The only slight annoyance I had was I felt it was written very much as a film, which I presume is Del Torro's influence and the intention is to make it into a film trilogy anyway. I'd definitely recommend it, I've just got to wait for the second one now.
  16. Doesn't he have a one in three record for every other club he's played for? Which only goes to show that playing for Dutd and Hearts truly is a step down in terms of level of ability required.
  17. Sounds like Richards had a good game, could have had him on a free after he left Cheltenham at the end of the season, 15 goals in a side nearly relegated starting most of his games from the wing is a good record. That said he is an ungrateful cunt and alleged disruptive influence. Any confirmed, confirmation on Hartley now?
  18. Would rather have had Kay or Gillespie if we're signing strikers from Col U, but they have decent scoring records so would cost money. I know the name but can't place why maybe Cheltenham were offered him at some point?? I think Col U loaning him out and now releasing him would suggest he's a reasonable L2 striker but can't cut it at L1. Folly, at one point, was quite highly rated so hopefully he can add a bit of bite to the midfield. TBH I'd rather have a 25 year old Folly than a 33 year old Hendire.
  19. I would have thought his prolific few seasons at PNE alongside that other Man U reject David Healy would be Macken's main claim to fame. It would have been what got him his move to City, with Keegan signing the higher scoring Macken rather than the far more talented Healy, then working out that Macken needed Healy to put the chances on a plate for him.
  20. I heard we we're also going to bring in Keigan Parker, then Deathmatch to win Jade Goody, or what's left of her.
  21. It's Alright, Pittodrie will be like a House of Love and we'll be asking the trialists to Stay another Day.
  22. Trial for what? Is McGhee willing to sit next to him on a bus? Will he change his name to Archie, for donindundonalds benefit, if he signs? http://www.goal.com/en/news/8/main/2009/11/17/1618955/from-manchester-united-to-ferencvaros-the-adnan-ahmed-story Sounds like he feels as if he has been unlucky, strange that Ferencvaros are letting him go for nothing if he has a year to run on his contract though.
  23. http://www.afc.co.uk/javaImages/23/ba/0,,10284~8895011,00.jpg[/img] Fuck sake I though I'd get to sign this in the broom cupboard.
  24. What's wrong with what he might have said? If he has said anything it's not as if it's incorrect because we won't win anything, and I very much doubt he phoned up the E&E and said; "Hi it's Steve Tosh here, former Aberdeen player. I'd just like to go on record as saying the Aberdeen will never win anything with kids. OK, Bye!"
  25. Rotherham would be down the bottom half of L2 on average attendances (around 4000, I think and probably even less this last season with playing at the Don Valley). So T/O would be pretty low, and there certainly seems to be a touch of realism creeping into the division with clubs wary of HMRC. Still there are Chairmen about willing to gamble on jumping a few divisions before taking a hit with administration and points deductions.
