  1. It would depend if he came to top up his retirement fund or to graft and thus help bring on the younger guys.
  2. Everyone knows these rumours are shite, but just to blow it out of the water Sarf'end are facing another winding up order and are currently under a transfer embargo.
  3. Is Josh Magennis an acceptable name for an Aberdeen player? Perhaps we should be trying to convince him to change his name to Jimmy Maitland .
  4. Has youtube ever been more apt??
  5. Dave Jones might have rated him http://www.cardiff.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=199836 and Neil Ardley obviously does However he's not exactly highly rated by the Grimsby fans here http://www.thefishy.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?m-1277633900/ who seem to offer a complete opposite view. I suppose I'm happy enough with this signing at least it's a step in the right direction. A big striker, no matter if they're shit, will at least drag a player with them. If he is any good then we might get something for him, if he's pish it's a couple of hundred a week I'd assume. At a guess a Cardiff fan's view here http://mirkobolesan.wordpress.com/2010/05/30/josh-magennis/
  6. Pity it wasn't Josh Payne that we got on trial, released from West Ham. Although if Okus is as good as he was/is I'd be happy enough.
  7. How long is his contract? As far as I can tell the only players who go from warming the bench at the OF to the Championship are the ones playing well for their SPL club before making the initial move. Two years, or whatever, and Mulgrew will be at Ross County or Dunfermline.
  8. I ken horrific doesn't come close to describing the pish that band come out with.
  9. Fuck kicking his granny, I heard Rumplestiltskin stole Maddie McCann in an attempt to win a contract at Pittodrie. Unfortunately McGhee decided that he was too small and he's now on Celtic's books.
  10. Certainly not fair on Duff. The way he is being treated will surely be noticed by other players those actually in the squad and also prospective signings. Whether or not it bothers Duff himself is irrelevant it's hardly projecting a professional image for the club. In a day and age where lack of commitment to a club is bemoaned by the supporters it is somewhat disheartening to see a player showing commitment being dealt with in this way. It surely can only serve to further damage an obviously fragile dressing room. However the really depressing thing, for me personally, is the absolute lack of signings or even hint of. At Cheltenham we've gone from having one player signed on for next season to fifteen since the end of last season, with potentially two more before the end of this week. Now I'm not saying any of these players could or should have been interesting us (Aberdeen) but it does show that there are players about looking to get signed up and are not holding out for massive wages.
  11. My comment was more to do with the Kassam having three sides.
  12. Seeing your thread made me think, what century are we in?
  13. Does this mean that Nelson won't be coming back now? Would seem pretty pointless and a bit of a waste of money if he does.
  14. Ogbonna is an interesting one, wonder where this interest has come from. It's a level higher than the league that Charlie Austin came from (he's done well at Swindon last season) but he is no where near as prolific as Austin was.
  15. Why not plenty of other cunts seem to tweet their whole day away and a load of other cunts seem to have all day to lap it up. We could have @Dorris the tea lady, @Clive the greenkeeper, @Sally the seagull, @Stewart the grippy cunt, @Angela the door knocker, @Willie the failed chipper owner and @Mark the shit manager.
  16. I'm assuming you don't work in the UK.
  17. Aren't Man U players banned from facebook et al?
  18. I would have hoped it would be the board that foot the bill for this out of their own pockets given it is their dilly dallying over the last 15 years that means we are, at a minimum, another 3 years away from a new stadium.
  19. Someone called Sean McDonald has hacked Darren Bailey's Facebook It appears that, when you click on the link, that someone has shrunk Sone which may account for his shite performances. Then again it also appears that he may actually be floating in mid air so...
  20. Ahh, good, a thread with pun jokes in it.
  21. If we did sign him there's always the possibility he might eat Mark McGhee, which could save us some money.
  22. Yes, I'd rather have shitey players in place from when the squad gets back than get even shitey'er players a couple of days before the start of the season. Are you suggesting the quality of players available will improve as the transfer window progresses towards its conclusion? A Striker to get excited about now would surely boost season ticket sales which in turn can only have a positive effect on the player budget.
  23. That's all very well but the better players will be offered better contracts by clubs in a better financial and footballing position than us. Clubs like ours will be left with what no-one else wants, which is OK as long as we can get them signed up and working with the rest of the squad earlier in the pre-season in order for the team to gel and get to know one another. If not we will have our usual slow start and heads will drop immediately due to last seasons abysmal form.
  24. Right lads the fat orange buffoon has gone, we're going to play fast, slick, passing, football which will win us the Scottish cup and finish third in the league. IT'S GONNA BE THAT EASY!!
