Is this myth still being peddled? Jerel Ifil moves himself and his family 700 miles north for less than 3 grand a week, which in all likelyhood is less than what he was on at Swindle? On top of that you have Grassi and Nelson (who has to be on at least a grand a week more than Bertie). Maybe £3000 for the last two!

Grassi says sorry / EE reports offer of new contract

Mr Magoo will be responsible for signing his own replacement? In Magoo we trust! -
McGhee needs to win twice as many games in the next 34 as he has in his first 34 to be considered as good as a drunk gambling addict, or get three wins and three draws in his next nine games to equal the record of a manger some fans suspect of trying to deliberately destroy Aberdeen and the rest at least concede did more to harm the club than anyone before or since. Given the evidence, if McGhee is given SIGNIFICANT funds, it will rank up with the money given to the previously mentioned as one of the worst boardroom decisions in football history by a board not exactly blessed with having made a good choice, ever. Still at least he's attended every game of his tenure and didn't swap Lee Miller and £700k for Sandaza

Rick Mayall must have fallen on hard times of late, nannying for the Irvine-Fortescues.

Wandering around asking people who and where he is?

This guyhttp://www.whufc.com/articles/josh-payne-west-ham_2228487_45086 has allegedly not been offered a new contract at West Ham next season. http://www.bdrecorder.co.uk/content/hammers/story.aspx?brand=RECOnline&category=Hammers&tBrand=RecOnline&tCategory=hammersnew&itemid=WeED24%20Mar%202010%2017%3A17%3A25%3A953 We had him on loan last season (in league 1) at Cheltenham, he was a real stand-out. I'm sure he's Championship bound but I would like to think we are aware of him and he was part of the 100 players list. I feel that strongly that I might even email this to williethefailedchipperman@pittodrie.com

Are you maybe thinking of John, his brother, who's at Macc.

Well that "Wayne Rooney Attributes Check-list" is paying dividends already First name Wayne? Yes/No Second Name Rooney? Yes/No Can kick a football? Yes/No Two out of threes nae bad lets sign this boy!

Anybody else think the review of the penalty incident in the Man U Liverpool game, on MOTD2, was totally out of order? The impartial BBC basically called Howard Webb a cheat. "I don't think this was a penalty... Here's a stonewall-er from a Liverpool game earlier in the season that he didn't give... Here's another Man U penalty from earlier in the season, that may have been slightly contentious, that he did give."

I don't know exactly what the crisis is - there's no crisis here.

Ahhh! but that was Jimmy's drossy cheerleaders. Now Mark has had 10 months to assess them and work out which are fat or flat chested or just plain ugly and which of the remaining ones are just not willing to learn his new dance routines, I feel sure that if the board back him, we can expect to see an altogether higher class of cheerleader with much more entertaining dance routines sometime in the next 12 to 15 years. In the meantime we may have to get some really fucking pig ugly aids ridden prossies in, in order to progress, but it will be evident for all to see that we are progressing and I for one will support them. If in 2025 we still have pasty faced, overweight, trolls with no tits, I think maybe Mark may have possibly not quite achieved his barely attainable target. In the mean time, we have to remember that this period of time is transitional and Mark has to be given a chance to clear out the deadwood and instil his vision for the long term future of our cheer-leading squad.

No matter what his opinion, he's not going to use the clubs official media outlet to commit career suicide sticking the knife in his current manager.

P&J: Dons’ worst since 2004 but McGhee has no fears for job

What, charity? Assume I'm still banned too haven't tried to log on and only really had a look over to see if the masses were still in denial about McGhee's failings. -

The "homosexual sounding" George Burley being approached to take over as manager? Don't tell me the mere suggestion of his appointment did nothing to tickle your itchy reply finger? -

Not sure where you get I started posting a response from? LOVE the fact that you have ignored the original bait, but bit to mine with the obvious  at the end. -

If true I wouldn't be disappointed. Got Ipswich promoted to the EPL with probably a quarter of the budget afforded to McGhee at Wolves. Was he not sitting top with Hearts when he got the dunt left by mutual consent after Mad Vlad took control, Hearts form then dipped and ended up second? If its not true, at least it's excellent Rocket bait. -

It's OK it's all the players (and Jimmy's) fault, and it won't be long before there is a new protest group set up; ATPMGJISAFOB - All The Players Must Go Jimmy Is Still A Fat Orange Buffoon. Still we're probably our closest to winning something since Ebbe, do you get an open top bus tour for winning the Division 1 title? -
The English second division is The Championship, I seriously doubt he's talking about L2 bar Notts County and maybe Bradford.
-
Pretty much sums up where I'm at.
-
I'm not arguing with that at all. I can quite accept that he has been piss poor, all I'm saying is that his form at one point was good enough to have had EPL scouts watching him. They obviously deemed him not good enough but that's not to say he would be completely incapable of doing a job for Aberdeen or regaining that form. I will make one point though, I don't think he has ever looked like a footballing centre half, and by the sounds of jmo's post he may be being encouraged to play that way?? If that's what McGhee wanted he signed the wrong player and I'm pretty sure that is why Wilson wasn't playing him.
-
Thing with Ifil, although I've not seen him this season and I'm basing my opinion on the few times I saw him in a Swindon shirt and what I heard from Swindon fans and in the local press, I don't think McGhee is getting the best out of him either. He was out of favour under Danny Wilson when he left but he always looked solid when I saw him and I'm certain there were EPL clubs looking at him around the time his brother was at Spurs.
-
I get your point and will add that Calderwoods net transfer spend was negative. I would also point out that after qualifying for Europe the first time he had Russel Anderson sold before the start of the campaign, and Chris Clarke and Michael Hart sold half way through. The later of which, if rumours are to be believed, because the board wouldn't sanction around £100 a week extra. The second time he qualified they sacked him.
-
OK, build a wall so it can't roll any further.
-
If McGhee is on a one year rolling contract allow it to expire. If it's a two year contract allow him to make the necessary changes and/or contract renewals in the summer without any excessively long term contracts being handed out. For whatever reasons this pairing has not worked out, you can blame the board and the players all you want but the bulk of the responsibility for the current shambles has to rest with McGhee. It's all very well clearing the "dross" and playing the youngsters, but if you alienate the "dross" it pisses of their mates the team play shite and the youngsters get set back a year or two in their development because their confidence is shot.
