The risk of injury is increased due to being relatively immobile for long periods of time, therefore the chance of injury is higher than normal. Jet-lag will affect your fitness because of tiredness, they'll either be too tired to train properly or train with an increased risk of injury. This is why South American and Australasian teams tend to play their friendlies in Europe nowadays and that's taking into account that a lot of these players will be used to flying around the world and their bodies will be more adapted to cope with the stresses it puts on the body.
-
So, it's a friendly, he flies for 12 - 16 hours therefore there is an increase in injury risk, his fitness also suffers because of jet-lag. He plays, suffers an injury that puts him out for 4 or more games. or He flies back (for 12 - 16 hours therefore there is an increase in injury risk, his fitness also suffers because of jet-lag) without having played, and gets injured in training or in the Hearts game and is out for 4 or more games. Would it then be worthwhile for McGhee to have tried to stop him?
-
This is the reason he's been called up. The OF and premier/championship clubs won't want their players flying for 12 - 16 hrs. With the risk of being accused of having an "agenda", or not wanting AFC players to receive international caps, McGhee would be making far better use of his time and energy trying to discourage Miller from going to this farce than he did with Aluko and his situation.

I'd usually call Paul Wright for World Cuppy at school, can't remember why exactly. Maybe because my dad and granda took me to games and the other lads didn't get, so more often than not called the obvious ones. I do remember my Dad making some comment about him going to England to get pished when I asked why he had left.

The thing with Kyle is several decent managers have rated him. While he may not have the touch of even a Mackie and he doesn't have the football brain of even a Lee Miller. He is a bruising battering ram of a player who seems to know where the net is and not many defenders would relish playing against him, especially when the high balls start getting pumped into the box. You can bet your life that, whatever McGhee says, he has had the players practising against this type of attack all week in training. Almost a pity Tommys still injured as he could have been quite an effective practise Kyle.

P&J: McGhee praise for versatile Foster

It is a bit of stick a to poke (really only) minjc with, on here. And at the moment theres not a lot else to talk about is there? There were always going to be comparisons and when you consider the nonsense that was written about Claderwood and McGhee's prehumous elevation to Mount Olympus before signing on, it is only fair that a little bit of humiliation should befall the most vociferous of the JMG campaign. Certainly I couldn't give two fucks what Calderwood could or would have done this season, he is no longer part of Aberdeens future. Certainly over on the HAT it's usually part of the collective who brings Calderwood up then within two or three posts is moaning about comparisons. Whereas over here it is usually "us" that bring him up. While it is childish it is amusing and does releive a bit of the tediom of the working day. -
I'd struggle to think of a game better than Bayern 2-2 , certainly in terms of atmosphere. Scotland U21's - West Germay U21's was pretty good and certainly deserving of best ever come back.

Why would Jimmy "FAT ORANGE HUN" Calderwood be considered for the Celtic job?? Jesus H Christ you really are terminally stupid. -

Stop twisting things you know perfectly well my feelings on Calderwood. Just a shame you can't be objective and have an individual opinion. Slagging off players like Mackie and Foster suited "your" opinions when you had your little teddy bears picnic outside the main stand, now McGhee is backing these same players those opinions of "yours" have surprisingly changed (well I say surprisingly what I mean is predictably). -

Any more players you want to exclude from "Jimmy's dross" because with your backtracking and excuses your beginning to type your way out of your arguments as to why JMG. -

Another member of "Jimmy's dross" being lauded by McGhee? What next? Deek Dung will be Aberdeen's answer to 20 goal a season striker search says Mark McGhee -
Nobody is/was delighted at the "slightest blip" from McGhee. Take an objective look at the situation. The excuses for bad results like Sigma and Dundee, are the same as those given for Calderwood's failings. The difference in the situations being the (hopefully justified) optimism shown by those "wanking off to McGhee posters". The reality is those, that AFCHAT propaganda label "wanking off to Jimmy posters", got a cold hard dose of reality a long time ago; and those pedalling the propaganda have still to get theirs. The only facts that matter are that AFC are -£10million and have been losing money on an almost yearly basis for the last 12 - 15 years. Until that changes we could have Alex Jose Arsene Ancelotti-Clough in charge and it wouldn't make the blindest bit of difference. We'd still be floating about between 3rd and 6th, depending on the players we've lost the previous season, hoping against hope for an elusive cup final win. You might say its defeatist it's not it's reality. As for McGhee's improvements I'm fairly indifferent to the matter, while it was probably time to freshen things up, unless we win the league or cup, I will never be convinced that it was worth the financial outlay.
-
Especially from a defence containing two of "Jimmy's dross", wouldn't you say? * or even three if you include Duff.

Andrew is actually Kris Boyd!!!

A turkey. I'm guessing the woman doesn't know which of them is the father of the unborn child so arranged for a "family photo". Unfortunately before it was taken Bobby Joe killed his love rival in a fit of jealous rage.
-
Thought he was a decent enough player. Jimmy liked him but couldn't afford to keep him, when his wage budget was cut. But decent guy??? Wife beating adulterous alcoholic??? Aye top bloke, might see if he's available for some childminding if he's only playing part time.

Is it a womens team?

EE: Aberdeen FC boss set to wield the axe
baggy89 replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I'm sure your fishing, but I suppose you should feel clever at least once in your life. So here goes... No one is blaming McGhee you fuckin tube. We're* not a bunch of reactionary dickheads with half a dozen post-it notes. Everyone here realises the limitations with which the Aberdeen Manager has to work with. It's just a pity it's taken the club shelling out the guts of 1 million quid for you to realise the same thing. (*I obvioulsy don't claim to speak for everyone, unlike you and the other 6 Cornhill day releasers). -
With you there bb.

Yes its a high pressure game but is the main gripe amongst the current crop, after Tuesday, that they are bottlers? If you keep these kids out of games because they are high pressure, what's the fucking point of continuing with them. To get this far they must be pretty cocky guys, what's the worst that can happen we loose? Whoopty fuckin' doo, it's not like we've never lost to Rangers at Ibrox before.
-
"Well, I might as well tell you now. You lot may not be internationals and have won fuck all under Jimmy Calderwood. But as far as I'm concerned, the first thing you can do for me is to chuck all your medals and all your caps and all your pots and all your pans into the biggest fucking dustbin you can find, because you've never won any of them fairly. You've done it all by bloody cheating. "

I'd prefer the goal keeping coach to be working with the goal keeper that is actually on the pitch playing, during the interval. Even he is just discussing what he should have for tea that night .
-
Nae sure if that's tongue in cheek, but nothing would surprise me less.

I still think the board smelt money, we had a manger who had taken us to Uefa last 32 (and drawn with Bayern at home), CIS Semi, decent league position, with a small and limited squad. There wasn't a managerless CCC club who wouldn't want that. The unfortunate thing is there wasn't.
