If it's good enough for the goose ... *edit forgot you were Bripod
-
I'd also like to state my claim for being responsible for Jimmy's ousting. This is the first season I have not attended a single AFC game for a good while. Of course like Tom above me it has nothing to do with living 500 miles away, working most Saturdays and saving for a wedding. It was a protest against Jimmy being given a new contract January 2008. : : : : : : : : : : :

Jesus fuck I thought this might unite the fans. Instead we've got MiniJC (you realise your going to have to change your name now?) on here telling us about him and his two mates "forty" and "nine" holding badly photocopied bits of paper ouside the man stand being the sole reason the board made an important business decision. Over on the hat we've got Bobbyblouse telling everyone his protest, if he'd been arsed to go, is the greatest thing to happen to AFC. His fanboys, who I doubt are old enough to even remember Paterson, wanking over it. I really, really don't want to see the scenario of Aberdeen failing miserably in the league next season but at this moment in time it would seem an ideal sceario. Bottom Six woo! hoo!, where's the bus!!!! Thank you Jimmy for making the past three or four preseasons exciting, wondering if we might make Europe or a cup final. What ever the half wits say, and whatever your shortcomings at least the threat was there. All I ever wondered under Aitken, Miller, Skohvdahl and Paterson was are we going to get relegated? For that I'm grateful. Roll on the unkown rollercoaster that will be next season.

Dons Managment Team Moves On - Official
baggy89 replied to TheGaffer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Is that confirmed then, JIG (Jimmy Is Gone)? Have to say wouldn't be dissapointed with Levein but doubt it'll be him. I'd like to see Steve Cotterill to sort out the boozing and big time charlies as well as get the maximum from the players at his disposal. Anyway I'm away to check the mass wank and self congratulation over on the hat . -
And Considine, Jimmy .
-
Agree with the above. However, if Jimmy is to go now, I just hope it's not too soon. By that I mean, from a financial point of view. I think there is a period of "New Firm" dominance coming. By "New Firm" I'm not necessarily referring to ourselves and D.Utd (as it was in the 80's) merely the club or clubs out-with the old firm best placed to benefit from a, what is at this stage perceived, decline in standards. With world football as it is, a money orientated game, surely it is only realistic to expect the most financially stable and viable clubs to benefit from this? Is shelling out £1/2 million on getting rid of a management team, in the current financial climate, with debts to be re-financed in a years time and funding for a new stadium to be organised, the right thing to do in order to keep the club on a sound financial footing? I understand the agitation , I feel it too, I have gone nearly half my life without seeing Aberdeen win anything compared to the first half where we won smoething virtualy every year. I'm nt scared. I haven't got the team I deserve, but I can't hep but feel now is the time for consolidation, not speculation in the vain hope of accumulation. all you need is a quick glance at next seasons League One table to see how quickly and harshly fans "realistc" expectations can be brought home to roost. So... If Jimmy is going, I hope for the clubs sake it is to another club who are payng AFC for the pleasure of his services.

Imagine him and Kerr together The club owners in Aberdeen would be wetting themselves at the thought.
-
I know he's been playing in the Prem but I wonder waht the score with Hoefkens is. Was highly rated a couple of season ago wasn't he?
-
I heard Jimmy had been using SM's old wigs to clean himself up after he'd had a tug. Thing is Willie got a dose of crabs and had gone to cut bit's off the old wigs to replace his tache...
-
So whats the score? Is it a rehash of the one pulled from AFC(we're not scared of being done for libel)hat earlier? Maybe with a couple more bits thrown in for good measure? Jimmy's neghbours wife telt her neighbours wife they're leaving today. Willie to replace Jimmy for Sundays game. Jimmy's lost the dressing room. Everyone hates Severin Jimmy's an alchy. ********************************************** Considine's confidence is shot to peices. Gary Harkins has agreed terms. Fit else? Anyone care to share? I'm willing to trade a really shit three month old rumour about Teddy Sheringham. * suppose I better remove that one as I assume thats the one that all the other sites are worried about.
-
Now, he does look like a mongol, I wonder if he's seebass' dad?
-
Genghis Khan was a Mongol. You wouldn't fuck with him or call him spasticated, he'd probably lynch you to death. *Edit what the fuck am I talking about?
-
Favourite, as in that was the nicest thing they called you? or Favourite, as in you found it funny? Aslo why do you use the back to front apostrophe from the top left hand side of the keyboard?
-
The boy with the "exclusive" over on the hat.
-
k9 definitely stated in his original post that Maguire started fight and was knocked out. Don't know why he edited mind?? And where the fuck are you getting that from? I can only assume your drunk! You have the team you deserve
-
I can only assume there has been some editing of the quotes from the hat. Three posts and not one JMG??
-
I wondered how you lynched someone to death! Surely "lynched and beaten to death" or "stoned to death by a lynch mob" or...

Sorry Dave, hand washing from above is not an acceptable defence. Either way, the buck still stops with Jimmy as far as I am concerned. If I worked directly with 20 folk on a day to day basis and half of them managed to, or even thought it was acceptable, to go behind my back to do something I deemed unacceptable I would be thoroughly embarrassed and ashamed. I would also expect to hauled up by my bosses along with those responsible. Likewise, if I had said "On you go lads, just don't do anything stupid!" Hindsight is wonderful thing, and denial (lets face it even if he did allow them to go out he's not likely to admit it now) should not be an acceptable "get out jail card" for Jimmy. Maximum club fines all round, as far as I am concerned, along with extra community work over the summer.
-
Stinks of un-professionalism from above, also. If they did tell Jimmy and he sanctioned it... If they didn't tell him and Jimmy didn't know that 6 or 7 employees out of the 20 or so, for whom he is directly responsible, went out so close to an extremely important game for the club and did this...
-
Totally unprofessional from the top down.

Last game of the season - how will it go?
baggy89 replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Could they nae just put the Tims on Setanta Ireland, It'll be on there as well anyway, why waste two channels worth of bandwidth showing the same game? -
As I understood it, £23 million of funding has already been sourced.

Mulgrew, Bougherra and cheating arse refered to panel
baggy89 replied to RnP's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I wonder what the odds are on Bougherra's card getting rescinded and Mulgrew's not? -
P&J: Aberdeen face prospect of a hectic summer ahead
baggy89 replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
And why wouldn't we need competitive games if we were tuning up for the SPL? Or are our notoriously bad starts acceptable if it means you get to go visit your friends and family in Holland on company time? Just think if we had some competitive matches last pre-season instead or arseing about horsing Dutch pub teams 10 - 0 fielding youth team players we might have picked up some points against, Caley, Hamilton, Scumdee Utd and Hibs at home. Also St Mirren and Motherwell away, in the first couple of months of the season. THEN we might have had 3rd sewn up and this story would never have needed to be written. -
Anyone else notice during half time there was a Setanta advert for next season? They obviously don't think we'll make the Europa league.
