  1. yessssssss Paton
  2. Fucking disgusting behaviour from Lafferty, I hope someone actually fucking injures him now, triple leg break.
  3. I was there in the family stand with mates and their dads we joined in with some songs that would be frowned upon nowadays aimed towards Paul Elliott, and got told off from our dads!I was 10. Remember Gillhaus' side netting shot vividly.
  4. I fancied Scunny, but Grant MCCann taking penalties in a playoff semi? Wonder if the one he hit the roof with for us(Cheltenham) against Wycombe will play on is mind
  5. Discovered this stuff last week, can't stop drinking it. Nectar.
  6. I think what is happening here is what is happening all over the country. Players are holding on at clubs because they know a large amount of players are being released, and they are hoping that their current club misses out in the expected transfer scramble. Then they might avoid having to drop through the divisions and take a large pay cut. Virtually every "released" player I've read about over the last week or so has said similar things. I wonder if Jimmy will do a Martin Allen and forgo a holiday in order to steal a march on his rivals for potential transfer targets?? Thought not !
  7. All these folk subsidising Chelsea and not renewing AFC season tickets! Have I stumbled upon a Hun Forum?
  8. Do you pay VAT on foodstuffs?
  9. I hear "Big Gus" might be available around October/November time . I still have a feeling Jimmy is on his way to Norwich in the summer. Not sure who I'd want to replace him, although I am in agreement that McGhee isn't the answer. Too like for like.
  10. Due a win at Ibr(oll)ox, make it a large one!
  11. After the happiness a pre-season trip to Weston with Cheltenham generated tonight, Aberden have gone and soured it, as fucking usual. Ah well, rest of a bottle of Wolfblass to make me feel better.
  12. Think so, I just assumed like the rest of the Notts County squad he'd be at least 40 at his next birthday.
  13. I don't know? Luke Rodgers - a lot of unfulfilled early promise Ryan Lowe - 16 goals in a relegated team Paul Ifil - Decent right mid John Oster - Worth a look David Sousa - Likewise Alton Thelwell - Not sure why Orient are releasing him There's not a lot in there worthy of interest I suppose.
  14. Shamelessly nicked from Cheltenham's forum, (I'm even too lazy to type it out again so cutting and pasting). Because of the financial difficulties the club has had, and the resulting loss of the scouting network, MA has asked fans to email suggestions of potential signings, so there a few similar posts. 15. According to Redknapp if you put your arm up to protect your face (while not looking at the ball) after the ball is blasted at your head from 4 yards away. Its a definate stone wall penalty. I'd like to find a single human being who wouldn't do the same thing, apart from ST whos not afraid of anything .
  16. A referee from Norway isn't qualified to ref a match involoving a team from the greatest footballing nation in the Universe. Afterall their league is shit part time stuff.
  17. Gullit loking quite embarassed by the undignified rants from Souness and Redknapp
  18. That was probably me
  19. YYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
  20. I dunno I guess its the first goal your getting at there and IMO Langfield should have been screaming at him to leave it. He does seem to have tremendous bad luck coupled with inexperience and the mistakes that come with that. However there does seem to be an unease in the team when he is playing and Jimmy playing Seve at the back kind of hints that he doesn't think Considine is good enough for a sustained run in the side.
  21. http://sports.inquirer.net/professional/professional/view/20090506-203500/Arsenal-fan-hangs-himself-in-Kenya Bit extreme! Surely he could have organised a few of his mates to get together, print of a few bits of paper with AWMG on and stand outside the Emirates.
  22. Ian Westlake is available this summer, would be a good signing I think? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Westlake
  23. He He! don't think I meant ironic. I suppose the reason I used it was because I support Cheltenham. So I suppose it's slightly intersting for me that Aberdeen (my first team) are being linked (albeit by somebody on the internet) to a player who replaced the Cheltenham captain at his last club. As an aside, I would have taken a 28 yr old Finners at Pittodire.
  24. Can't say I can picture him, although the name rings a bell. I must have seen him play for Lincoln I would have thought, and probably looked him up in the program to see if he was related to Terry. One season above League Two at 28 would suggest he is not the sort of player we should be looking at. Although the Lincoln side he played for were a decent team despite being a right mix match of cheapo cheapo signings. Ironically enough he probably got his chance in the football league after being signed to replace a Cheltenham bound John Finnigan.
  25. As Jimmy was allegedly at the Swindle v Gas game last weekend http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/swindon_town/8024244.stm The Swindon player being released. Phil Smith and Peter Berzovan are Keepers so doubt it was them Jamie Vincent is old so hopefully not him Craig Easton would tick the Jute reject box Barry Corr Doubtful Kanyuka??? I know fuck all about him J-P McGovern looked decent in the Johnstones paint last season but do we need a LM. Ifil I've mentioned It would seem Gordon Greer was the most likely scouting target???
