Aye was a short term deal, but saw an article with him "I want to commit to Colchester, Tema on the up, my family have moved too and settled in the area". Or as I read it "I won't make the same mistake as last year, leaving me unemployed for 6 months".
Not as often as I'd like with a 1 yr old and a (just) 4 yr old plus work commitments that often fall into the weekend. Probably a good thing this season though . Next will hopefully be better as the boy said he would like to come with me now (although I think that may have been because I said he could bring his PSP with him). This season has been a bit of an anomoly in L1 terms with Leicester, Leeds and such a strong posh side. Although I can only see it getting worse with the money in the Championship nowadays.
As I said on the Hat I'd be happy enough if Jimmy was at the Swindle game looking at big Kev Amankwaah a solid, pacy right back that I think would be happy enough at RM and CB. At one point he was being talked up as the next Lee Dixon but a car crash put paid to that. Or Jerel Ifil would be decent.
Cheltenham's very own Michael Townsend looked back to his best at CB since he came back from his loan after an up and down season involving falling outs with both the fans and the management. Against Oldham he had Lee Hughes in his back pocket
I suppose Steve Kabba stood out for Oldham, Zak Whitbred won everything in the air for Millwall at our place, although the best time for this sort of thing would be right after the games.
Difficult judging opposition players on one game though often its only strikers, keepers or the ref you notice.
Save your time the best player in League One this season was George Boyd, but as with Makail-Smith, Jermaine Beckford, Matty Fryatt, Rickie Lambert, Fabien Delph, Aarron McClean etc. he will be out-with our budget.
My Dad turned to me after the Bayern game and said it'll be another three years before we see another one of these. With the players we've lost and are losing, a new team will have to be built. No one wants to hear such harsh realities after a game like that, but he was probably right.
I was having this conversation the other day and totally agree. However, earlier in the season Cheltenham were visited by Millwall. After one of their players scored he ran to the home end knocked the chips out of one of the lads who stands at the front before giving a really high pitched whoop. He never got a card but if that's isn't text book inciting the crowd...
I'm fairly certain I read a few years ago that the majority of Aberdeen's support travel from north of Pittodrie. Although if that was the case, you would hope that this would have been taken into account in the feasibility study.
I gave up on positions (why would you care anyway?) I've got 1 keeper, 4 defenders, 4 midfielders and 2 strikers if your being polite .

Jesus fuck it's not as if Nigg has great architecturally designed oil company offices, or car dealerships or industrial units, it's a mish mash of fairly ugly buildings.
As for the "fresh water Loch" it's a big fucking puddle, and anyway I thought the idea was to build the stadium next to it not over it.
As for the destruction of green belt, this is fucking Scotland were talking about not London. One park being built on won't make the blindest bit of difference to the "green belt".
As for the wildlife where do you start? A couple of seagulls won't be able to pick up a few worms? Surely then the stadium will be positive providing the poor seagulls with a more varied diet, how many different pies can you get at Pittodrie these days?
Could the proposed preseason in Italy/Austria be an attempt my Jimmy to remedy our notoriously bad starts.
Training at altitude, building up an increased level of fitness?
I certainly hope so.
