Here's my thought for the day.
The views of internet Aberdeen fans are cyclical...
Start pre-season with great hope. Talking up chances of some silverware, slagging off some signings bigging up others.
Then, after the first few games, disillusionment. "We're shite, the signing that had been slagged off is worse/better than expected, the bigged up signing is pish, Seve is a crap captain Foster is not a footballer, Mackie couldnt hit a barn door with a cows arse".
A few more disappointing results. "Jimmy is crap why does he mess with the formation,Seve is a crap captain Foster is not a footballer, Mackie couldnt hit a barn door with a cows arse"
Some excellent results, positivity returns. Couple of decent wins see us back where we should be 3rd/4th. "We're on our way to Europe, can see us beginning to challenge Old Firm again but still, Seve is a crap captain Foster is not a footballer, Mackie couldnt hit a barn door with a cows arse"
Run of games maintaining this position, fan's get bored but not of saying "Seve is a crap captain Foster is not a footballer, Mackie couldnt hit a barn door with a cows arse".
One very bad result/couple of quite bad results. "Sack Jimmy he's a crap orange balloon from Glasgow and Seve is a crap captain Foster is not a footballer, Mackie couldnt hit a barn door with a cows arse"
Cue holidays, time to reflect on Seve being a crap captain Foster not being a footballer, Mackie being unable to hit a barn door with a cows arse, before the same cycle occurs again.
I wonder if David Attenborough would be interested in a documentary about it? Plenty of sub-stories like the unexplained aggression of the average afc-hatter, or the strange feeding habits of the lesser(how could you nae) spotted Minijc.
