  1. I didn't realise you had to touch the ball to be offside, otherwise at freekicks why not put your tallest player to stand directly in infront of the keeper, he can unsight the keeper while in an offside position. but as long as he doesn't touch the ball he's fine? IMO you can't, not be interfering with play if your standing in the middle of the 18 yrd box, fair enough if Boyd was out on the opposite touchline or closer to the southstand than Debeasley but in the middle of the area during an attack your interfering with play.
  2. Fuck referees getting demoted for getting decisions wrong these muppets on Setanta should be demoted to Camera men for the next game. WHY perpetuate the myth that the goal should have stood? Boyd was four or five yards off-side standing around about the penalty spot, so can only be seen to have been interfering with play. If he wasn't offside I fully expect Jimmy to play Darren Mackie on the oppositions penalty spot for the remainder of the season. He can continue to bea nuisance without the risk of injury.
  3. Can I be the first... Didn't we sign him last year ?
  4. Kick their asses sea...ehm...basses
  5. Got your notebook ready?
  6. See Leon Knight has been released by Wycombe, his contract terminated by mutual consent. Now this guy obviously has an attitude problem, this termination the latest in a long line of falling outs but he also has a pretty good scoring record. Dare I say worth a look as the little to Tommy Wrights large?
  7. Aye thats what I was trying to say one too many "t's" in "go to", though.
  8. As opposed to a straight poof? But aye sounds like something an English knob would say. "Off to Todders to see the chaps play soccer, toodle pip, tally ho, etc..." Anyway, the dutch trialist, he sounds alright, didn't Inglis got to Sofia from us? Lets hope the standard of player they sign is better now than it was then.
  9. Aye! Strachan and McMaster fit a pair of numpties .
  10. I know we like to read more into things coming from the club, but I didn't think we were doing it to fellow fans. But in answer to your question, no it would not be a bad thing quite the opposite really! As long it's for positions we need. On a side note, could it be a hint at the return of Anderson as was mentioned on another "chat" site.
  11. Is it just me who reads it as he wants to bring in some older players with experience rather than bring in more young ones?
  12. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/swindon_town/7544771.stm Can we assume Jimmys NOT bessie mates with Big Mo and Roy? Although I suppose we've got Mulgrew now.
  13. While I agree the SPL should be standing up for ALL SPL teams the only people that have a responsibility to stand up for Aberdeen Football Club are the board.
  14. Kind of wondered that too but thought that if they were to get the 5% they would have mentioned it before we sent them the tickets, in which case we will presumably have to take it because by sending them the tickets we would be seen to be entering into that contract. However if it wasn't mentioned till after we sent them the tickets we would be able to invoice for the full amount and expect to be paid it.
  15. What would the non old-firm teams loose if they all stood together and refused any old-firm supporters entry for the first home meeting between each of themselves and Rangers or Celtic? i.e no away tickets to the old firm for the first 11 games. Surely they would make some back by selling these tickets to home fans. Presumably a loss, how long would it take to make that loss back as compared to loosing 5% of the income on home gates every game, until they decide they need to charge 10% or 15%. There is no way Rangers and Celtic travelling support will be happy about not going to away games, and surely would kick up enough stink to get their clubs to drop the idea.
  16. Why was Snelders refered to as Th-e-oh and Ten Caat as Te-oh or Tay-oh. Or was that just me?
  17. I read, on holiday, "The Power of the Dog" by Don Winslow. It's all about the American war on drugs set over 30 years. Winslow tells of the involvement of the DEA ,the Mafia, CIA, Mexican drug cartels by telling the story through the eyes of several different characters. Best book I've read in a long while.
  18. Seems an odd move by Brizzle unless Orr is off to the Prem. If Orr is staying there is NO way Maybury is getting a game.
  19. If he's terrible (an above average League one player) then how bad will Tommy Wright be (an average league two player)?
  20. Is he left back? I had him pictured at right back, probably remembering Bournemouth defending, rather than attacking then.
  21. He's good if I remember right, would have seen him play I'm sure. Nae a very tall guy seem to remember him being fast but don't know why.
  22. Aye, that and the "another medical in two weeks" bit. It doesn't sit right with me.
  23. I'll be happy when this transfer dies on its arse. The boy disnae want to sign for us (IMHO). Normally I'd be annoyed but in this instance I think it's a blessing.
  24. According to mad Wrights coming. According to Hat Thompsons coming (could be any Thompson though!
  25. Aye sounds right, IF Seve is off (for a decent fee), what about a bid for Darren Barr? Still young but seems to have a good head on him, and would surely be an investment.
