Nicholson, Miller, Aluko & Walker - all leaving
baggy89 replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
HA HA What further than Oz to Britain?? -
My mates mum made his JVC logo and number with some white socks.
-
According to the BBC website he is in the squad for tonight, don't it's to make up U21 numbers as Aluko, Maguire and Walker are in the squad, is he there because the management rate him? Nae much info on him on redweb other than hes a midfielder.

Jackie McNamara blames commute for injury problems
baggy89 replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Presumably he moved last summer? So why move somewhere so far from his known place of work? -
Nothing to do with Russel Duncan but just backing up ST's point (I'm sure I've typed this before) we had the world ball skills champion at Cheltenham a guy called Craig Dobson he was the guy in opening credits at the start of ITVs Saturday premiership program a few years ago, he was wank. Funnily enough he scored at Wembley last year in the FA Vase final.

They had a game cancelled because the SFA wanted to rest the Scotland players before the Italy game, then they both cancelled a game because someone who once played for Celtic 10 years ago died, da ken about rangers third game maybe their players were extra upset at Phill O'Donnel dying and had to have an extra week off (not to coincide with europe though, oh no that would be favouritism).
-
The only problem I have with this is it's presumably the start of the Glasgow press attempts to get Zander playing for the Tims.

He's good in FM07

As much as I want to say "What a dick!, WHO expects us to win the title and cup?", shouldn't that be what he as the manager is aiming for? And if he's not what is he aiming for? If he aimed that high and we get to a semi and third in the league we as the fans can say the team have done well. I can only assume he doesn't believe that that this a realistic expectation, so why does he feel the need to go on to say his men are as good as any team, when he obviously doesn't beleive it himself. So for that reason I'd like to say What a dick!

Fuck wis that 7 years ago. Never made it home in time for the game, tuned into the secod half at a mates, but magic night in town after. Did anyone like Derek Shyte?
-
Maybe explains why you see so many Undisclosed Fee's nowadays.
-
I heard he occasionally likes playing for the opposition as well.
-
You have to question the boards decision on that one, fair enough in the summer with that Ferrie Bodde character being an unproven quantity, but not paying out a nominal fee for a player who has proven he can hack it at SPL level in a position we have been trying to fill for how many years? What was the last fee we paid, Lovell? His contracts about run its course now, I know we're skint but come on... Have to agree with Madbad as well who would come in who could do a job with a seriously delapidated squad and no money to spend? Having said that it probably would be the ideal time for a new man to come in because he would have the opportunity to build his own team bar the bare bones that are left, the problem being finding a cheap one to do it. I was also thinking last night if there was any managers I would like, currently plying thier trade in the lower reaches of England and there was only one that I would actually fancy as Aberdeen manager, thats Russel Slade, but he would probably have a bigger budget a Yeovil.
-
He could try playing while wearing a gum guard. Was there not a couple of players a while back that solved recurring injuries, with the root cause being back problems, by some such hocus pocus nonsense.
-
Complete foundationless pie in the sky thinking but.. Forest? the other Calderwood surely can't survive another season without automatic promotion. Similar job to Aberdeen, rebuilding a previously successful club with an expectant fan base. Money to spend and a perceived opportunity for him improve his "reputation".
-
I understand what your saying but as fans of the clubs we are never going to be impartial. From the outside looking in, he has taken a club languishing in the lower reaches of the SPL and turned them into side capable of reaching the last 32 of the UEFA cup having spent what?? £500k between two transfer fees and all this within four years. Yeah I probably am clutching at straws especially claiming the board are being clever but I just have a wee niggly feeling everything will work out alright. If I'm wrong we're fucked (and maybe thats why I've come up with this theroy) because if there was a game Jimmy should have been at on monday night looking for potential signings it certainly wasn't a Premiership reserve fixture.
-
While I understand the doom and gloom following recent results am I the only one who thinks the board may have been quite clever with their three year deal for the Jimmy's. I've been reading all the wrist slitting threads and while I may have woken up last night in a sweat thinking about who next years team would be made up of... Surely Calderwood's stock is at an all time high. If ever there was going to be an approach from a Championship Club it would be now. Is it possible that there was no financial outlay bar free signings on short term contacts in January because the board are aware that approaches are going to be made for the management? It kind of makes sense to me, possibly Jimmy has told Miller and Nicholson he will take them with him, hence them not signing new contracts. I know Cheltenham made more out of Carlisle taking John Ward off their hands not long after him signing a long contract than they ever made out of player sales. Why change from the rolling contract now unless they could smell the filfee lucre?

99 Problems (But The Pitch Ain't One).
baggy89 replied to Superstar Tradesman's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
They do my ween loons got one its just nae official there's nae sponsor and nae nike badge other than that its nae bad there's a club badge and it's got a wee white collar. Also widnae trust the computer system for tickets my mate bought his Caley and hearts tickets at the same time because he was offshore at the time of the hearts game, when he phoned for his munich ticket he was told they "couldn't see" his hearts ticket and he would have to bring his stub to the ticket office when he collected his bayern ticket (he'd given it to mate as he was away). Thankfully it apperared on the gadgies screen and he got it sent out ot him, but he was worried and piss off for a few minutes. -
These guys have spent the money, taken the time aff work and made the effort tae go to Munich... WISE UP FFS
-
Aye I'm making my way up for this game and have yet to see Aberdeen lose "live" since moving away fae Aiberdeen. Then again if the planes trains and automobiles da go to plan I may not make it and we'll lose anyway. However I may now have jinxed my odd run...
-
CHICKEN! Didn't want to face Ricky Foster obviously.
-
Be disappointed if that was the case with these lads why go to the time and effort of loaning them out if it's not for the clubs benefit.

Transfer news - Clark, Hart, Nicholson, Dobie, Bus latest
baggy89 replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I watched Dobie miss an open goal from inside the six yard box last season. Then again Miller couldn't score for Toffee in League One so who knows.
