  1. We're due a fucking win at Ibrox Langfield dropped is a good decision for me, I think he'll come back re-focused as he's been all over the place recently.
  2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/8526374.stm Seems like the players have basically said they haven't got a clue how to play.
  3. I think its a mixture of McGhee being a cock and the players undoubtedly been a bunch of knobs.
  4. McGhee has got every single decision he came to Aberdeen wrong in my opinion. I believe he is trying to do things right and he wants success more than any of us but everything he does seem to backfire. The whole of the summer transfer window wasted trying to sign Stephen Hughes, the Sigma shambles (home and away), the list is fucking endless. That said if the players have chucked the scottish cup tie as they want mcghee out then I want them out!
  5. Not sure, all the Motherwell players seem to speak highly of McGhee's methods. It was an interesting quote, to me its all on the line already.

  7. Football's changed, I think personally folk should support their local football team but as Ian said its not about where you're from, its about where you're at
  8. Pawlett injury worse than first feared and he's out for the rest of the season.
  9. Agree with McGhee there, what choices are available, thing is that is something he could have addressed in the two transfer windows he's already had?
  10. Maybe the rules on youtube clips should be lifted so we can enjoy moments involving the players
  11. Yeah but presumably a lot of them have moved away from the area so although not living there just now ala glasgow sheep still actually from Aberdeen. The thing is its not really about anyone who isn't from the city, for me it sums up what I posted elsewhere that its the people of Aberdeen who don't even bother going to games that are killing the club by not attending games. Whilst I do not expect sell out crowds we should be at least getting 15,000 each week and the difference this would make to the club is massive. I have so much respect for those I witness travelling up on trains/buses to continue to support the team as I have done myself over a number of years. It is the folk that sit watching Man Utd in Archie Simpsons before a match who won't even trundle along to Pittodrie that get my back up.
  12. If that is your attitude I couldn't give a fuck how you address him. I just thought Aberdonians were better than that.
  13. I agree, its the context of what he was saying, he wasn't saying Aberdonians are cold to him but just saying folk weren't coming up to him declaring him as some kind of messiah.
  14. Agree, to be honest I don't really see what option he has, what is the alternative? Admitting the situation is hopeless or saying nothing? On another note I don't think the subject header is appropriate whatsoever, maybe we really have become as bad as rangers fans when we start addressing the chairman as "cunt".
  15. What was the other one? Hegarty wasn't made up, he just used a random name to illustrate a point about being able to handle folk trying to wind you p.
  16. What fucking planet is Ian Stewart on?
  17. Sure I read they budgeted for top 6 and being knocked out of the cups early this year, maybe they have more foresight than we thought.
  18. The Mill Inn, home to many a drunken day.
  19. The club has a £10M debt with a £30M planned new stadium to service, a lot of the £10M debt is due to be repaid within the next two years or restructured. I personally do not know anyone who wants to invest in Aberdeen FC to the extent that is required and lets not gloss this up, who in their right mind would want to take over Aberdeen FC except a fan with spare money. Any fan with money would have been involved by now and probably would have got involved when Milne and co were spunking loads on new players in the horrendous Aitken era. The fans haven't got the team they deserved at all, the club is a disorganised mess no doubt about it however the people that have the team they deserve is not the "fans" but the "public" of Aberdeen, the population that sit in bars watching English Football instead of supporting their local football team. The very ones reading their P&J complaining about fans who go to matches voicing their fury on Tuesday not bothered that the reason we're so shit is that they sit on their backsides spending £20 a week in the pub instead of supporting the team they claim to support by actually attending.
  20. Some good posts lads, if anything the situation if JC had still been in charge would have been even worse but thats a hypothetical statement never to be proved. My reasoning is that as Glasgow Sheep pointed out JC had already lost a huge section of the fans before the Hibs game. Whilst I doubt we'd have been stumbled so badly against Sigma the reality is that Calderwood would not have replaced the players that left any better than McGhee did in the summer with the budget available. I feel if Calderwood had been given the £600,000 budget and an increase in players wages to match this budget things may have been different however Milne has made it pretty clear that was never the intention whatever happened.
  21. I'm just hoping someone out there can bring some positive thoughts to the table, hopefully they don't include Aluko.
  22. Cracking album, how big is the venue they are holding it in?
  23. Crikey feels like ages since the Raith debacle....... IN/OUT: After much swaying I am in. Pre-match: Work - car to game Post-match: Car home for a few in the house Prediction: 2-0 Aberdeen and good backing from a probably small travelling support.
