Somewhere? Its in this thread
-
Paton isn't shite on the wings, Maguire is, but he's also shite up front.
-
Wasn't Tzvetanov (sp) a left back rather than a right back?
-
Decent player though, Black that is. If I was Hearts I would be using it as an perfect excuse to get rid of Nade.

Steve's a great guy. A lot of the problem with the RU was it was seen to be about the RU and not the club which wasn't the intention. I hope whatever happens helps increase the colour and atmosphere at home matches and with an AFC perspective more than anything.

I think the resting will do us some good, we've played a lot of games recently and Tuesday is the priority. IN/OUT: Out Pre-match: Working 7-12:30 Match: Scrambling home Post-match: Celebrating Prediction: 2-0 Aberdeen

For me it was defo a fair result

EE: McGhee: ‘I can make Aberdeen FC great again’
tsr replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
To be fair that's not a quote its just journo talk. -
There is going to be a meeting before a home game which should allow the majority of those who want to attend to do so. At the moment there is not a way of donating but if the meeting goes well something would be set up then I would personally have thought. Stand Free

At the time I thought Kerr looked miles onside. Langfield did have a poor game, in general his kicking is good but there were a few times he choose to punt the ball into the sky instead of keeping it simple. Langfield just needs to get focused again, especially with the replay coming up.

Seen you say that on afc chat and still don't agree, lets hope your proved wrong.
-
How much of it is a cash loss anyway? He says partly due to land write down so thats just a paper loss surely?
-
To be honest based on last night and arguably even Hearts i'd continue with the 4-3-3 with MacLean through the middle and Pawlett and Aluko providing the width.

McGhee on the "You're not fit to wear the shirt" chants
tsr replied to BobbyBiscuit's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I think the club favour rolling contracts to avoid big pay offs ala Calderwood. Think it suits both parties but for McGhee to go higher than AFC he has to have a prolonged period of success I would say so not to concerned about this. -

I think he'll be able to handle the media and I don't see there being any major issues this season, obviously if we lose 10 games in a row including the cup tie things may change. After much google searching it would appear you are correct about the rolling contract however -

What was the question put to him? -
What about the scrummage in the middle of the park? He was at the time talking to his linesman about another issue so missed it all. He went to the other linesman then back to the one he was talking to originally then randomly decided to book a Hibs player. How he came to that conclusion I have no idea.

I think that was McGhee's point if you read the full interview? He was saying he's just like any other manager, he wasn't moaning that folk don't treat him better just pointing out the media think he's treated as a legend and given more patience when its not the case. -

How does it not? He signed a 2 year contract which after this becomes a yearly rolling contract, pretty much the contract JC and JN were on before Miller gave them a 3 year deal for getting beat by Queens Park. Of course I may be confusing the two managers together but for me it doesn't change that you think MM will be under pressure if we get a few bad results which is exactly the kind of guff McGhee is saying the club could do without. -
Duff defo fked it up but mizer description gives Duff more credit than he deserved. Overall a great game to watch, we deserved a point at least. I think our team suits playing teams like Hibs, yeah they pounded us a bit but until the subs came on I felt pretty confident we'd score more.

Indeed, no doubt they'll get us in the semi's!
-
We should get a 3pm kick off as doubt SKY will pick us for this one.

I don't even see how either option can be considered realistic, I doubt we'll get relegated in my lifetime and thats despite the best efforts of some truly terrible managers. -
You be back for this one Ally S? From a cup perspective its a great draw, surely we can beat them this time.

Its presented much better in the P&J We need them to back players and believe a bit more in the team, says Aberdeen manager McGhee is looking for some blind faith from supporters Published: 10/02/2010 Mark McGhee yesterday urged Aberdeen fans to give the team “a break†and back the players “blindly†until his long-term vision has a chance to come to fruition. The Dons were booed by their supporters on Saturday when Gary McDonald’s 95th-minute goal earned them a Scottish Cup replay against Raith Rovers. The Dons had lost their previous two Scottish Premier League games, at home to Motherwell and Falkirk, to leave them 15 points behind third-placed Hiber-nian before their trip to Easter Road. But McGhee insists he and his players deserve more support. “The players here do receive more abuse from fans than at other clubs,†he said. “As a player myself, I would want to challenge that and prove them wrong. But we live in different times and different players take different attitudes. Some might think, ‘To hell with this, I’m not taking this any more’. “But you have got people like Darren Mackie, who has suffered as much, if not more, abuse than any other player. But on Saturday, I was getting abuse for taking him off. “I think it’s a case of me being prepared to challenge them and say, ‘Come on, we need more help than that’. We need them to believe a bit more.†The Dons take on Hibs tonight and McGhee, who lost out on signing target Alan Gow to the Edinburgh team last week, feels Easter Road counterpart John Hughes has an advantage over him in terms of resources. But he added: “In 18 months or two years, I expect to be able to say ‘I expect to beat Hibs at Easter Road’. But I don’t think we can say that now and I don’t think we can expect to beat Raith Rovers at Stark’s Park. We’re not established enough as a team. This is a work in progress. “I want almost like a blind support, until they can say ‘you have had two years and signed 10 players and it’s not any better’. Then I’ll be down the road, there’s no doubt about that, but it’s a long way from that yet.
