So if you acknowledge that Dow was shite why should he be on the list? He was a bit like a cult hero at the time but only because we were so bad the alternative was to stop going at all such was how bad Dow and Co were. Awful footballer.
Can't understand the complaints about the formation, we created a lot of good chances, scored a great goal, hit the woodwork, dominated possession, seriously who cares what formation is used to get the end positive result?
The original decision had no merit in it whatsoever imo, its not an admin competition its about playing on the park and I don't agree there was blatant cheating going on, the boy was at fault for their goal from what i've read! yeah they should be above making mistakes at professional level but for me the right decision would have been a fine.
Hope they pump the tic out and Raith game finally goes ahead this week also!
Kilmarnock boss Jimmy Calderwood said he had a lump in his throat at the warm reception given to him by the Aberdeen support.
However Calderwood, who left Pittodrie in May last year, did not have a winning return to his old stomping ground after a moment of brilliance from Derek Young four minutes after the break sealed a 1-0 victory for the Dons.
Calderwood said: "I have to thank the Aberdeen fans. You get a bit sentimental and a lump in your throat. It was a fabulous reception and I didn't expect it to be that good.
"It cements the wonderful five years we had here and the wonderful city it is. Although there were a few games where the reception I got was a bit different!"
He should be given the same abuse anyone with hun tendancies should get
Think you'll be surprised, be more applauding from the main stand than boos from elsewhere.
It needed developed but maybe not to the grand scale that it was done on..although I guess AFC will argue that the corporate sales it generated made it worth it?
With Diamond on the verge of a return I wouldn't say we were that desperate as we have players that can cover that position for one or two games. Its been a while since a centre half came through the ranks so I guess there may be boys coming through. If we get another long term injury then its time to worry.
Whilst I agree with your sentiment I would say an extra 20 years from CA as the 10 years after his death were fairly successful and with respect football was changing to be more effected by who has the most cash etc. That said there's no doubting how disorangised we were for a large part of the 1990's.
I agree, think Mcghee is just happy to see it out to the end of the season then do some deals then once some of the out of contract boys leave to release some wages.
I kind of agree, whilst its fair enough to do these things to appeal to the more affluent punter it would be decent if there was stuff for the mere mortals to do.
Feel that your answer within the current squad is Miller.
I don't agree that Paton offers anything on the left, to often he's out of the game bar the occasional glimpse of quality that he undoubtedly has. Its a big season for him, I think he has to offer more than he currently is.
