  1. Best of luck to the boy, I hope we've found our goalscorer. Welcome aboard
  2. Aye, if he hasn't got flip-flops for the shower Hartley puts a reducer on him.
  3. Utterly fucking crazy if this swap goeas ahead. 7 strikers and 6 defenders was already a dodgy mix for a team apparently fixed on playing 4-5-1 ish. But after shipping out out the young fullback, were we to get rid of Foster for another striker then I'd question the sanity of McGhee. I've no problem with shipping out Foster, if we replace him with better but I'd want the money and time to replace him. Even using this to fund Basey leaves us short and is more risky as Basey could be utter wank. Like Grassi. Warped.
  4. The weird thing is that it's hardly indicative of the "conveyor belt of talent" that is apparently underway at AFC. MM obviously doesn't rate him.
  5. Quite right Ally, different strokes and all that. Let's hope it's the making of the boy.
  6. Send out a promising young striker on loan so we can borrow and play another promising youngster? Mental.
  7. First friendly tomorrow for new season, wife's out so will watch Reading on TV I suppose. A few big weekends coming up, including a mates wedding in Scotland. First time back for 14 months.
  8. The Libertines, in preparation for tomorrow at Reading. I have grown to like them a lot. It's probably a sign of age.
  9. As far as I remember they have to wait for any swelling to reduce before performing an MRI?? That could be shite though.
  10. I think Johnson knew fine he'd fucked up. I called the grounding when he addressed the ball. The pro's are generally impeccable but only he knows. As for Kaymer, 2 awesome putts at 17 and 18. Fully deserved. I'm really looking forward to the Ryder Cup now, as long as they play Celtic Manor to the design, risk\reward then it should be great with the Yank big hitters. Monty may be tempted to take that out of the set up. Although the Europeans have big hitters as well. If I were Monty I'd go for Harrington, Stenson and Karlsson. Possibly Rhys Davies or Queros (sp?) For their foursomes skills but I like the Swedes. They smile whilst they kill.
  11. I guess that the challenge will be there for him to break into the first team squad but it's weird because he appears as number 52 on the players profile part. I guess he will be with the youth team most of the season though. For what it's worth I think he should be with the first team squad and be released to the youth team when required. Just my opinion like, he probably needs more football time than simply a place in the first team squad.
  12. We are two defenders and a central midfield player short in my opinion. Seem to have enough cover up front albeit with maybe a lack of quality, let's see how Vernon gets on though. Where's Grimmer?
  13. Edinburgh is spot on. He's probably the worst player I've ever seen in an AFC shirt.
  14. I'm quite confident we'll do ok with a team including the following players; Langfield Foster Considine Diamond Pawlett Aluko Hartley Fyvie Paton If they get the finger out, if one or two of the new guys step up and we can avoid injuries then we'll be fine.
  15. Based on that tell Jerel I'll pick him up in a couple of hours. Paton, whilst far from the finished article has some real promise. I don't understand the logic of taking in a player of a similar age from Cardiff and then letting Paton, or Megginson for that matter, go on loan just to free up a space. Hopefully it's just paper talk but if not then I'm struggling with what their aims are. Are we developing our own talent or not?
  16. You've got to question McGhee's signing policy if he hasn't brought in the people to implement his vision. It all seems a bit scattergun to me.
  17. I would drive Ifil to wherever he's lined up but he can't go unless we have back up for Diamond and Considine. Paton is the best forward at the club, he should be going nowhere.
  18. Pensioner? You been on the elixir of life again?
  19. Old age is a terrible thing
  20. Nah a first in Tuscany Bobby. I've was in Rimini when I was a kid but that's hardly authentic Italy. Last day of work tomorrow until 27 July.
  21. It's like an official cunt register. These lot are more deluded than the Hun. Imagine being excited at watching a group of EPL journeymen rape your club. Hope they go out of business.
  22. I usually make it over for the weekend when it's in Scotland Bobby but I'll be on holiday this year. Got 6 rounds booked at Golf Ugolino though, that'll make up for it. http://www.golfugolino.it/nuovo/eng/galleria_foto_e.htm Shame I'm playing like a tit though.
  23. Stoney's Moobs Bowl
