I think the the criticism levelled against JC for his Dutch signings is unwarranted. Snoyl, Smith, Touzani - good signings JDV - he could go either way. Bus, Bass - shite. So, rather than patchy I'd call the signings decent especially as the latter two were really only signed as cover.
