  1. Yip, I fear that ship has sailed (the one with a cheque for Miller on it that is). If only Hearts will still chucking daft money about we could have punted him to them and used thr cash for McLean (as we have all now decided he is the panicea for our goal scoring problems)
  2. Pretty much a guarantee JC will come to Pittodrie and win. Half price or not.
  3. Not the future. Past his best and now seems pretty injury prone. Only two teams in the SPL have conceded less goals than us so I don't think defence is where we should look for problems. Put your hearts away and think rationally.
  4. Unless he has come to his senses......OK, you're right. Sounds like nonsense (I will type that a lot in January I suspect) ...and who exactly is MM going to be beating off ? Don't like the sound of that
  5. Mulgrew does not have a wide enough range of talents to be a top earner at Aberdeen. If he was to become one then it just raises expectations of other players. Would be very very surprised if this move was made. Sounds like nonsense.
  6. Best just not get involved rather than start another thread then yeah ?
  7. BBC says they will 'listen to offers' so he is not gone until he has been taken off our hands
  8. Fair enough, I hadn't thought that one through too well.
  9. They seem a friendly bunch in that video. Many of the photos have them waving at the camera en mass. how can they be accused of being racists when there are so many black faces in their ranks ? I'm confused.
  10. Now why does that not surprise me.
  11. Would prefer a QF with the winner of the Ross County/Inverurie vs Albion/Stirling, although looks more likely to be Hibs next fixture as they seem to be getting a by to the final at this rate.
  12. I still maintain it was not the incredible precision header it was heralded as. Not sure I went as far as 'fluke'. I do remember an exceptional attempt at proving how to look utterly lost in a full back position by a certain young man that night.
  13. After this next round is done there will be at least half of the SPL teams out of the tournament. Probably only Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen, Hibs, Dundee UTD and Motherwell left. Although, potentially the top 6 sides in the league at present.
  14. He'd have to be. He wasn't gettin' his hole through good looks for sure.
  15. Only problem is that sort of sensible, medium to long term thinking simply does not exist in the minds of any agents and very few footballers. As a career, football is all about now and agents have to be some of the most myopic fuckers in any business context.
  16. YYAAASSSSSS. Although had same thoughts last year and Raith lost to Alloa in their replay.
  17. I'm with that. Airdire is a fuck-hole and would bring out the evil in both supports.
  18. Starks Park for me.
  19. Low ebb at Tannadice. Can't afford £200K comp. Did they not get that at least for CL ? Pretty poor show. Fancy the jags to steam them out the cup tomorrow.
  20. EE is in the business of selling copy, not negotiating in todays incredibly volatile and challenging market place. The hat is......well its the hat for fuck sake. Cool your boots before you have our new team sheet written for tomorrows game.
  21. We know that sort of posturing will always follow specualtion, managers, agents etc do their negotiations in the media as much as behind closed doors. However, like I said, it is unlikely to come off for sure.
  22. You read me wrongly ally. I have been complimentary of them myself and believe it to be a loss to the atmosphere at Pittodrie. When I say minutes applause, it is a tongue-in-cheek remark relating to their demise and it being marked with respect along with closing the Y section (I would have typed minutes silence but that doesn't seem to be convention these days!) No intention to insult whatsoever!
  23. If ZD is still a sellable asset then it makes sense to punt him and take cash now. If we could also get Barr then he is likely to be another sellable asset (albeit, a chunk going to Falkirk) as well as a reasonable repacement. It makes good business sense although a little disruptive on the football side. Find it hard ot see Barr coming to Pittodire unless Falkirk are in control (unlikely) and the prospect of getting McDonald rather than nothing swings it.
  24. Was about to post that myself. Trying to imagine the substitutes drifting lightly onto the pitch as if blown in on a light wind.
  25. I heard there will also be a minute's applause for the death of the Ultras pre-match
