I'd say McGhee is 90% certain to be our boss next season. Seems Celtic are not interested in him or they wouldn't be going after Martinez. Just a matter of time.
Pretty much what was being reported on BBC Radio Scotland this morning.
McGhee wants to go to Celtic and Aberdeen want McGhee. Whether it has been said or its just speculation it is going to cause some annoyance among our fans. Despite the fact we all know the Celtic job is a bigger role and he is obviously going to want to go there.
Also said that Hibs are after Hughes. Moving from Brazil1980 to Brazil1970 could be a big move for him. My Hibs contact, although admittedly not a good one says Calderwood for ER.
What's to trust or not trust. He isn't our manager anymore. His ability to do any damage is limited and to be honest he is just going to look embittered if he stirs it up. Forget him.
Excellent post JJ Actual facts are always welcome among the hysteria.
I assume that revenue might be impacted this season as there have been a few price promotions, possibly more than previous seasons, although I could be wrong on that.
Fucking fat, orange faced, ball juggling, tumbola turning, cup humiliating, dutch trialist shagging, press spouting fucklet of a fuck.
There I said it. Can we pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease move on ?
You are probably right.
The problem with Scottish football is that in order to see any genuine challenge to the dominance of the OF it cannot happen with one team breaking out in a Hearts-style charge for the front. For there to be real open competition you have to ensure that the OF can lose up to 8-10 games a season in the SPL. Last season they each lost 4 while Hearts lost 11 and we lost 13. No team outside the two is likely to go through a season only losing 4-5 games to keep up so we need them to lose more. This outcome relies on a further 5 or 6 defeats in a season and one team cannot deliver that. You are looking at 4 or 5 teams at least who can take a couple of wins off the OF and that is a big ask. It would mean 4 or 5 teams who were playing a consistently good level of football if they were confident of getting close to beating the OF a couple of times a season.
As much as I hate to say it, we need UTD, Hearts and Hibs to be stronger along with us if a challenge for the title is to be seen as even remotely possible.
I was referring to Motherwell and if I'd known you were planning to get all serious and shit I would have stuck to my usual lecturing, self-righteous and indignant tone. Sorry
Although in fairness did he not write off circa £9m of debt so that Motherwell could be 'debt free' after he had pumped them into administration, albeit after screwing a bunch of players in the process.
There was some horseshit from Boyle about having fought off Hearts last season and being ready to fight us off. He may be ready to dip into his pockets to keep him. He has spent recklessly before.
It's Darren Ferguson we are courting. Thats why the MacAnthony is warning us off and saying we can't afford him rather than 'I have heard nothing from Aberdeen'
