Now to get Thomas to build a train track.

Had a chuckle at this. If there is ever any silver lining to the Orcs winning the title it is this.

Mulgrew, Bougherra and cheating arse refered to panel
Ajja replied to RnP's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I heard a report on BBC saying Mulgrews card would be rescinded. Obviously not fact if the panel has not met but they were pretty certain about it. -
Rangers: They have the title in their graps, it doesn't matter what Celtic do they just have to win (unlike last year where I don't think they believed Celtic would drop points). They will push UTD aside comfortably because their supporters will not accept them losing the title at this stage. 2-0 win Aberdeen: Hibs have played well in the top 6 but the last game of the season is always a pretty dull affair for a team with little to play for. Their minds will be on holidays and fighting on Lothian Road. Hibs will not sit deep and try to counter attack us, they will relax and try to play football to see out the season on a high. Our recent problems at Pittodrie have been because teams have sat in and defended and we are shit at breaking them down. We will benefit from an open game. As Calderwood says, this is the last go at Europe. We can piss away chance after chance in the league, we can fuck up against inferior opposition in the cup but there is always another opportunity, particularly this season with so many other sides being poor. However, this is it. No more chances. A cup final. A 'Copenhagen' if you like. Last few years we have handed out some destructive performances on the final day against better opposition that Hibs and teams with something to play for. 3-0 win. Job done, dust out the passports. :ultras:

Unfortunately the 'value' of a player is not absolute. The financial and management strength of the club they are signed with has a large amount to do with it. Our management won't put him on a long term contract so he will always be one or two seasons away from his contract end and therefor vulnerable to poaching. Clubs will also know what we would accept for a player and so will bid accordingly. Put Megan Fox in a high class 'escort agency' and you will pay top dollar to fuck her. Put her on the streets of Montrose and you aren't gonna shell out much more than £30 for a pop.

He may not even be playing for us by then. The way he is going, Celtic will be trying to rob him any day soon.

I was there too. I am old. I wore a sun hat and drank Becks and cheered the Dandies to victory. I even hugged fatjim.

I'm coking it tonight. SNIIIFFFFF.

Was just thinking tonight that for the last two seasons we have gubbed the scum at the end of the campaign. Two years ago we nailed them to clinch Europe and last season it was to stop them from winning the league. If other results went a certain way this weekend (ie Hearts thump UTD and Celtic beat Hibs) then we could win at Ibrox and be in a great position for Europe AND lose them the league. It would also be nice to make sure of that before UTD get the chance next week. I almost wet myself just typing that. COYR :ultras:

EE: Mair staying at Aberdeen FC, but Smith may go
Ajja replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
In a fantasy land where all the choices are ours then no. In reality then I guess we have to assess our players on the basis of alternatives. We have to match up things like costs, value and ROI on a case-by-case basis and assemble whatever we can in the circumstances. For the record, I wasn't advocating signing Mair. I was only pointing out that I thought the club could be doing the right thing by holding off on his deal. -
I feel this game could go any way, we are very unpredictable in these circumstances. Realistically, I think a draw is the best we can hope for but suspect a comfortable win for the hun is on the cards.

EE: Mair staying at Aberdeen FC, but Smith may go
Ajja replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
My point was that possibly they are not sure how much they can bend him over and fuck him rather than whether they can keep him or not. I thought the article suggested that he had said he was happy to stay and that the club would offer him a deal at the end of the season. That says nothing of not knowing whether they can afford to keep him. The article (and it is only that of course) only calls into question the amount they are willing to offer not that they are willing to offer at all. -
EE: Mair staying at Aberdeen FC, but Smith may go
Ajja replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
If we are going to offer him a reduced deal and the level of reduction is dependant on revenues realised from the season end is it not a sensible and appropriate move to delay. I doubt there is much risk of us having Mair snatched from under our noses. -
Surgery can only cover up the surface. You can rebuild a flaky old hole as many times as you like. Its still gonna be a shit experience.

A large %age of retailers have pretty much ignored the VAT reduction. Pie sellers are not unique in this. The VAT was not really reduced to allow the consumer to save 6p on their pie pruchase it was done by government to knock approx 2.2% off inflation overnight and provide the BoE with some much needed breathing space to reduce interest rates by large amounts. This guy is an idiot with his head rammed up his own arse trying to see if there is any sunlight.

I'll simplify it then. SATURDAY Hearts beat UTD We don't get totally horsed by Huns NEXT SUNDAY We beat Hibs by a few UTD lose at home to huns DONE AND DUSTED. I appreciate there is very little reason for optimism (Stubo) but you have to also agree that the set of outcomes required is neither complicated or is it highly improbable. While those circumstances exist I will keep my dander up. COYR.

I'm really looking forward to watching Helen Mirren going down. Helen Mirren has sucked constantly in this SPL and its time for her to just blow.

So, enough bickering people, let's get back to the 'arithmetic': Tues, May 12 Dons 0 Cheatin', hackin', divin', time wastin' scum 0 Celtic 2 UTD 1 Table Hearts 55 GD 0 UTD 53 GD +3 Dons 50 GD +1 Sat, May 16 Huns 2 Dons 0 Hearts 1 UTD 0 (or any 1 goal victory for the scum) Table Hearts 58 GD +1 UTD 53 GD +2 Dons 50 GD -1 Sun, May 24 Dons 3 Hibs 0 Celtic 28 Hearts 0 (Who gives a shit at this stage) UTD 1 Huns 2 (or any 1 goal defeat) Final table Hearts 58 GD -27 Dons 55 GD +2 UTD 55 GD +1 So the first gate is that if we assume that we lose (but not heavily) at Ibrox. Some may dispute this but lets err on the side of caution. The second gate is that Hearts beat UTD. The more goals the better but lets asusme 1 for caution again. These cretins play on at 3pm so will already know the result of our game which might play for us or against us depending on how we do. The Hearts UTD result is most critical as it puts us within a sniff of the Jutes going into the final bend. UTD win or draw and we get nothing at Ibrox and the game is up. The third gate is that we will probably need to stick at least 2 or 3 past Hibs without reply and hope the huns don't choke at Tannadice. I'm still confident that we will pass them at the line. C'MON YOU REDS.

He looked excellent last night but I am worried about the number of 'defenders' we are accumulating who are not really defenders. Mulgrew and Vidal are FBs who can't really defend and play better as sort of wing backs come midfielders. Foster is a midfielder who plays FB and apparently now CB, Mair is a CB who plays FB from time to time, Duff is a midfielder who sometimes plays FB, Seve is a midfielder who plays at CB. Have I missed anyone ? So basically Zander and Considine look like the only actual defenders who play in their actual positions.

I saw a cracking Samsung flat screen in M&S today for about £1600. Didn't catch the model but it was ultra thin and the picture was damn near perfect. It was a beautiful thing and I found myself stroking it without realising. My wife was worried.
-
We can (and probably will) lose at Ibrox and still finish third. No need to win 3 in a row
-
I'd actually prefer to see UTD in with us. The further down the toilet those scummy bastards from Grozny get the better. Even if it does mean UTD getting to piggy back our further European adventures, the 80's are back in fashion across the board anyway!

Arithmetic is an elementary branch of mathematics, ergo, it is still classed as mathematics. If someone called a dog an animal you wouldn't pull them up for not calling it a mammal or a canine. There has to be a sensible point where you cut off the detailed classification for the purposes of understanding and compensating for the environment you are having a discussion in. That cut off point in this instance would be where I am right and all others are wrong. Glad I cleared that up. Ajja

So, it must be time do the 'how its going to pan out' thread again ? I reckon: Tues, May 12 Dons 2 Hearts 0 Celtic 3 UTD 1 Table Hearts 54 GD -2 UTD 53 GD +2 Dons 52 GD +3 Sat, May 16 Huns 2 Dons 0 Hearts 1 UTD 1 Table Hearts 55 GD -2 UTD 54 GD +2 Dons 52 GD +1 Sun, May 24 Dons 3 Hibs 0 Celtic 2 Hearts 1 UTD 2 Huns 2 Final table Dons 55 GD +4 UTD 55 GD +2 Hearts 55 GD -3 I think it will end very close but we will sneak 3rd. If the Hearts v UTD game is to end in a winner then hopefully it will be UTD and we get 4th ahead of the Jambos.

As long as the SFA have control over the decision I can't see them removing the rule about cup runners up. Anything that will detract from the Scottish Cup as a tournament is bad for the SFA. If they close the door to a potential Europa league spot for teams outwith the OF then it would reduce the appeal of reaching the final and thereby weaken the tournament as a spectacle affecting sponsorship, TV revenue etc. For the record, I would scrap the rule in a heartbeat. Too many humiliations in Europe because of it. I mean, next season we might potentially be sending Falkirk, Motherwell, UTD and fucking Hearts into Europe to represent us. What an utter fuckpile of horseshit to go up against Europes finest (admittedly, second tier finest). Red faces all round.
