  1. Scoring goals for fun is the minimum criteria. Until that starts then he has no chance
  2. I read about 3 lines of that article and my opinion is thus: -For 'top names' read some players in our squad who we might want to keep, sort of.. -JC can talk all he wants about players needing to make their minds up early but we all know we will still be reading about all these deals 2 weeks before they are coming to an end -There is fuck all we can do about this situation so before 40 threads are posted over the next 3 months can we just clarify that fact now and move onto talking about something else ?
  3. Maybe she got a call from the producers of Americas next top model
  4. Can't see it to be honest. They have a reasonable squad with some decent players but they have such a high ability to self destruct that its hard to see them playing consistent football all season. They have been pretty poor in a lot of games this season and have fluked quite a few wins according to season ticket holders at work.
  5. Agree with a lot of these comments and like Funster, I think some players are beginning to show a degree of promise but its slow at best and often feels like 2 steps forward, 1 step back (or the opposite at times!) When you look around the league, its hard to see why we should not be comfortably in 3/4th position. UTD are the biggest challenge for us and you have to ask yourself why this is. There is not much between Levein and Calderwood in terms of managerial ability but the thing that Levein appears to be able to do that JC cannot is make players believe in themselves. Increasingly I think JC, for all the 'great man management skills' he apparently posseses he seems unable to install the basic principals of pride and belief. Its all well and good to be able to take players out for a pint and convince them to sign a new contract against the odds but he needs to turn this into consistent man management or he will never get the best from the squad we have, regardless of the personnel.
  6. The village idiot has gone now, you can stop arguing with him.
  7. Ibrox tends to drag the bottom of the gene pool for Aberdeen 'support'. Probably because most self-respecting Dons fans avoid the place these days (no offence to whoever was there today)
  8. If we had the resources that you have at your disposal we would be embarrassed to be achieving as little as you are. I'd tell you to fuck off to the EPL but they don't want your bile and stench making a mess in their towns either. Noone likes you and noone cares a fuck what you have to say.
  9. Someone PM me the link please ?
  10. Anything could happen in this game today. The only thing I can say with any certainty is that I can't remember being less interested in a game v's the huns at Ibrox in a long time. I hope to fuck that today we can do something to put some energy back into supporting the Dons. When we were 2-0 up last Saturday I sat in the stand and thought 'please just go on and take this team apart so we can feel really good for a week'. I think as a support we need to see us do something extraordinary. Last season was pretty much the same as this one, the crucial difference was the dire displays and grinding out of results were punctuated by some great moments that kept the energy and momentum behind us all. We really need a good win and Ibrox would be the place to deliver
  11. I didn't even bother reading the text so missed that bit. My cynicism didn't even allow me to go that far
  12. Two points I note here 1. The top is most likely a fake, I'm sure I've seen this posted before 2. New poster comes on to point out great buying opportunity on ebay Mmmmmm....
  13. 6 NI fans and the police kept them back until the Scotland fans had left. Priceless
  14. Sounds like he is working hard.....or should I say running about hard ?
  15. Great sarcy bastard think alike
  16. Just a wild guess but I'd go for 8 ? (57 - 49)
  17. I'll take the fucking executive decisions in this thread if you don't mind
  18. This was a gut reaction we are talking about not a well thought out plan which was executed with forethought and concern to act graciously and correct in all ways. Maybe Aluko was closest to him, maybe he just had a rage about the missed chance and was focused on that. We don't know what the detail was and we don't know what was said and to who but we do know that Jimmy was raging, as we all were. When it gets to the point that the manager can't even blow his lid in a totally irrational manner without people suggesting he should be doing that differently then its getting a bit ridiculous.
  19. Nature abhors a vacuum. The event had been noted by press and fans alike, he could fill the void with his opinion or have it filled with the idle gossip of football forums (see our friends on afc chat )or the tabloid press.
  20. Do we have the right to shout the odds when the team are struggling ? Yes, absolutely. Should the players concentrate on how they play to stop the fans from reacting this way ? Yes, absolutley. Does screaming at the players and booing them when they are terrible help them to improve ? Not a chance. I have some sympathy for Zander as what he is saying is correct even if I believe firmly that we should be able to do so without criticism. I play football once a week and there is this angry guy who always screams at players who are not playing well. When he starts on someone, they always play worse for the rest of the game. I consistantly tell him that he is making things worse because no player is likely to respond to his abuse by stepping up their game. Most will begin to focus on their shortcomings, worry more about close control, go soft into tackles and forget to do the simple things for fear of further abuse. While I agree with what everyone is saying here, the reality is that the players will suffer for it, it's a basic human reaction.
  21. I'll look forward in January to the £200K cheque from Nonentity United then
  22. It's clear that Jimmy was raging about the dropped points and the manner in which it happened, as has been said. If I had been in his position I suspect I would have blown up at someone too. I also suspect that he was specifically annoyed at Sone for not taking the fall in the box. With the benefit of time he will have realised that he cannot state this publicly as it goes against the spirit of the rules so he has made up some horseshit about not tracking back. It's clearly unfair that Sone has been singled out when he was one of the standouts in the game but its also perfectly understandable why JC blew his lid. We are all fucked off with the way it played out and I'm glad there is anger within the squad and management about it.
