  1. They provided commentry for the last 5 minutes of this game on the radio and I actually raised my arms in the air when Gretna scored. No matter how trivial and unimportant this game was it still provided me with great pleasure Of the 1090 they said there were around 700-800 Gretna fans there to witness their swan song. Wonder why Hearts fans were not doing the same ?
  2. I actually thought these signings were quite interesting. Hughes has assembled a young squad that lacks leadership and direction. A few journeymen and experienced players might bring them a better balance. A team to watch I reckon.
  3. Hearts might still be in with a shout. Especially if he is tired of playing in the SPL. Where exactly do defunked football clubs play these days ?
  4. On BBC now. I am a cynical bastard but I think Lee Miller is at his worst when his contracts are secured. Roll on next season
  5. Big gesture chucking it after the last home game eh ?
  6. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/7393867.stm
  7. He is past it and will not do well. This obsession that because a player plays badly for us and is released (correctly so) that he will automatically play well against us is childish and silly and it stops now...OK ?
  8. If there are huns in the Aberdeen end you can fully expect them to have zero respect for that position. Particularly if they become aware that there are more of them around. They will spend the first 20 minutes sniffing the air and when the overwhelming stench of hunnery envelopes their nostrils they will be oozing bile and hatred from every pore by HT. While I worry about the reaction of Dons fans in terms of trouble for the club I also hope these scum get whats coming. Strip the briches from their backsides and warm their heels to Putney Bridge, hooorah!
  9. We lost becuase we were not good enough, not because John fucking McEnroe didn't shout loud enough. Swallow it and get on with the next job....taking the title from the Orcs.
  10. I would have thought with the size of Darren Mackie these days that ate ate ate would be quite apt
  11. It's OK as you probably crapped it out later that day without really noticing it go.
  12. Why do people get so upset about a third kit ? I never understand it. Surely choice is a good thing ? I can't imagine people being sucked into sports shops by some sort of commercial vacuum cleaner and their wallets being withdrawn from their pockets and money rammed into the till while a plastic bag is thrust into their hands with 3 tops in it. Does this happen in Aberdeen ? Has freedom of will and choice been withdrawn from the rights of you poor fuckers?
  13. We are playing Motherwell...can I just remind you of that. Fair enough, they gave us a lesson last time at Fir Park but we should go there with plenty belief we can turn them over. They have very poor recent form and we have decent form. Take the blades away from the wrists just for a second guys eh ? Given the number of games we have needed to go our way this season in Europe, for top 6 and now in the top 6 we are living some sort of charmed existence at the moment. Until 4:45 tomorrow I am going to think positively even if everyone else wants to be Ian Curtis.
  14. Lets be honest here. He is going so why concern ourselves with who has dealt with it wrongly or rightly. Move on.
  15. I hope to find a certain Mr McGhee celebrating the anniversary by gifting us 3 points on Saturday with some set piece magic
  16. I read on the mad site that he had apparently told the squad he was not staying. Not that we can take much from that........
  17. I'm now starting to see why they hate him so over on afc chat......it's a race thing.
  18. Thing is there is nothing we can do about it. That's where my apathy came from, I mean what can be done ? We could just as easily be raging about the goal we lost to St Mirren at Pittodrie to draw 1-1 or the fuck up to let Nade score at Pittodrie or the hitting the post and bar at 4-3 in the semi. None of it will change. If we don't make third it will because we didn't do enough. Simple as.
  19. Was that the game before the unmentionable Ibrox trip ? That was a crazy game, I remember being in a swelling crowd at the back of the SS just heading out when Motherwell went 3-0 up against the huns in injury time to put us top. Was mental.
  20. They will be familiar with him from his role in the 80's movie Wierd Science though: ...or maybe they think he is a top drawer referee ?
  21. I could def see Baz all poped up, there's a fair bit of bling goes with the job, goldy lookin' chains and sovvy rings galore
  22. And only 17,000 turned up as I recall.
  23. Having not been to a game in weeks I am having to endlessly speculate about the idea that the last game I go to (huns game) might actually mean something
  24. We can still afford for UTD to beat them at Ibrox That would put them in the position of needing Celtic only needing a draw against UTD. That would be funny. Basically as long as neither Well, UTD or Hibs get to 56 points we can still do it. So UTD can get a further 3 points, Hibs a further 3 (but we probably need them to get these in their game against Motherwell) and Motherwell can get a further 2 points. None of these point accumulations will be a showstopper for us as long as we get to 56 points by beating Well and huns.
