Viceroy's House was good tho I've since read that it was not quite historically accurate - Gillian Anderson was great as Mountbatton's wife. I also saw Elle which was interesting.

has anyone on here seen Moonlight?? I was so disappointed - far too slow and just could not get into it at all
  9. Why should it make a difference??? The semis have been at that time for the last few years so it was unrealistic to expect anything else It's a semi final ffs why would the time put you off going!! - I have to get to Pittodrie next week from Edinburgh in time for a 12:15 kick off and I can manage that You either want to be involved or you don't - I just don't understand why you all get so humpty about it
  10. It's a game that we should be winning but a combination of the pitch & enforced reshuffle of the team with injuries is going to make for an interesting game Thistle will be confident with their recent form and dons need to prove that Hamilton was a temporary blip A draw wouldn't surprise me...........

I'm finally going to see Moonlight this week Yesterday I saw Twentieth Century Women which was rather quirky and pretty good Also a bril wee Italian film 7 Minuti - based on a true story about female workers in a textile factory - shades of 12 Angry Men and resonates with the whole Brexit immigration debate - well worth a watch

Hacksaw Ridge is very good and Andrew Garfield excellent. Lots of political chat at the Baftas last night, not convinced that Emma Stone should have got best actress as I thought Natalie Portman was immense in Jackie and I really liked Amy Adams in Arrival. Fences and Loving next on my list....

I don't know what you were all expecting with La La Land?! It was a lovely feel good romantic film - the singing and dancing were fab and Ryan Gosling is always easy to watch I think all the ones I've seen that are in the running for best film at the Oscars have been superb so I would be surprised if La La Land gets it over Arrival and Manchester by the Sea in particular Casey Affleck's perfomance was heart breaking, such raw emotion - after that scene when you suddenly understand why he is broken you just feel his absolute torture I'm going to see Hacksaw Ridge this afternoon after a bit of the rugby - I do like Andrew Garfield
  15. I agree with BB in that I would rather play Celtic at home in the next round than face them in the semis or final I would prefer them to play at Tynecastle or ER next and for us to have a wee trip to Dunfermline or a home tie Best pie I have ever had at footie was at Morecambe last season

  18. It's a pity we can't just watch it from your flat. £22 is a bit of a rip for a friendly is it not?! I might go if there are any dons players in the squad
  19. The title seems to make you guys a little bit uneasy
  20. Yeh the guys at work are quite amused that I've been reading it on the bus I'll let you know if it grows on me.........ha
  21. I'm reading I Love Dick at the moment - described as "the most important book written about men & women in the last century" - I'm finding it dull and skimming a bit already, possibly cause I have another 5 books waiting to be read!!
