  1. Great goal - he is a different player for Scotland and was genuinely gutted at the end of the game

    Jokes

I went to see Frankie Boyle a couple of weeks ago and he made a couple of jokes about Maddie that he hadn't been allowed to air on Mock the Week - I laughed a lot

Bet you will be clapping at the end too

It is set in the sixties so there are lots of mini-skirts and hotpants on view if you don't fancy watching strong women fighting for their rights

It's a true story about female factory workers who go on strike for the right to be paid as skilled workers and turns into the fight to get equal pay I was moved - it felt like watching a bunch of suffragettes in the 60s - women died to get the vote you know Manc - you should go watch the film - there were quite a few blokes in the audience and everyone was clapping at the end

Made in Dagenham is very good - Sally Hawkins is excellent as Rita O'Grady
  7. I have just started The Snowman by Jo Nesbo - set in Norway and being compared to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo I'll let you Stieg Larsson fans know if it is any good
  8. I love Louis - is it a new series Manc? I was stuck watching a three hour catch up of X Factor last night so didn't realise he was on
  9. I know one of the guys competing in the badminton doubles but have missed every game he has been in - actually haven't seen hardly any of the Games other than on the news
  10. Boo wedding anniversaries are over-rated - you've got time to take the wife out before the game starts
  11. Ooh makes for an exciting 2nd leg then.............
  12. I have never been a fan of McGhee as our manager and have absolutely no faith in him to take the club forward That said I reckon it would completely unfair on a new manager to take over now with the squad that we have - he would be on a hiding to nothing from the word go So dunno what the solution is - slip McGhee his P45 in his stocking at Christmas maybe and allow someone else a chance to realign the squad in the transfer window
  13. Fucks sake that is my exclusive on a previous thread - I got it at church from my bridesmaid's brother who is his neighbour
  14. It's really just your age auld yin
  15. I only saw the 2nd half today but wasn't overly impressed with Diamond - guy I know who is his neighbour and is pretty friendly with him told me a couple of weeks ago that he is leaving at the end of the season - at this rate I can't see anyone being sad to see him go
  16. Watching Horrible Histories just now - it's quite funny
  17. Ooh me too (even bigger sigh )
  18. It is but I was there to buy food
  19. My Friday afternoon was ruined by being in Dobbies to look at the pets and finding the biggest display of Christmas decorations I have ever seen........................................it's only SEPTEMBER
  20. That ^^^^ looks like dog poo
  21. Have you still not managed that yet I'm going with work the week after next - you can come too if you like
  22. When Mackie came on last night the radio commentator said that Mackie is loathed by the entire Aberdeen support and Richard Gordon took great offence, then Steve Tosh said his nickname in the dressing room was "boo" due to the reaction of the crowd when he came onto the pitch I was quite embarrassed listening to that
  23. Fucks sake I wasn't going to bother listening to the game when we went 1 nil up - now I will have to
  24. Perfect I just bought that last weekend so I may read it next after I finish the last Millennium book tonight. I loved The Shadow of the Wind Went to see The Girl Who Played With Fire at the pics this afternoon - pretty good adaptation of the book tho not nearly as exciting as the first one
  25. My friend's son signed for Hibs at age 17 and Tony Mowbray reckoned he was destined for great things - said at the time he was the most exciting youth prospect on the books Went to Doncaster last summer and was released in January and has now given up football all together He was tiny
