  1. Have a blue nose mate and he absolutely hated his style of play. Time will tell if it’s the right call or not. But as TC says, can see Moyes ending up back there. Two bang average managers.
  2. Allardyce booted out of Everton
  3. Have you contacted the club / club shop? I’ve always found them very helpful so may know some availability.
  4. Your last point is spot on. In Cosgrove we suddenly had a striker who was able to hold the ball up and successfully lay it off for others around them. Not something Rooney or may are really capable of. Rooney’s qualities of course lay elsewhere. Obviously scoring goals is crucial for a striker so I hope he (Cosgrove) adds that to his game over the summer. Think you’re probably right about McInnes’ thought process, I’d also say he probably had to make a few rushed signings so went for logical, albeit cheaper replacements. I really hope he has a summer where he’s not distracted. That’s what really fucked us over last summer.
  5. Ball definitely isn’t versatile but I wouldn’t be unhappy if he was signed on as a squad player (Just not right back).
  6. That was straight out of left field? Why bother signing for us? AOC certainly played himself into a better deal over the past few weeks. If that was the type of player we'd see on a regular basis, I'd have no qualms about it. Huge if though.
  7. Good thread. It’s a funny one, the result shouldn’t change your outlook on a season, but it has. The team actually delivered when they absolutely needed to. Achieving second spot with that squad, a manage who looked elsewhere twice and didn’t know his best XI for the entire season? That’s pretty good going. As I said in the match thread, hopefully that’s that monkey off dms and the teams back. They know they can do it. That said, it was an incredibly frustrating one as we know that team are capable of playing better than they have for the vast majority of this season. Countless big games they failed to show up. This isn’t a great Celtic side and they were exposed by plenty this season. I’m glad we finally managed it, first clean sheet at park head since 94, that’s no mean feat. But where was that level of intensity and desire before? As you say, it’s a huge summer and I am intrigued to see how McInnes recruits. Still not sure I trust him to do it, his record isn’t great and May really has been a waste of money. Maybe there is hope for him / Rooney to develop a relationship with Cosgrove, but we can’t afford to have an impotent attack like this season. However, I’m confident that if the service is there, the goals will come so my priorities are midfield and defence. The cups this season have been thoroughly disappointing. Having decent draws in both, we really should have capitalised on them. The manner of those big game defeats is what really needs to change for next season. We’re going to lose games, of course we are, just show a bit more ambition and turn up. Give ourselves a fighting chance. Overall, I’d give a B-, good but could improve
  8. Just think he’s a dick for choosing them in the first place. Don’t disagree there’s a player there but I wonder about his attitude. Should have done very well with them.
  9. so that's us won at both unwashed and you weren't present do I see a trend developing Jute
  10. Good to see our midfield chip in the a reasonable amount but christ we need to get the best out of our forwards. That the first time Rooney hasn't made 20?
  11. Happy to have been proved wrong on this. Credit where credit is due. Undefeated post split is not something many can boast about. Nice to see us not limp across the line, although, where was that level of effort before? All if's and but's I know. This summer is huge.
  12. What a result to wake up to. Need to watch the highlights, no idea how we pulled that one off but credit to all. Certainly a great way to end a very turbulent season. Hopefully that monkeys now off mcinnes’ back. Also, chuffed for Consie to get a goal. Servant to the club and a fan most importantly. Been exposed this season but his heart and desire is there for all to see.
  13. Don’t see why the hibs game should be any influence on his tactics. I listened to his interview on redtv and was surprised he said. By all means, have an ear out, but we have it in our own hands (technically). We need to win. That’s that. COYR. End the season on a high!

    Lean on Pete. Enjoyable film
  15. Knew there were issues but had put that down to mick McCarthy. Wasn’t aware of any of the other stuff. Sounds like Bristol city all over ( when dm was down there, not now)
  16. Will happily see you win it Tom
  17. And why not, I do admire your optimism
  18. That’s what I was alluding to under catastrophe. Guess we’ll see. Just limits the immediate potential managerial gene pool in Scotland.
  19. Many planning on attending this? Can’t see Celtic laying down despite having a cup final to prepare for. Had there been a realistic chance of the Huns failing to get euro football, maybe, but not now. Don’t think McInnes is clever enough, nor does the team have the bottle, to actually get any sort of result there. Hope I’m wrong, but can see this being a standard 3-0 win for the dhimmies. Which is frustrating as this is not a good Celtic team. I’m tired of hearing the resources excuse, it doesn’t wash with me, otherwise others wouldn’t be able to get anything from them. Time for the team to actually give it a go. We’re going to lose, so at least go down with a fight for a change. Out Home Probably bed but will see if I bother to stay up Bed 3-0 Celtic, no dons scorer
  20. I see Jack Ross is being linked with Ipswich, if that’s the case, then that’s another manager who , barring a catastrophe on his part, will be out of our reach.
  21. Always used to enjoy watching a bit of Andre Rieu on Sky Arts, when I had it. His performances in Limburg always look like they're great fun. Very cloggy.

The Breaker upperer's, not sure it'll come out in the UK, but a new Kiwi film. Very kiwi and very funny. If you've watched a few kiwi films of late, you'll recognise some of the cast.
  23. Scott Hutchison Lead singer of Frightened Rabbit, committed suicide earlier this week. Very sad news
  24. What a time to be alive, Al
