I'm totally with you, it's way OTT. I'm just surprised the Victory fans allowed that to happen, and it looks horrendous for the league. Especially in a country in which the press vilify the fans at every opportunity. Apparently this has been boiling away since 2017. A lot of people predict that this will kill the league.

All very interesting really. Victory have one of the most active supports in the league, and the league runners have decided to host the grand finals in Sydney for 3 years straight. Whole purpose of the finals was that you got the chance to host the final game. It’s United all fans against the league which is actually quite impressive. Jet lag got the better of me, managed to watch the first half and genuinely thought I’d be waking to a victory as I didn’t see us losing it. WTAF? losing what faith I had in Goodwin quickly. Doesn’t seem to be developing us at all. I get we had a lot of change, but I’m not seeing the hall marks of a personality. Mentally, the huns will have the edge over us at Hampden now too, which will be a hard enough game on its own given our away record. I did enjoy Duks goal, very clever routine and the sexual predator was done.

Seems weird to be starting this whilst a WC is still on, but here we go! Most of their squad will likely be back after their WC exploits, just not their croatian contingent? I'd like to hope that we've worked on a few things over this break and it certainly sounds like we've got plans for the Jan window at least. Don't think we'll be good enough to keep it tight, but we're not good enough to go all guns blazing and go toe to toe. Interesting to see who lines up at RB and if we see any of the youth team who've been in good form, start to make their way into the match day squad.
