Tom, you know I didn't mean go down the route of hearts, but as BB says, we need to have a decent balance, at the moment, we do not, and look where it has got us. Arguably, I would say it's been 3 seasons that it's been like this, because JC's final one was pretty dire. You could see things were going wrong, in my opinion, primarily due to the lack of reinvestment into the first team squad.

From the names mentioned in this thread, there are few I'd want. Any confirmation on whether he's left or been sacked? As good as JC was, as has been alluded by a few others in the thread, things were not going well under him. He had run his course at the club so we need some new imput.

That, mcmaster i think is the biggest problem we face now, the fans giving up. And I don't blame them at all.

As Dave_min says, change! Fuck the debt and the new stadium, we can deal with all of that when/if we're competetive! What good is a new stadium if you've got no use for it. I'd say our support has changed somewhat on the back of that though dave. In 95, the fans were still used to having success, but they've had that desire hammered out of them. Lots of folk also seem to have their own agenda's, you only need to look at the red army 12 to see evidence of this. It's a shame you gave up bloo toon, as i completely agree with it and think that some of this current situation could have been avoided. The club find it easy to fob off the fans because of the very reason there is no united front.

Agreed. The stuff you hear about hartley off the pitch is fantastic but his form on the pitch has been patchy at best. Maybe it's exaggerated because the majority of the team are unable to compensate for his loss of pace and sharpness. But still, not as good as i'd hoped.
