  1. I watched it on BBC instead, great because i didn't realise it was on terrestrial TV! As you say, Park played really well, and it was a good team performance from United today and they deserved their win. Owen looked gutted at the end. I thought it was one of his better games in a United shirt as well! Considering how few goals Rooney scored with his head prior to this season, it makes you wonder how much he's practiced it recently. I wish our players showed that sort of dedication and drive to try and improve their game.
  2. Watched the Carling Cup final, decent first half, but the second was a bit drab. Valencia and Rooney linked up really well, but I think vidic was quite fortunate to escape at least a booking for his tackle on Agbonglahor in the 1st half. I also managed to catch a bit of the Spurs Everton game today, Spurs second goal is a peach. Great play just between Corluka, Modric and Kranjcar. Fantastic football.
  3. I think that would be far more exciting than a day at Pittodrie right now
  4. I think that this is the only solution. I worry though that he may be too stubborn to admit defeat on his methods/tactics (see his quote earlier on in the week). Something needs to be done and if this is the only way to do it, he has to be man enough to admit his ideas are beyond these players footballing ability. I just don't understand his persistence with it as we all knew that 4-4-2 is the only setup that these players understand. We know they are stupid?
  5. Shell used to sponsor the kids did they not?
  6. No surprise there then!
  7. Off to Exit again this summer, Chemicals were announced, as was Josh Wink. A few other good acts are playing and the full line up has yet tbc, but fuck knows why Mika is playing
  8. I told him he was being paranoid, but he wasn't having any of it. He said they set themselves up like that and Arsenal are always on the receiving end.... The worst thing about being in London is having to deal with these cretins called Chelsea fans. Near the ground yesterday, they had a "team terry" stall (city fans were also wearing "team bridge". Obviously something in the stall caught my attention, a number of scarves with the red hand of Ulster on them, and some convenient bits of orange. The funniest thing I heard the Chelsea old guard come out with (they were being told to stop singing by the bouncers), their main guy says to another, " oi, remember, I'm number one and you're number 2".
  9. Have to say i missed the challenge and just saw the leg dangling. It was horrible. Shawcross certainly doesn't appear to be a dirty player and looked devastated when he was leaving the pitch. My mate who is in arsenal fan was agro and claiming its no coincidence that arsenal are getting leg breaks. Arsenal showed good spirit to win the game i wondered if they'd cope following the incident. Also, Chelsea fans are scum. Singing no surrender in tgi's. Cunts.
  10. Pitch looks ok. COME ON YOU REDS.
  11. I actually feel bad for their fans. They have probably the best fans in the uk and its not their fault that the club has been run by arabic vultures.
  12. London Huns one down to Inter. Decent game so far, the huns were unlucky not to have a penalty just before half time. Clear as daylight and should have been a red for the Inter player
  13. I think its ludicrous to deny it, why have your head in the sand about the situation? We are in a complete mess, the players have no fight about them unless its against a team that plays football. There are not many of those in the SPL. Whilst I hope that the rest of the league is just as pish as us and won't put a decent run together, to totally discount relegation is stupid.
  14. Pretty much how I read it too. We've heard it all before. The proof is in the pudding...or in this case, on the pitch.
  15. Stuttgart 1 up on Barca!
  16. Anyone read the times article today? Fairly grim reading as well.
  17. Spot on GS. + 1 I've highlighted the bit in bold as its a point I raised before the Hibs game (I think after the Murderwell defeat). The board needs freshening up, some new imput and ideas. I can't see where its going to come from and that is why we are going stale. It doesn't matter who the manager is, this is where the rot first manifests. Mark McGhee has to stay, I just hope that the board miraculously manages to find some cash to invest, like the managed to find to pay off the Jimmy's and Motherwell. Show us evidence of this "extensive footballing budget". The fans have more than done their bit, now its time for you and the rest of the club to step up to the plate. COME ON YOU REDS.
  18. Blimey tsr! Thats just depressed me further but i do agree, its hard to see where the spiral will end.
  19. I stopped reading half way through. Its a load of bollocks. As you saw tsr, its probably more him trying to say the right thing but no matter what he says, unless its, new stadium is on site next year and i will invest in the team this summer, none of us will be happy. You could see this performance a mile off.
  20. Which makes it all the more frustrating that the club do not appear to act on it. Its the same old problem that has been evident for years.
  21. Exactly tsr, they clearly want the cup and somehow managed to stump up the cash to replace a man who wasn't capable of doing so. However as per, the didn't follow it up. We need investment but Fuck knows where its going to come from. Milne is our saviour and oppressor.
  22. As has been highlighted by Ajja and Rocket, JC had to go. It was the right decision to get rid of him, just as most of us agreed/debated before the replacement was announced we felt McGhee wasn't the right answer. Obviously none of us want him to fail, and I hope he can turn it around. But the evidence is firmly stacked against him. Nothing has changed, we changed like for like (or even slightly worse off) and we're back where we were last year but with an inferior league position. Sacking McGhee now is not an option, this team needs rebuilding and investment. I just hope the club has the balls to do it, or a steady decline on and off the pitch will continue.
  23. Fuck you Aberdeen. What a waste of time, money and emotion the past 6 months has been. Thanks for fuck all.
