Hopefully the guys that have been involved on International duty this week will come back refreshed and inspired a kick our team onto a good performance against these guys. We need to build on our relative stability but it is important we start to find the back of the net.

Certainly seems like it! But its the EE so generally a crock of shit anyway McGhee is taking us in a different direction to Calderwood, hopefully its the right one and we'll have a successful season.

Whilst that maybe so, I just think that with anything regarding AFC, we should always take it with a pinch of salt, until it actually happens. Its happened on many occassion before, but as I said, its a positive sign that they are talking about it, lets just hope that they are able to follow through with it.

Jager is far from being a negative twat, but it is something I know we've discussed previously many a time when discussing the topic of this elusive stadium. Many have mentioned what a good idea a bar would be and what Killie have at their ground would be a good idea. It is good that the club are discussing these things, but obviously whether they follow through with it is another thing. I hope they do, but as Jager says, it is all dependent on the licensing body.

Aye GS, was going to mention that one myself. Certainly sounds like a very shrewd move by the club if it is successful. Its certainly not an issue for me to have to leave the bar to get into the ground.

Personally, I think the infirm leaving would be terrible for Scottish football. Even more kids will end up supporting the huns and tims purely because they would be playing in a "bigger league" so to speak. The Scottish game would then be quite umarketable, or would rather attract very little TV money. I know baggy says that there will be increased competition etc...but the reason why the SPL gets any substantial investment at the moment is because companies like ESPN want to see the Huns/Tims play. This also does not mean that because they leave, the football would be any better/more attractive. A lot of folk (not on here) were claiming that it wouldn't end up like the Welsh and Irish leagues, because football is Scotland's national sport. I don't see why it wouldn't to be honest, what incentive would there be for a decent player outside of Scotland to come and play in our league? I know its a rather bleak outlook on things, but I can't see it being any other way. The sooner the infirm realize that they need us as much as we need them, the better things will be in the Scottish game. I think this is what McGhee is pointing out.

Isn't Fozzy playing at CB? But yeah he was doing fine at RB. I agree, I thought thats what Big_Al was alluding more to, that he wasn't anything special when he has here, tried to get a bigger wage (fair play to him) but failed and is suffering because of it. I have very little sympathy for him and don't think he would justify a probable higher wage.

Always thought you were far more positive than that Dave_min! Hopefully he'll return happy that he got to represent his country in a mickey mouse tournament, and feel that he wants to impress further to ensure his selection for the Nigerian first XI.

I agree with you Big_Al, he made his feelings known by choosing not to sign for us. Though it's not like we've never accepted players after they've turned us down once or twice before.
