  1. Apparently out for up to 6 weeks Not good news really! Although Fozzy played well at CB, I don't really see what other choices we have. With my comment I meant more the team that played the majority of the game.
  2. 227 hours since we last scored a league goal?
  3. Scousers down to Fiorentina Good finish.
  4. I would agree with that. He's been pretty poor for more than just this season, I felt his form started to fall off towards the end of last season as well. Apart from the goal against Celtic, he did very little in that particular game.
  5. Its cos we're JIGers and MMGers...
  6. I hope so, but to be fair to JC he actually did blood Pawlett and Paton and said they were very much the future of the club. I did not however expect to see Fyvie playing this season and has been great to see! Re: your last sentence though, the players looked like they were wondering that very thing for most of these games. Saturday was probably the first time they looked like they knew what they were doing (as McGhee said himself, a settled formation). Its taken time, but hopefully things will continue to improve, I'm just not jumping around for joy for five consecutive clean sheets. But as Ajja says, hopefully that will breed confidence throughout the team and we build from the back.
  7. Big time. Would be a big bonus if he was back and fit to face both of them.
  8. City currently 3-1 up against West Ham, Tevez with a double.
  9. I doubt McGhee would do that to be honest. I'm sure it would be part of the agreement that he stays the duration that Nigeria actually participate. Will Mcghee not start with the same team that played der Hun? Just for consistency's sake and the fact that they didn't play that badly?
  10. Did I say I wasn't happy with it? It is good, but i'm not jumping about over it. It still worries me like hell our strikers still can't score, and we don't exactly have many efforts on goal every game do we? Its a good start, and i'm happy with it, I just don't like how it is being portrayed by the club/papers that they have answered the critics, that will happen next saturday against Killie. That is a the real test. The Ibrox result was great, but there's no use turning up against the hoardes of darkness and failing to against Killie.
  11. Whats your point mini? Yes its a good start to have 5 clean sheets in a row, it doesn't hide the fact that we still do not look like we can score goals. Near enough everyone on here accepted Europe papered over the cracks under Jimmy. No-one is or should be getting excited about 1 point from Stybrox or 5 clean sheets. Its what follows is what more important, against teams like Killie etc...we need wins.
  12. No doubting that, Killie will be the true test. If they can show dynamism in their play they should combat Killie. I don't think we will be able to play the same way as we did against der Hun, but we'll see. Saturday was a good start, lets continue it. I read in the P&J today that that was the first time any Dons team has managed to record 5 continuous shut outs in the league since 1991...
  13. Thats the last thing we need, when is Zander back?
  14. Or, Miller gets a nose bleed from exerting too much energy
  15. Is that true Dandy_Don? If so, what a get out clause for him, because it was a shocking elbow. You can clearly see the intent.
  16. What a ball from fletcher for giggs to set up berbatov. His form this season has been increasingly immense. Much better than last season.
  17. Was suprised by that Bb! How didn't he get a red for that? Good win for wigan and a great loss for les blues
  18. Aye, I'm looking forward to MOTD today
  19. Good win for your barcodes today eh BigAl! Finally found your level
  20. I'd agree with that, but I think it would have been fair to share that with Fyvie (or fivvie as our czech commentator was calling him) and Paton. Their industry, willingness to go past a player and determination was great to see. As I said earlier, encouraged me greatly Keep up the progress. Myself and Sharpie were discussing during the game, I wonder what is going through Maguire's head atm, can he see that they've done more in the handful of games they've contributed than he has over two/three years
  21. Shame we couldn't get a win but after tuesday and the precarious start we had to the season this is a great result. I thought miller was our worst player by a mile. It was so encouraging to see our young players excel and in particular Paton didn't lose confidence after being hit by that thug mcculoch. Well done. I hope they build confidence from this. And well done Mcghee. Tactics were spot on.
  22. Well I would considering it is The Scotsman, which is generally a decent paper. Then again, they're a rubgay paper, but I suppose it shows what they know about football...especially if it is a c/p jobbie.
  23. What a farce. I expected more from them.
  24. Whilst I don't disagree that on current form those two are not worthy of a contract, but surely now the club (probably for the first time) holds all the cards? Players we know that can play better, but for one reason or another are not, their stock is low therefore, the club can claim they are not worth a better deal? I'd rather we sort things out sooner rather than later.
  25. Its the best way andrew. Just go to any british bar towards the end and they'll have the final scores on ssn. Better than watching it come in. Btw if you do try listening to it. Bbc radio won't work outside of the uk so i hope you have red tv!
