  1. Oh aye, he clearly wasn't 100% but he still managed to burn pace on a few occassions.
  2. I thought Miller had a header saved off the line?
  3. Certainly didn't look very injured last night, and I certainly agree, if Aluko had his heart set on this mickey mouse tournament, he'll be very disappointed and probably end in tears. I hope he's mature enough to know the club will allow him to leave for the African Cup of Nations and this is a minor set back! We need him big time at the moment. We did nothing yesterday until he, Pawlett and Maguire came on. I was pleasantly surprised how he and Maguire seemed to link up (albeit it for the last 10 minutes).
  4. Thanks for clarifying that for me! Whole situation does amuse me. As Kowalski said, its quite the circus these days. Missed the race on the weekend, I heard it was quite a climax?
  5. When I heard about this the other day I thought it was a joke. Renault have made a complete balls up of this. Why has it taken so long to come to light?
  6. I certainly agree with the last bit of your second paragraph. The players certainly seemed to treat it like a friendly until they suddenly realised that they werent going to win it without some effort. Had Mackie's effort gone either side of the keeper it was in, great touch and accuracy (i.e. it was on target) in the shot.
  7. Agree with the comments about the midfield. We really need a player with bite and i had hoped that kerr was going to be that man. Shame the team took so long to realise they had to farm a win,we actually looked ok going forward. Ref was a complete farce of a man. Can anyone tell me what happened between the falkirk players in the first half?
  8. I'm with fj on this. As much as i hate those jambo cunts, hearts away is probably my favourite fixture. Rather them than having to goto places like killie every week!
  9. I certainly gather from what he said that it sounds like they were just out of our budget rather than their lack of playing ability. From the players we were linked with/chasing, the quality appeared to be there. But I find it strange that the budget appeared to fluctuated over the past few months, and what sort of budget the board had actually set? I suppose there is no point in dwelling on it, as its passed and we're disappointed. But it just seems really weird.
  10. Whilst its good to hear that he's getting players early (proactivity, always good) its surely partially down to him/the club, why we've fucked up in recruitment this summer. As someone mentioned in another thread, its been a fail of epic proportions. So really, thats the least they need to be doing that to make up for it. Our squad is threadbare. Hopefully we can ride it out. At least there were no emergency duff and young signings.
  11. His spin doctor abilities are improving on a monthly basis. Its a load of crap but hell, if we're getting players like Fyvie, Paton and Pawlett breaking through and actually making an impact on the first team I'm happy. I still am unhappy though that we did not sort out our entire right hand side.
  12. So no news at all? Its a bit disappointing really. Really needed another striker and ideally a right mid.
  13. Watching SSN as well then Padre?
  14. Really? Hadn't seen anything about it, though haven't been on the net much recently.
  15. Anyone else notice Dundee have continued their signings today. 3 year deal for Klimpl
  16. So do I take it that its quite a slow day on the transfer front in Scotland? I see Motherwell have completed the signing of an ex french u21 who plays for Charlton. No-one seen Batistuta yet at Aberdeen Airport??
  17. Was thinking about that just after the last game. If he went, on his current form, I wouldnt shed a tear. I can't even remember the last decent game he had? Around Christmas last year? Hopefully McGhee can get another striker in that a)he might enjoy playing alongside and b) provide competition to allow him to be dropped and give him a kick up the arse.
  18. My thoughts exactly, at least they'll be able to push the budget out for morning rolls, doublers? So long Bossu, you were shite.
  19. Was thinking the same thing. Sounds like there are a few positives to take from the game (albeit not in the striking dept). Its never a bad thing have some good competition for places and hopefully its a partnership that will continue its decent start. How did Grassi play?
  20. Man utd - arsenal was quite a good watch, plenty of dodgy tackles and dubious decisions. United were very lucky to get the win, but oh well
  21. Do i take it that it was a bore draw? Wasn't able to listen to the game and not been on the net all day.
  22. Surely Romanov can't be that stupid again. Although does he not have that ex-chelsea manager at Swinecastle? Or is that at one of his other clubs?
  23. Everytime I seem to post it seems to take a while for the website to realise I've posted something. Not sure if this is a server issue your side or my side though
  24. If true, that would be hilarious
  25. I hope we don't sign the former and I doubt we'd sign the latter. Didn't he sign a new deal before he got injured last season? I heard Barry Nicholson had a double leg break on the weekend.
