  1. They had nothing to play for though. I didn't expect much from hivs, I expected more from the home support though! I thought we'd break the 15k mark. Oh well. Happy days nonetheless!
  2. That in itself was my major thorn if only thorn in JC's tenure. We can and are clearly capable of playing football properly and taking the game to teams, we just didn't do it anywhere enough. Had we done it, I don't think/though can't say for certain obviously, we would have lost those cup games. But thats all a matter of opinion and in the past now. The next week shall be very interesting.
  3. I'm a bit mixed about this. I think as bobo said, I think he's done a fantastic job and stabilised the club we love after many years of uncertainty and underachievement. He's left the club with solid foundations and I think its better now than during the season. It now gives the club time to make (and I hope they've already sounded out) a suitable replacement. We needed to freshen something up because I think even JC felt he'd taken the club as far as he could. I just hope the board along with Willie Miller make the right choice. WM made the right choice with JC and I hope that they do the same again. Thank you very much Mr Calderwood and Mr Nichol, you have provided me with some of the greatest memories whilst being an Aberdeen fan and done a lot for the club. For that I thank them both and wish them both the best!
  4. nervy pairing but we have little choice! COME ON YOU REDS!
  5. Not going to the game today?
  6. Hope there's a good crowd today and obviously that everything goes our way today! COME ON YOU REDS! :ultras:
  7. I wonder if he faced stiff opposition for his Nobel Prize!
  8. I hope you need the toilet
  9. haha, are the spanish tv crews like the British where they don't show it when someone runs onto the pitch? I see Barca are one down, but I suppose it doesn't really matter to them though.
  10. Not a lot to disagree with in his post, however, this is AFC we're talking about and they very rarely do the sensible option. I know we can't really afford to get rid of him so obviously as baggy says, I hope someone is taking him off our hands. I just can't see it though. I await monday with anticipation to see if anything actually comes of this. Certainly plenty of rumours flying around but I guess we just have to play the waiting game. As I've said earlier, since the dunfermline debacle, I've thought it was time to go this summer, especially since we've been shite in the league since then (which I would have forgiven him for had we actually attempted to get third).

Out of interest, has anyone been to Honduras or Costa Rica?
  12. Was he at Blackpool? Or was that only on loan?
  13. What happened midweek? Come on Aberdeen lets end the season with a bang
  14. Fingers crossed you manage, but I don't know what the club's policy/attitude is towards the sharing of season tickets? Surely logic should reign supreme
  15. I was going to say, it sounds like they failed completely!
  16. So you're both right? No real point in discussing Kyle, he's not what we need and I'd hate to see this "internationalist" in the red of Aberdeen. Yes he's scored 8 goals for Killie, but who's to say he'd score 8 goals for us? Look at Lovell. Scored plenty for Dundee, didn't exactly set the heather alite with us?
  17. I'm not denying that Jute. You know I don't rate our strike force (only Miller when he wants to play) and Maguire, well he seems to be coming into a bit of a game of late and showing glimmers of hope again. But yeah I think its unacceptable, and I knew our strikers wouldn't reach that ellusive 30 goals in the season tally. Its pathetic, but I don't think the way the team has been set up at times has helped this. I'm just saying Kyle is not the answer, but as you quite rightly say, he epitomises how poor the SPL is and how poor our strikers are.
  18. I can't dispute that, but I just don't think he's the calibre of player we should be going for. He's another target man. I don't want to watch hoof ball.

I'd disagree with you that all airline food is rubbish. I've had some great breakfast rolls with BA, some awesome food with Emirates and United. Admitedly i've had some shockers, but no worse than the food provided on the pigeons. Does amuse me how Schiphol have acknowledged this by building a cattle shack for the Budget airlines. I think that is one of the reasons what's put me off. I hate having to use that terminal. No seats, vending machines or toilets.
  20. Surely you're having a laugh? He's a pile o pish despite having kept Killie up this season. There's no chance he'd score 20 goals.
  21. Don't think the club allow it, one of the reasons why the Ultras had to move was it not?

I was going to say dave_min, thats not Ryan Air colours! Is that a 400 series? Don't get me wrong, he is very good at what he does or has done. I just hate it. They take the piss. I don't have any real beef with budget airlines, just generally the customer service is piss poor. I've been on Ryan Air twice, to O'Porto and back, and the worst thing, despite their sickly yellow interior was this bloody song they kept playing on repeat before the journey. It was worse than that bloody Frog! I prefer to pay that little bit extra nowadays for a) a bit of peace, b) food and c) reliable and user friendly times! But I will still use budget airlines if they are considerably cheaper. I've flown Wizz Air a few times, they were ok. Actually had hot air stewardesses!
