  1. So basically the Motherwell team then? I think it would surely be suicide to only bring in 3 for the 5 we have lost, especially since it was clearly highlighted last season we didn't have enough to compete. But I suppose given the financial predicament of the SPL currently, it doesn't give us much room to manoevre. I'd hope for 3 permanant signings and possibly a couple of loan signings.
  2. Probably better than the Exit line up, though that has a fair few hidden gems in it! Don't know how I'll last time 8am everyday, but needs be and all that Weather wasn't looking too good when I checked yesterday, I'm hoping that that isn't the case when I'm there!
  3. Aye BBC gossip was saying they are trying to hijack our bid to sign him. I think I'd prefer him to Hughes, as he's shown interest in playing for us/MM. I don't think Smith would agree to sign for us surely? Whilst I think we need to provide genuine competition, I can't see him accepting to join us and sit on the bench, and I think our money could be better utilised elsewhere in the team.
  4. I'd actually say the St. Midden kit isn't that bad, minus it being their kit.
  5. Deek said that? A bit of pointless journalism, incidentally, how long do we have to put up with him?
  6. Indeed, then we would be in quite a pickle because there is no doubting that he wouldn't leave, but I suppose this is a risk we have to take.
  7. They're both just special He-man
  8. I don't think you are being anymore positive than most of us? He wasn't my first choice, but hell, he's got a spot for Aberdeen in his heart and if he becomes our manager then I shall support him until he leaves. Haven't heard anyone saying that there will be a MMIG/MMMG squad ?
  9. Well, we'd need cover now that Mark Kerr has decided to become a nutter
  10. And has an extensive collection of photographs
  11. Hadn't thought about that. Could very well be the case. But then again, who knows, maybe the Mackie that usually turns up around contract renewal time might convince him otherwise.
  12. Seems like the wait is over. As i've said before, wouldn't have been my first choice, but hell, if he becomes our manager I wish him all the best of luck and he will have my support one hundred percent. Clarkson would be a good signing and could be good foil for Miller. Hopefully it won't stop the progress Maguire appeared to be making, or rather he doesn't give up.
  13. How did he play? Surely we won't be linked with him anymore now that JC and JN have gone?
  14. Mizer, I'm sorry but I completely disagree with you. JC showed us plenty of commitment, and we know, had he got offered the chance to manage a bigger club, he would have jumped at the chance, much like Dingus would and clearly is still holding onto a faint hope. There is no way he will be at the club after 5 years if he is appointed. Yet he's supposed to be one of us and is holding the club to ransome?!? I will support him if he's made manager but by fuck, I'm not happy about it and he's making an arse out of us and the club.
  15. Exactly, surely we want someone that is 100% committed to the cause, and its quite obvious for all to see (I don't blame him) that he wants the choir boys anonymous job. Does make you wonder who else that is remotely qualified is on that list
  16. I think this is what frustrates me about the whole affair. It makes me feel like we are desperate, which we probably are as they want to get the right man. I'm just not convinced he is the right man.
  17. Body in the boot.
  18. I'm not sure if I'm happy with that really, Celtic's reject, but I guess that was always how it was going to be.

  20. I thought Mowbray was 1st choice? And they were mulling over the fact they had to pay a million in compensation to West Brom? But since Coyle and Martinez have said now, thought maybe they should go back. I'm not really that fussed though, I just want us to get a decent manager!
  21. I would agree, and I'd hope the club appoint the right man to inspire him, but the problem is, only Scott Severin knows who is going to be good enough to do so.
  22. So when on thursday were we finding out about our new manager? I must have missed it
  23. We need a CB and fast. Mind you, we need a manager first Cheers and good luck at St. Midden, but not against us
