  1. Good strong message, I just hope the club actually take it seriously. Something needs to be done, but i'm not too sure if it should be now or at the end of the season
  2. 18. Aberdeen 4 - Smeltic 2
  3. What an absolute load of bull that story is. Christ, the bigger picture is we're shite in cups and go out to teams we shouldn't do and generally don't set the heather alite in the league. Attacking football? You are having a laugh. Same old Jimmy, same old story. I just pray to fuck he's gone by the summer no matter what happens between now and then. You've done your bit Jimmy but we can't keep building a new team. The buck stops with you, whilst you've provided us with some awesome highs, you're beginning to provide us with far too many lows and still speak shite in the press. I agree wholeheartedly with the article by Crighton and I generally do think he speaks what most of us are thinking at the times. I think most of us felt some optimism coming into and during January (Hamilton game aside) and I think he's been very consistent with JC's tenure, inconsistent (if that makes sense?).
  4. Naturally, but as I said, I thought he looked far more comfortable and competent in midfield. I genuinly thought he'd never played right back before in his life! That's how bad he was. Yes he's young, but as I said, he knew nothing about positional marking or awareness. I think he gave one guy about 10/15m of space when you could see the ball was going to go there. But i'm not sure how much this was to do with the tombola man's tactics because the players looked lost that night.
  5. Apart from TC who thought he had a good game
  6. Can't believe the challenge on Dargo!
  7. According to a guy on MAD (who has a mate that's a city fan) he doesn't even know his own best position. Probably why he came up here to play Jimmy's Totaal Voetbal I thought he looked fine against Smeltic at Pittodrie and Rangers when he came on in Midfield, maybe a bit hesitant at times but knew how to pick a pass. His positional awareness just doesn't seem to be of a RB', especially at St. Midden.
  8. I can't believe so many folk have gone for bottom six I predicted we'd finish fifth with Hearts finishing third, and looks like that will sadly come true. But to say we're gonna be bottom six, sheesh it would really have to go tits up for that!
  9. I see Vidal has been included in the England U-20 squad and Aluko is only a reserve?!? They must know something we don't. All I know is the boy isn't a right back! Midfielder possibly.
  10. What's wrong with the other birds! Racist I look forward to watching it on tuesday or wednesday!
  11. I know I predicted us to lose, and had we played a better team there is no doubt we would have. It was very much a point gained against hibs, but I was merely pointing out that I think its a sad state of affairs that he said (if he did indeed say it in the manner quoted) that it spurred them on. To what exactly? Great football and a glorious win for the Dons? But as I said, at least we didn't lose.
  12. Exactly, couldn't have put it better myself.
  13. I'm not disagreeing with you, I think it needs to be done. Cos our team are lacking everything at the moment. At least we'd get a chance to see what the youth would be like in the first team.
  14. What a sad state of affairs. completely agree, thats pathetic. Great, it spurred you on to draw with a team below us in the league. Great stuff.
  15. Duff played well against Smeltic last season in Midfield. So i'm not adverse to the idea either. Seve needs to either be in defence or out of the team.
  16. Well thats how the rich stay rich But yeah it makes sense not to get emotionally involved, but then again as I said, it seemed refreshing to see folk that would generally not have any real contact with that respective aspect of society actually have some heart and soul. The two I mentioned seemed to be dealing with grander schemes which would impact many aspects of society, whereas the others seemed to target smaller groups. That guy you call a caahhnntt came across as one Then again, you can also say maybe he gave the minimum to "inspire" them to continue getting support on their own accord. Self help styli.
  17. Totally, but it just comes across that way sometimes. Like one guy who donated to an orchestra who needed 15k to survive, so he gave 10? To me that doesn't make sense, considering they were in such a place where they very rarely got much money from fund raising and had a big cut of funding from the council/government who pretty much funded them. As I said, maybe its more the way that the programme is edited to make them look like that.
  18. I'm not saying its wrong for them to go back to them, as most of them have worked hard and from scratch to get where they are. But I suppose the point Andrew is making is that they don't have a permananent physical presence in the community that they were helping. I keep going on about these two, but they actually hired the people who had started the community programmes (they had a very basic wage to start with but funding was cut etc...). We could start a whole new thread on philanthropy Most people on that programme give 10k max, but these guys, especially the guy in possil park gave about 250k to support one scheme. I know it makes them look good but I think its nice to know acts of kindness still exist, maybe they don't need to be on such a scale, but they exist nonetheless.
  19. Thats why I mentioned the two above, they are actively involved in the areas and actually help maintain their "investments". Well as far as I could tell anyway, much better than the majority of them which would be where I agree with you.
  20. Well I don't think its far from the truth, we know the club are happy with reasonable stability and as has been mentioned before, a top 6 finish. This to them is a successful season with the odd cup run. Despite the product on the park severly lacking in any quality/entertainment whatsoever, as long as this bunch of players/management keep grinding out top 6 finishes, I don't think we'll hear a word from the club
  21. Good programme, though some are better than others. A couple that spring to mind, the guy who helped out people in Possil Park, by far the most genuine and generous guy they've had on there, despite giving a blind hun cash for buckie/season ticket at Stybrox for 5 years. And a woman who helped maintain a few community groups in Rochdale. Most of the millionairs (especially one that was in an old mining town near Middlesborough I think?) seem to show great joy and smugness when they tell the folk they are millionaires. Something which the two I mentioned did not do. So, its good programme
  22. Its ok, I'll let that one slide But it is true, just makes life easier when you feel happy about your club! Mizer, you've got an optimistic hat on today But yeah, it is true, it would have to seriously go tits up for us not to be top 6!
  23. Seriously?!?! How can his position NOT be under threat after another shocking result? If so thats absolutely proposterous from the club. He should at least be fearful for his job because by fuck we've had a very mediocre/poor season with some horrendous lows and records being broken (all for the wrong reasons).
  24. Didn't realise that Bobo. Haha Hebrew, you really have it in for him eh But I agree, no point in sacking him now, won't do the squad any good at all.
